A little bit about me There's no place like home... Your home is your haven, that little escape from the rest of the world...And I truly can say that there is no where I would rather be… As I look around I realize just how much my home is reflective of days gone by... I love all things old with their little imperfections, history and character...But, if I look a little deeper I see the real reasons, why these things comfort me. They are reminders of who I am and where I come from…….. Unknowingly, through example, many people have influenced my life...My Dad gifted me with my love of nature, hard work, and appreciation of the little things...My Mom, the love of art, tradition, and a beautiful home on a shoestring...A love of sewing was passed down from Grandma Lacey who took the time to show a little girl the stitches...She made beautiful quilts and rarely did I see her without a needle in her hand, all of that and she raised 12 children. A Love of God passed from my maternal Gram, who had the strongest of faiths, in the hardest of lives and who's prayers held us all up when we needed it the most... And a warm house with delicious smells wafting always as you came through her door, that was Old Gram… As my Mom dragged us from flea market to yard sale, and we whined and groaned...Little did I know it would be my fondest adventures in the future...I now understand... Someone else’s trash is most certainly my treasure...Even if only I can see the vision at first… If I do nothing else in this world, but influence my children to pass down the warmth of "home" to their children then I will have succeeded in my task as a mother...They have been surrounded by antiques and fluff since the day they were born, they have developed a respect for these things, and I have never had to worry about them being destructive anywhere we go...They feel so special sipping tea out of their own antique cups and saucers, that they treasure them...Though they are just as happy playing with a shovel in the garden or climbing a tree... Home is so much more than a word, It is the heart of the family... Thank you for taking the time to shop at Romantic Rose Creations... My one-of-a-kind dolls and designs are made straight from my imagination and heart, they are how I see the world...Everything I offer is handpicked with the warmth of home in mind...Thank you for allowing me to share them with you...
