Project: Logo for SKILL4U
Story of the design As you can see, the logo is basically an owl, which is linked to the Goddess Athenea (Goddess of knowledge and skills). In fact, there is a Greek ancient coin with Athenea at the front side and an owl at the back, which was the main inspiration for the logo. Tetradracma athenienses Looking at the logo, we can establish a relationship between the shape of the European map and the owl itself; even the blue color of the logo is inspired on the blue color of the European flag. •
Another idea is the flying of a bird. The owl is a bird (a bird, which has wings in the same way as planes have wings) and the flying of a bird can represent the movement of European students within the European Union (= motilities).

Just to finish, the shape of the logo is a square, which is basic in favicon and the typography is that used by the European Union in all its signs (PT Sans) (the one in our logo is unofficial at the moment, but we can easily get it official).
