All-State Band
All State Band is March 29 at Watertown High School. All-state qualifiers are organized into two bands and perform a Grand Concert at 4pm (3 MT). SDPB streams the concert live at SDPB.org/Band and SD.net. The concert will be recorded and will air in April on SDPB1.
The South Dakota Board for Educational Telecommunications will meet virtually on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM Central Time/8:30 AM Mountain Time. Contact SDPB for more information.

SINCE 1987, South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) has partnered with donors, nonprofits and communities to create charitable legacies and strengthen philanthropy in South Dakota.
GIVING FROM THE HEART WITH FORMER GOVERNOR DENNIS AND LINDA DAUGAARD
Former South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard and his wife Linda have long been dedicated to giving back to South Dakota. Their philanthropic efforts began with the Children’s Home Society, where Dennis served for nearly two decades, culminating as executive director. Governor Daugaard currently serves as Vice Chair for the South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) Board.
Both Dennis and Linda have found a powerful way to continue their giving by partnering with SDCF. Through a life estate plan, they’ve gifted their home, ensuring their impact will continue for generations. “We deeded our home to SDCF for the benefit of Children’s Home and the Fairy
Godmother’s Fund, reserving a life estate, meaning we live there for the rest of our joint lives. It’s a great way to make a nice charitable gift irrevocably but get a pretty healthy charitable deduction today,” said Dennis.
Their story reflects a deep emotional commitment to their home state and its people, and their actions serve as an inspiring example of how philanthropy can create lasting change. Linda stated, “We have everything we need right now and if we can help others, that’s our obligation.”
