Here, there and everywhere, thats what! Once the good ship Sentinella sets her sails, there´s no telling where you’re going to end up! In past issues we’ve covered incredible experiences first hand with street food tours on the streets of Saigon Vietnam, we’ve interviewed Gordon Ramsay’s Thai food teacher in Thailand and we’ve explored the ruin bars and city quarters of Budapest. How does the “yellow peril” get to travel so far and wide I hear you ask? Well Málaga is more of a melting pot of travelers than you may think and every now and then these opportunities arise and we sharpen our pencils, clean our lenses and off we trot! Anyway, enough about our cosmopolitan past and concentrate on the present. A little closer to home but nevertheless, we were invited to the Spanish royal family’s favourite restaurant in Sanlúcar De Barrameda! the famous town where the first circumnavigation of the globe began. Sandy white beaches, famous sherries and absolutely divine local food. We would normally have brought you the exclusive on this of course, however due to the nature of the high profile invitation, we were obligated to leave our cameras at the door. However, there may be a sneak peak in next months edition...shhhh. All that to say, destiny does not do home visits, get out there and enjoy what September has to offer you!!

Steep ramps between lost goat farms along with steady parts between fields will finally bring you to pass Puerto de la Joya, which naturally separates the coastal range of mountains Sierra Penibetica from Antequera, forming a depression created by the river Guadalhorce. Once you do it from the east you will never forget it!
Start the route at Villanueva de la concepcíon and finsh a few kms north of Nogales. We do not recommend these routes for everyone. When cycling make sure you are prepared for every eventuality and never be afraid to ask others for advice.

However, knee problems are more common than it seems. While more is learned every day about COVID-19 and the virus that causes it, there are still things, such as post-COVID conditions (also known as long COVID), that are unknown.
From what we know, COVID-19 spreads more easily than flu. Efforts to maximize the proportion of people in the United States who are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines remain critical to ending the COVID-19 pandemic. More information is available about COVID-19 vaccines and how well they work.
What is the difference between Influenza (Flu) and COVID-19?
Compared to flu, COVID-19 can cause more serious illnesses in some people. COVID-19 can also take longer before people show symptoms, and people can remain contagious
Influenza (flu) and COVID-19 are both contagious respiratory illnesses, but they are caused by different viruses. COVID-19 is caused by infection with a coronavirus first identified in 2019. Flu is caused by infection with a flu virus (influenza viruses).
You cannot tell the difference between flu and COVID-19 just by looking at the symptoms alone because they have some of the same symptoms. That’s why testing is needed to tell what the illness is and to confirm a diagnosis. Testing is also important because it can reveal if someone has both the flu and COVID-19 at the same time.

Spain’s property prices have been steadily increasing year on year since the European credit crash in 2008 and the market is recovering strongly since the pandemic. According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in January 2022, a staggering 52,684 property transactions took place in Spain, which is the highest figure for the first month of the year since 2008. February 2022’s figures were slightly higher at 53,623 transactions, which is an annual increase of 24%.
20.4% of February’s property transactions were new homes and 79.6% were used. The number of new homes being purchased increased by 9.2% compared to February 2021 and used homes increased by 28.4%. According to Idealista, in the year of the pandemic, sales among foreign residents fell by 22.1%, but in 2021 these figures rose by 51.2%. Looking ahead, ongoing concerns over European energy security may continue to act as a headwind for the euro in the coming week. World Tourism Day will be celebrated as the shift towards tourism is being recognised as a crucial pillar for development and as progress is well underway. May 2022 marked the first time the United Nations General Assembly held a special debate on tourism, illustrating the historic relevance of the sector. World Tourism Day
International tourist arrivals at the start of 2022 were double the level recorded in 2021. In some regions, arrivals are already at, or even above, pre-pandemic levels. The lifting of the remaining travel restrictions, alongside rising consumer confidence, will be important drivers for the sector’s recovery, bringing hope and opportunity to many millions of people around the world.
At the same time, destinations and businesses are proactively adapting to meet challenges and responsibilities, as illustrated by the wave of signatories to the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism, spearheaded by UNWTO. Tourism’s International Observance Day will put people at the center of key discussions. Where is tourism going? Where do we want to go? And how do we get there?

Loss of hair..it ain’t fun is it!
Most people experience hair loss as they get older. Often, it’s related to genetics and the natural process of aging. In other cases, balding may be due to an underlying medical condition. That’s just hair going through its cycles, and there will be a new one to replace it. But hair loss may be a sign of a more serious medical condition like stress for example that needs an evaluation by a Asdermatologist.youmightsuspect, hair loss is completely normal at every age when it happens within certain parameters. Children lose hair every day after all, and the same is true for normal adults. You can shed about 100 hairs a day as an adult without falling outside normal parameters. The average human head has about 100,000 hairs, and 100 is just a small fraction compared to what (should be) growing every day.

minerals, and nutrients than carbohydrates and protein. These nutrients not only serve vital functions in the body but they also serve as a built-in signal to the body that it is satisfied and nourished, which helps to stop us from eating as our body recognises we are full. Yes, the body is affected by the number of calories you consume, but at the end of the day, the body runs on nutrients, not just calories. dietary fat only applies to whole food sources of fat such as animal fats, seafood, nuts, seeds, avocados, etc…, it does not apply to refined vegetable oils, margarine, the fat in Oreos or deep-fried Doritos!
Please mention the Sentinella when replying to ads!
Does fat make you fat? One of the major reasons that people are confused by the concept of fat making them fat is that dietary fat and body fat share the same word, fat. Although that may sound silly, the shared name seems to paint a visual of the fat we eat in our food getting shuttled directly to our love handles, but it doesn’t work like that. The same way the nails on your hands are not the same as the nails in your walls, and the same way eating squash doesn’t make you better at playing squash, the fat you eat does not directly affect the fat present on your body.
21
Fat doesn’t get you fat.... so is it the calories?
Fat is often referred to as an “empty source of calories” because it is high in calories. This is wrong, not only because its caloric density is a good thing, but because its caloric density brings a lot of nutrients along with it. In fact, gram per gram natural sources of fat provide more vitamins,

some medical professionals at the time. A 1969 scientific paper identified MSG as “the cause of the Chinese restaurant syndrome,” and warned that it caused “burning sensations, facial pressure, and chest pain.”
This fermented MSG is now used to flavor lots of different foods like stews or chicken stock. It’s so widely used because it taps into our fifth basic taste: umami (pronounced oomaa-mee). Umami is less well known than the other tastes like saltiness or sweetness, but it’s everywhere -- it’s the complex, savory taste you find in mushrooms or Parmesan Thecheese.idea
For years, Chinese restaurants in the US often had signs inside that announced “No MSG used,” in an attempt to distance themselves from the stigma. If you buy any amount of crypto and you want to store it yourself, you have to choose between holding your cryptocurrency in a “hot” wallet, a “cold” wallet, or using a combination of the two. A hot wallet is connected to the internet and could be vulnerable to online attacks — which could lead to stolen funds — but it’s faster and makes it easier to trade or spend crypto. A cold wallet is typically not connected to the internet, so while it may be more secure, it’s less convenient. Should you use hot wallets, cold wallets, or a combination?
Generally, cold storage wallets are quite secure. Stealing from a cold wallet usually would require physical possession of or access to the cold wallet, as well as any associated PINs or passwords that must be used to access the funds. Most hardware wallets are cold wallets and live on devices that look like a small to medium-sized USB stick. Paper wallets, physical bitcoins, or a
secondary offline computer used to store cryptocurrency are also cold storage wallet options. However, while still fairly secure, these methods have fallen out of favor and been replaced by reputable, high-quality hardware wallets or very secure cold-storage options available on reputable exchanges.
Hardware wallets are designed to be immune to hacking. Even when a hardware wallet is plugged into your computer or connected via Bluetooth, depending on the storage method, the funds stored on the drive are difficult or

even impossible to steal. While technically connected to the internet, the signing of transactions is done “in-device,” and only subsequently broadcast to the network via your computer’s internet connection. This “signature” allows you to assign ownership to the recipient of a cryptocurrency transaction. Because your private keys never leave the device, however, even if devious malware on your computer tried to steal your funds by maliciously “signing” a transaction initiated in your hardware wallet it would not be the correct signature so the transaction would not go through. Given the trade-offs when using either type of crypto wallet, a combination of cold and hot wallets is usually ideal. You want to strike a balance between the accessibility of a hot wallet, and the peace of mind and security of a cold wallet. Many will end up with several versions of each: an exchange account hot wallet, a

mobile hot wallet, and a hardware cold wallet. Each crypto wallet can be used for a specific purpose, thus creating a balance between ease of use and security when using and trading cryptocurrency. Another popular trend is using a second phone that functions only as a mobile crypto cold wallet. When using a cell phone as a cold wallet, you would only turn it on when you want to make a transaction. The secondary phone acting as a cold wallet is then connected to your primary phone via bluetooth or WiFi and funds are transferred to your hot wallet for the transaction. After the transaction is made, the WiFi or bluetooth connectivity is turned off and the secondary phone is powered down. Many find this more convenient than a hardware wallet, while also offering the peace of mind that comes with knowing your cryptocurrency is safe and secure.
times opening roads towards the rest of the country through its valleys, resulting in small settlements in the foothills of the mountains. The connections between all those villages and cities helped to shape a vast secondary road network that is now well-maintained and in good condition. For example, the good state of repair of most of roads help to have a comfortable and safe descent except for some turns where there might be some dirt for the proximity of the country.
The city, the surroudings and the wilderness, Málaga has it all!
There are 3 main different types of roads for -cyclists:TheNational roads, as the N-340 that connects Málaga with Nerja and Granada province. These are the old main roads that these days have been replaced by highways
i want to ride my bicycle
- The rural roads, as the MA-3111 that connects Málaga with the village of Olías as you can see in our “La Reina” route. These roads are perfect for cyclist as they connect small villages found on the valleys and mountains of the province and usually have no traffic. These villages are so small that sometimes you may find yourself riding alone for more than half an hour.
The geography of Malaga province is rough in almost all its extension and is irrigated by numerous rivers and streams. The importance of the port of Malaga and the city’s own location in the most central part of

but still fulfill its original function, there can be significant traffic when crossing cities and no traffic at all when riding in between cities. -The State roads, as the A-7000 that heads from the city to the Montes de Málaga. These are the second main roads that connect major parts of the state (Andalusia) where the National or the Highways don’t reach. There is not much traffic on these roads but cars might drive fast sometimes.
You won’t need to ride 200 km to include within the same stage a variety of climbs, descents and flat sections, you could fit them all in 30, 60 or 90 km and still feel like the stage of your life. The variety of mountains is so big we could choose to enjoy defying climbs with a 14%-18% average gradient in relatively short distances while there are
others to be found below the 12% gradient but to a much longer distance. This means that the combinations available to create a cycling holiday are unlimited, allowing us for example to cross anytime from a steep climb on a natural park to an impressive descent overlooking the city and cool down on a road by the beach while seeing a beautiful sunset. Málaga and the Costa del Sol are synonymous of good weather. According to the State Meteorology Agency (AEMET), the city enjoys about 2905 hours of sunlight a year. The main reason lies on its latitude, the northern half of Spain is in a temperate zone while the southern half of Spain where Malaga lies is part of the sub-tropical zone. It tops at an unmatched number in the whole Spanish territory, with almost 3000 hours and 320 days of annual sunshine.
Whether you’re after a gentle seaside excursion alongside some of Spain’s most beautiful beaches or an adrenaline-fuelled trip up into Malaga’s mountains, there are routes to suit every kind of cyclist. Here are the spots you need to know about if you’re heading out on two wheels in southern EASTSpain.
The weather is mediterranean, sunny and dry. Winter is generally temperate, with mild temperatures which don’t fall below 5 degrees, it never gets to freeze. Summers are moderate thanks to the sea proximity and stifling heats are very unlikely. The great number of sunshine hours combined with the winter mild temperature result in a privileged spring contributes to make Málaga an ideal destination for a cycling holidays.
A longer ride of about 60km (including the return trip) takes you out to the former fishing village of Torremolinos –now one of the busiest tourist destinations on the Costa del Sol – and the beautiful whitewashed little towns of Benalmedena and NORTHFuengirola.-Malaga
province is famous for its coastline, but it’s also worth exploring inland. Some of the region’s most dramatic mountain biking is to be enjoyed in and around the El Torcal Natural Park, close to the enchanting town of Antequera. El Torcal´s Jurassic-era limestone is around 150 million years old and its karst landscape makes for one of the most unusual and fascinating sights in all of Spain. With many other stunning inland routes north of Malaga, there is no end to the landscapes viwes and scenery. Ride responsibly and be prepared for any eventuality.
- Malaga is a superb starting point. Heading east out of the centre takes you past the city’s historic bullring and along the Paseo de Sancha, flanking Malaga’s most popular beach, the Playa Malagueta, then onto some of the most beautiful coastlines in WESTeurope.-
Another score killer – 3 putts
Remember – it is almost impossible to distribute your weight evenly across both feet. Make your weight distribution 60/40 right to left (assuming you are right Nohanded!).4.Make sure you get the ball back in Ifplay.you
Often golfers miss the green with their approach shot leaving some tricky chips. Maybe you end up 30 feet short of the hole, you now have a long putt to save par. Keep your expectations in check, and be happy with a lag putt that leaves you within 10 feet.
No 3. Hit the ball solid.
Written by Squadron Leader Shackleton
Double bogies can leave you frustrated and very annoyed, no matter what your handicap or playing ability is. We leave the green frustrated and often it wasn’t because we hit a poor shot or made a bad swing, but many times it started with a poor decision or overall indecision leading to a bad result.
The more frequently you can hit the ball solid, the less likely of having the devastating shot that falls short into a water hazard or simply waste a shot on a longer par 4 or a par 5. The best golfers control the low point of the swing.
When get the chance to practice work on 2 lengths: 30-40 feet putts and 3-10 feet putts.
No. 1 Keep the ball in play Sounds a little obvious, but if your ball is not on the course you are not going to score well on that particular hole. On the tee take a bit more time looking for the optimum point that you want your tee shot to end up. A tee box is just that, there are no rules as to where you can tee your ball other than within 2 club lengths from the front and between the markers. Don’t just go for the middle of the tee, think about the shape of your normal drive and use your position on the box to your advantage. If your normal shape is a fade left to right then don’t tee up on the left if there is a row of trees along the left of the fairway or other hazards along your ball flight.
No. 2 Avoid 3 putts

are in the woods don’t try the ambitious shot through or over the trees, best to punch it out and take your punishment once. In a fairway bunker? They are put there to punish you for a poorly thought out or executed shot. Just get out, don’t think that you can hit a 5 iron that 150 yard plus shot onto the green.
Avoid the double bogey and watch your scores come down. Here are a few tips that may go some way towards keeping some of those double bogies off your scorecard.
No 5. Aim for the centre of the green. Stop aiming at flags from further than 75 yards out. The golfer aiming for flags is going to hit too many shots on the short side and take par out of play and bring double bogey into play. Aiming for the center of the green and leaving a 20-30 foot putt over time will help you shoot lower scores and eliminate the double bogey. You might be surprised how often the professionals are aiming towards a safe landing area and not going right at the pin placement. Be smart, keep the ball in a quality location, without getting carried away on your pin seeking.
If the ball is struck solid, you can be sure that the approach shot will be somewhere in the vicinity of the green, leaving a chip or pitch shot.
It’s been said before, “Golf is a simple game made difficult by those who play it!”

Signal’s identity is the small patch of colour –the ‘signal’ – which appears on the hinge of each claw. It will be white or pale blue. The lesser known of the two invasive species is the Turkish Crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus) which is also referred to as the Narrow Clawed Crayfish.

Colour variations are wider than the native species, but the underside of the claws are almost always a reddish brown.

It too was “accidentally” introduced into the UK where it quickly established colonies in the south east of England where its main population still exists.
The Signal (Pacifastacus leniusculus) is instantly recognisable as it will appear smooth from head to tail, with very little evidence of spines. Some dotted indentations can be observed on the claws.
