Emily Graslie, Rapid City native, YouTube star and Chief Curiosity Correspondent at Chicago’s Field Museum hosts Prehistoric Road Trip, a new three-episode miniseries from WTTW Chicago that premieres on SDPB June 17. In the series, Graslie embarks on an epic road trip through America’s fossil country, including over eight sites in South Dakota, where she encounters mysterious creatures and bizarre ecosystems that have shaped Earth as we know it. With her trademark sense of adventure and wit, Graslie explores the American West from above and below to better understand our planet’s past and what new discoveries might mean for its future. In celebration of SDPB’s very special connection to Emily Graslie and Prehistoric Road Trip, SDPB is partnering with the SD School of Mines & Technology (SDSMT), Youth in Science Rapid City, Inc., Badlands National Park and others for an exciting event.

Hello! I’m a big fan of SDPB. Some say I watch waaay toooo much SDPB1, 2, 3... I love the SDPB Magazine, as a guide to watching and listening, and as a valuable publication in its own right. The articles are interesting, well-written invitations to broadcasted events/programs. I think this magazine shows our state in a good light, which, in my opinion, is something we need right now. Plus, it’s just beautiful to look at! February’s edition especially made me want to write this letter. I’m looking forward to March’s edition! Thanks for listening! - Laurie B. I love the series Classical Stretch! I hope you put it on again, soon!! I also like Happy Yoga. Please continue these programs. I wish they could be just a little later, but I can DVR. - Julie L.
Thank you SDPB viewers and listeners for your valuable feedback. Write to our editor, Katy Beem, at katy.beem@sdpb.org. We look forward to hearing from you! April April2020 2020
