This unique home sits in the Railyard District. The renovation by Coyote Development Group transformed the curious building, shaped like an elongated diamond, into a one-bedroom, open-concept living space. A multipane sliding/stacking door makes up the building’s entire front wall, linking the entry courtyard to the main living space. Coyote sought to keep the cool, contemporary feel that fits the Railyard District. It incorporated this style through the use of clean right angles, metal materials, and oversize doors. The metal roof includes exposed i-beams, continuing the industrial look, but the stucco exterior walls keep with Santa Fe’s aesthetic. Inside, custom millwork from Norma Pedregon provides a distinctive touch. Coyote carefully constructed the home’s library to the owners’ specifications, with a reading banco near large windows that provide extra light.
