Termination of Assistance to the Family by the SFHA
interpretation; having material explained orally by staff or having a third party representative (a friend, relative or advocate, named by the applicant) to receive, interpret and explain housing materials and be present at all meetings. The PHA WILL terminate a family’s assistance if: A family member has engaged in or threatened violent or abusive behavior toward PHA personnel. 
Abusive or violent behavior towards PHA personnel includes verbal as well as physical abuse or violence. Use of racial epithets, or other language, written or oral, that is customarily used to intimidate may be considered abusive or violent behavior. Threatening refers to oral or written threatens or physical gestures that communicate intent to abuse or commit violence.
