No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.
I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Updates and Upcoming
Next Sunday, November 20th is going to be great. We are asking everyone in our congregation to do four things. These are BE IN WORSHIP, BE AT THE AL TAR, BE THANKFUL, and BE AT THE FREE LUNCH!
First, BE IN WORSHIP! If everyone is in worship, would it not be great to see our largest worship attendance since Easter? On this special day, we will also hear an inspiring message from Dr. Karl Stegall. We will be challenged and blessed to hear Dr. Stegall.
Second, BE AT THE ALTAR and submit an estimate of giving card to the Lord for 2023. Our goal is to have 230 cards submitted for 2023. If everyone does their part, we can reach this goal!
Third, this is the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving. We are asking everyone to BE THANKFUL. As we approach the season of Thanksgiving. Everyone will have an opportunity to write a Thank You card to the Lord. The thank you note can also be left at the altar as an expression of gratitude to God.
Fourth, we are asking everyone TO BE PRESENT for our free lunch and a time of celebration and fellowship. How wonderful it will be to have our church family sharing a meal together. Help us make this a special day by being pres ent.
In other news, I wanted to make sure you knew Our Church Administrator, Scott Newbold, has recently left our staff for another job opportunity. Here is what Scott wanted to share with us… “It has been my privilege to be your ad ministrator these last 3 1/2 years. What started out as a short term ‘interim’ position became a full-time passion, one in which I gave my heart and soul. Without exaggeration, working with you has been one of the single biggest highlights of my career. This job was my opportunity to give back to the church which had so richly blessed my family! With mixed emotions, it is now time for me to embrace the next stage of my career. A local company with the potential
to help millions around the world has asked me to be their VP and Gener al Manager. Admittedly, starting a new career path at this age is scary. But this is a direction I feel led to pursue.”
I want to thank Scott personally on behalf of our congregation for some outstanding work during the last three and half years. His contributions have been numerous. Among his greatest contributions included tireless and innovative work helping the church journey through a pandemic. His work was indispensable, as we journeyed through uncertain years. Thank you, Scott, for all your many contributions as Church Administrator. We pray for God’s blessings on you and your family in all your new endeavors.
Also, we are pleased Tony Mallini has agreed to step in as interim Church Administrator. Tony has served amazingly as Church Administrator before. His willingness to step in is greatly appreciated. Tony is such a blessing on our staff and in our church. Our SPR will also begin work and a search to fill the position of Church Administrator for the long term.
Our Denominational Task Force will present information gathered over the last two months. The presentation will be at our Church Council Meeting on November 15 at 6PM, in the Sanctuary. This task force report will an swer many of the questions our congregation has been asking about our denominational issues. This task force includes Renata Steiner (spokesper son), Mark Bethea, Dave Biggers, Jim Brantley, Pat Gross, Kyle Wilson, and our four pastors. This Church Council meeting is open to all to attend.
Hope to see you Sunday! Again, save the date and plan on being present on November 20th.
Shalom, Philip
