We make it happen Since day-one, SE has played a major role in the BMX lifestyle. It’s crazy to think that more than 40 years have passed since the godfather of BMX, Scot Breithaupt, created Scot Enterprises – SE Racing – and that we’ve been in the game ever since.

At the birth of SE Racing in 1977, BMX was a fledgling sport. It went on to become a national craze in the U.S. during the 1980s with BMX tracks popping up all over the country and scores of families getting in on the fun and excitement. Over the years BMX has ebbed and flowed and trends have come and gone. At SE we’ve seen it all and have been intertwined in the life every step of the way. We planted the SE flag with our very first frame — the JU-6 in 1978 — and were on the ground during the BMX explosion in the early ‘80s. We were there during the rise of freestyle and rode out the quiet early ‘90s. SE was on the scene for the arrival of the X-Games in 1995 and when BMX became an Olympic sport. And we’re still here today witnessing SE being passed down through generations.

WELCOME BACK PK BMX Hall of Famer Perry Kramer is best known for being the “PK” in “PK Ripper,” the most famous and longest-running BMX bike in the history of the sport. As an international BMX superstar throughout the 1970s and ‘80s, Perry racked up major pro wins around the world, including his first big win at the 1979 Jag World Championships. Perry has recently rejoined SE Bikes and will always be one of BMX’s biggest legends. Perry’s bike of choice will always be the PK Ripper.

ELITE RACE SERIES When organized BMX racing came onto the scene back in the 1970s, SE Racing was the first company to produce a high-end aluminum BMX frame. This ground-breaking frame later went on to become the PK Ripper and has been in production longer than any other BMX bike in the world. This jaw dropping bike first debuted in the late ‘70s, right at the tipping point when BMX racing became a nationwide craze. The PK Ripper frame design has always been unique and purposeful with super stiff floval (flat + oval = floval) tubing used for the front end instead of standard round tubing found on other brands’ bikes. This style of floval tubing is still used for the top tube on all bikes in the Elite Race series, while the down tubes are now wider diameter and bi-oval shaped for increased stiffness. The Elite Race series starts with the Mini Ripper for the little tikes, all the way up to the Floval Flyer for the larger cruiser class racers. Over the years there have been many modifications and upgrades to the bikes in this series. But one thing remains: These bikes are fast as hell.

26” STR-26 QUADANGLE
Before the Quadangle there was the STR-1. This dates back to the late 1970s when Stu Thomsen was SE Racing’s National #1 pro and the sport’s first superstar. His signature frame at the time was the Stu Thomsen Replica-1. The STR-1 frame had a unique design with both of the double down tubes wrapping underneath the bottom bracket shell and continuing around the Looptail rear end all the way back to the seat tube. Less than ten STR-1 bikes were produced, making them almost mythical and the most sought after frames of all time in the vintage BMX world. Fast forward 40 years to today and SE is proud to bring you the limited edition STR-26. All of the unique features and radness of the original STR-1, but built for the bigger rider with 26” wheels. This bike comes with an authentic SE Racing/ Stu Thomsen trading card personally signed by Stu. Once again, SE’s BMX history repeats itself.
