Lieutenant Governor’s Address

Hopefully you’ve been able to start off your service year with a bang, and as we transition to a mind set for the later of the year we would like to encourage you to keep serving your communities and engaging with Key Club. The district has many ways for you to do just that, whether it’s attending International Convention in late June or enrolling in the Community Food bank of New Jersey’s Teen Hunger Institute on July 29th, or attend the up coming District Convention starting April 1, we’ve provided a myriad of avenues for you to stay involved. Until then, enjoy the rest of the year!

Hunterdon Central Key Club

This service year is now beginning to come to a close. We have done many events and plan do many more before we are completely done. We hope that everyone continues to commit to service throughout the year as we begin to slow things down a bit.

The Editor

Hello Everyone, Thank you to all of you who take the time to come read these newsletters. I put a good deal of work into them, and attempt to give the best information to all of you that I can regarding the events that take place in The Hunterdon Central Key Club and in all other levels of Key Club because they all do effect each other. Many of the newsletters have had a page introducing and describing the officers at Central for Key Club. Some time soon we will be holding elections for the new officers and we hope that they will be able to enjoy this as much as we have and that they still are able to help the community in service and do the best they can to better our club. Thank you all!

Our Activities

At this point of the year things are beginning to slow down and we might have fewer events. But we still plan to get more done before this year is done. We will be working with the Mental Health Stigma Task force to raise awareness for their cause and hopefully spread that awareness in the school and through out the community.

Our Activities

At our latest meeting we made cards for elders with Meals and Wheels. They were heart felt letters to people that might not be getting lots of contact with other people to brighten their days.

New Jersey District

Now that Key Leader is over the service year is coming to and end. District Convention is coming up very shortly. It is the first weekend in April and all the new Lieutenant Governors and other board members will be sworn in. The Lieutenant Governor for the next service year will be Sean Quinn. The theme for the District Convention will be License to Serve. To learn more about things on the District level go to their website — http://www.njkeyclub.org/

District Convention

The next big event that is coming up for the New Jersey District of Key Club is District Convention. This is where many Key Clubbers from New Jersey go to a hotel and see the old District Board off and welcome in the new. Everyone has a good time and meets new people. The theme will be License to Serve and it will be April 1– April 3.

Key Club International

This month Japan became the 37th nation to join the Key Club family. This goes to show how big Key Club really is and how many students are making a difference around the world.
