things to try:

Whether you’re an avid party-goer or seeking some sun on one of the longstretching beaches of The White Isle, Ibiza is the holiday destination to have on your summer bucket-list in 2022. Plus, it’s only a two-hour flight from the UK which is always a bonus. Here are 5 things to try on your trip…

1.

Go paddle boarding at sunset

The water temperature in Ibiza is surprisingly high (a respectable 26 degrees at its highest) making it the perfect location for trying out water sports, including snorkelling and riding jet skis. One of the most popular choices is paddle boarding as the sea is relatively calm, and you can head to almost any part of the coastline to do it, and watch the iconic sunset with a front row seat. Many boat trip excursions include time to try water sports, alongside tucking into food and champagne while on board, so we’d highly recommend if you’re a first timer.

4.

To experience cultural delights away from the main stretch of tourism, Dalt Villa is one of the island’s highest points and is over 2,500 years old, making it the best place to learn about the rich history of Ibiza. Its stoned buildings and narrow cobbled streets are great for meeting locals and exploring quaint shops and family-run restaurants.

Release your inner-zen with clifftop yoga

While Ibiza is known for its party antics, it’s also renowned as an escape from reality and the best place to find some peace with nature. Take a guided meditation or healing treatment at the top of one of the island’s cliffs while marvelling at the crystal waters of the Mediterranean Sea below for a unique experience you certainly won’t get at the gym.

Party on the beach until sunrise

No Ibiza trip would be complete without visiting the world’s most iconic parties at some of the island’s best clubs. For celeb-spotting, Ibiza’s original club, Pacha, is known for hosting the best DJs in an exclusive VIP atmosphere (and the prices sure reflect it!) – or if a beachfront cocktail is more your thing, head on down to Café Mambo in San Antonio to catch the best sunsets while chilling out to the sound of a saxophonist.

Eat like a local

And no, we’re not talking about the classic Lays crisps and sunbed combo. Fans of tapas can enjoy authentic favourites including paella, patatas bravas, and all of the chorizo you can eat. We’d recommend heading to legendary venue Pikes, set in the San Antonio hills for a never-to-forget dinner at Pamelas restaurant packed with locally sourced ingredients. The best table in the house even overlooks the iconic pool from Wham!’s Club Tropicana music video.
