Lieutenant Governor’s Address
Hopefully you’ve been able to start off your service year with a bang, and as we transition from a school mindset to a summer mindset, I’d like to encourage you to keep serving your communities and engaging with Key Club. The district has many ways for you to do just that, whether it’s attending International Convention in late June or enrolling in the Community Food bank of New Jersey’s Teen Hunger Institute on July 29th, we’ve provided a myriad of avenues for you to stay involved. Until then, enjoy the rest of the year!
Hunterdon Central Key Club
Now that we have had the first few months of meetings we would like to thank everyone for participating in all our events through out the year. We will have lots more and we love that everyone
is
so
enthusiastic
for
participating in all of them. If we keep it up we will be doing a truly amazing job and this will be a very successful year.
The Treasurer
My name is Michael Bogart. I joined Key Club back in my sophomore year of high school. I was skeptical of the club at first, mainly because I didn't know what I was looking for in a club, but soon found out that Key Club was the perfect fit for me. Key Club is a relaxed club that allows you to volunteer on your own time, which is why I loved it. Since then I have been volunteering for Key Club every chance I get. To me, volunteering is what makes the world go round. Because of Key Club I have had the opportunity to donate my time towards others which has changed my life in a positive way. Everyday I meet new people who impact my life and make me see the world from different perspectives. All in all Key Club has driven me to understand different perspective of life and give back to the world that has given so much to me.
Our Activities
We are at the point of the year where we have done a lot of events but we still have time to do more. We helped at the Wizards Game at JP Case, the Robert Hunter Family Game Night. We are going to be helping at the Francis A. Demares Elementary School Game Night as well. These are just some events we have done through out this month.
New Jersey District
Now that Key Leader is over the service year is coming to and end. Soon the elections for LTGs will be happening. The election for our division will be February 6. The next big event with the District of New Jersey will be DCON. It is bound to be a good time and its highly recommended that if you can attend to do so. The theme this year will be License to Serve. For more information on the district go to the website to see everything they are doing. http://www.njkeyclub.org/
District Convention
The next big event that is coming up for the New Jersey District of Key Club is District Convention. This is where many Key Clubbers from New Jersey go to a hotel and see the old District Board off and welcome in the new. Everyone has a good time and meets new people.
Key Club International
This month Japan became the 37th nation to join the Key Club family. This goes to show how big Key Club really is and how many students are making a difference around the world.
