“History” themed fam trip with Paris, Île-de-France and Normandy destinations 26 - 30 March 2015

Le salon Rendez-vous en France est un événement organisé par Atout France, l’Agence de développement touristique de la France


Thursday, March 26th – PARIS All day long, arrival of the guests at the airport or at the railway stations. Transfer to the hotel all day. Possibility to visit museums and monuments. Free time until the evening dinner. FROM 7:00 PM •

Champagne-cruise with Dilettantes and Vedettes du Pont Neuf Combine a champagne tasting with a river cruise across Paris.

Dinner at Le Foodist In the heart of the Latin Quarter, a new concept of cultural discovery through food over a hosted gourmet dinner.

Night at Da Vinci hotel**** Open in 2014, this boutique-hotel is set in Saint-Germain des Prés and boasts a Renaissance theme. A private swimming pool is reserved for the guests for their exclusive use.


Friday, March 27th - PROVINS •

Full day in Provins

Authentic witness of medieval history, unique testimony of a merchant town and of the fairs of Champagne of XIIth and XIIIth centuries, Provins, protected as the Unesco World Heritage, presents no less than 58 listed monuments. •

Saturday, March 28th – PARIS MORNING •

Visit of the Sainte Chapelle Completely restored in 2014, the Sainte Chapelle is a masterpiece of Flamboyant Gothic architecture built by Saint Louis in the heart of the Palais de la Cité on the Ile de la Cité. Discover its unique stained glass windows rendering the air iridescent with light and color, symbols of the Heavenly Jerusalem.

Visit of the Conciergerie Oldest remaining part of the Palais de la Cité, the Conciergerie was the first royal palace in the French capital; it was used as a prison during the French Revolution.

Arrival in Rennes, transfer by bus to Mont-Saint-Michel

Night in Mont-Saint-Michel Sunday, March 29th – MONT-SAINT-MICHEL - BAYEUX

MORNING •

Visit of the Mont-Saint-Michel It was the first site in France to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will have a complete knowledge of the recent changes of the new access as part of the venture to restore Mont-Saint-Michel’s maritime character, after a long term project. Today, an elevated new bridge and footbridge provide new access routes and thus, at hightide, the Mont once again is transformed into a magical island.

Lunch featuring “La Mère Poulard” hotels and restaurants Group (3 hotels and 3 restaurants)

AFTERNOON


Visit of the medieval town of Bayeux including the visit of the Bayeux Tapestry Bayeux, with its cobbled streets, many restaurants and museums is also home to the world famous Bayeux Tapestry which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

EVENING •

Dinner and Night in Rouen

Monday, March 30th – ROUEN - PARIS

MORNING •

Visit of the old town of Rouen including the Panorama XXL, a unique new cultural venue in France, as well as the new opening Joan of Arc History Museum Rouen is the historic capital of Normandy, world famous for its medieval architecture. Its Cathedral has been immortalized by the Impressionist artist Claude Monet who painted its façade more than 30 times.

Bus transfer from Rouen to Paris for the Rendez-vous en France workshop
