Mad Fundraising March – Looking for Local

looking for loca l organisati ons & Resi dents The Mayor of Seaford’s chosen charities this municipal year are the Down Syndrome Development Trust and The Youth Counselling Project – two very worthy local causes.

Cllr Nazish Adil, the Mayor of Seaford explains, ‘I have been busy fundraising for these charities and want to be able to boost the total that is raised by holding a Mad Fundraising March. I am looking for and encouraging local organisations and residents who are willing to do whatever they can to help in this endeavour!’

Suggestions for activities or events could be, but not limited to: • Having a Mayor’s Charity pot in your business for the month of March

• Sponsored event • Hosting a quiz • Doing a raffle • Collecting small change for the month • Hosting a coffee morning • Holding a table- top sale. These are only some ideas: be creative and please feel free to do whatever you are comfortable with.

During the month of March, the Mayor will also be available to come and promote your fundraising, and aims to attend a local business every day in March. This will be promoted on the Mayor’s Facebook page and in a press release at the end of March.
