Learn how to best communicate with your puppy and also provide an opportunity for your dog to socialize with other dogs. In classes aimed at earning the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy distinction, you’ll be able to get info on all of your puppy raising questions including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called.

This delicate medium often creates subtle nuances by accident rather than design. Armed with basic drawing skills, one will achieve an understanding of the interaction of pigments, water and paper to create light and color in nature. Learn the basics of salt water and warm water fly tying. Each student will learn to tie a number of standard flies than can be used in and about Florida to catch common fish. The tools, techniques, methods and materials used in fly tying will be explained. Every class member will create two flies during each class session.

Great American Trails, Section 1

Focusing on geography, history, and travel from the Colonial Period to the Louisiana Purchase, emphasis is placed on barriers to exploration and settlement with broad depiction of the major trails followed. Noted is their survival to modern times and accessibility to the hiker or traveler. Included is a look at Florida trails, especially those situated near Gainesville.

How To Divorce Without War

This 1-hour workshop is designed to explain the overall divorce process. Three trained professionals will present the legal, personal, and financial issues of divorce, with a focus on the collaborative divorce process. The goal is to educate and inform the community regarding both traditional options and more amicable options for ending a marriage.

From novice to intermediate level bowlers, this course teaches how to select equipment, the proper techniques in bowling as well as mastering spare shooting for the more proficient player. This is a 4-week course which will start with a 15-minute video followed by a brief discussion and then out to the lanes to work on the lesson of the day.

You may drop a class and receive a full refund by calling the Community Education office DURING THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF THE COMMUNITY EDUCATION TERM for any class 2 weeks or longer in length. For shorter classes, you must drop the class at least 2 business days before the class begins to receive a refund. After that, you must fill out a petition for refund.
