The long-anticipted eighth season of Doc Martin premieres this month. Watch while you can! Because Doc Martin producers Mark Crowdy and Philippa Braithwaite, wife of series star Martin Clunes, have confirmed next season (the ninth) will be the last for the irritable physician. Crowdy and Braithwaite said, “We’ve had the most incredible time making this show that we love and care deeply for, and feel very privileged, We’d like to thank our audience around the world for coming on this great journey with us, and really hope you enjoy these next two seasons and think they’re the best yet.” Meanwhile, the eighth season promises to continue the adventures of Portwenn’s locals, Martin’s onagain, off-again relationship with local school teacher, and, of course, his signature rascibility. An SDPB fan favorite, Doc Martin airs Thursdays at 9pm (8 MT) on SDPB1. 24
