Wow, what a year to be in the cattle business. With cattle prices at an all time high and inventory still shrinking, the future looks bright. We would like to say thank you to all of our customers for the confidence you have in our program. We greatly appreciate the support and loyalty you have placed in our herd. At Sandhill Red Angus we stay dedicated to producing the best genetics possible. We talk about consistency all the time here at Sandhill Red Angus. We believe that the biggest contribution to our consistency is our females. They must be long bodied, huge middled, and stay functional. For us, being functional means having a perfect udder, good feet, and breeding up on time every year while raising a big calf.

I would like to take this time to thank all of our friends, neighbors, and family that help us. We are very blessed to be surrounded by such a great community, and have the opportunity to serve our customers and the Red Angus breed.
It’s been a great pleasure to tour through and evaluate the program at Froid of Sandhill Red Angus and to right away notice and appreciate the rigors of which the herd must adhere to for their survival. For the betterment of breeding and genetics, having a seed-stock outfit put the cattle through the paces year round can only garner any ranchers respect. Having mother nature apply pressure undoubtedly will reveal who is earning their keep and who isn’t. With keeping their foot to the floor and no reason to let up on the cows, yet continue to jump the hurdles, we will find out who has what it takes to reach the finish line. Breeding cattle isn’t a difficult task for a cow. Producing a live calf, weaning a good healthy calf, and re-breeding in a limited time will let the wheat sort itself from the chaff. It is clearly evident that this is the case for Andrew and McKenzie! By incorporating the genetics which are clearing their hurdles, you will notice a number of calves sired by their own home raised calves. Simply plugging in the good cows as many times as you can is certainly a recipe for genetic progress and breed betterment, ultimately landing on the real goal of being profitable! Feel welcome to direct any questions you may have our way, we look forward to hearing from you!

Picking Magnum to lead off our 2025 sale was as easy as it has ever been. 4101 has had that herd bull look all summer. His sexual correctness, athleticism, and square wide base make Magnum a true must use sire. Magnum stands down on a near perfect set of feet and legs, and is as close to perfect lined as we can make one. His mating options are endless, having a pedigree that makes him an out-cross to most of the breed. Magnum’s pedigree is packed with high power females that have stood the test of time. I’m not sure that we have ever used or raised a bull that has so many top quality females in their lineage.
Sandhill Red Angus will be retaining 50% semen interest and 50% walking rights . Terms can be discussed and are negotiable.
A true herd bull in the making. The true front pasture kind, 4089 is bold, long, thick, and very athletic. Royal’s dam H96 is the best uddered female we have ever raised.
Wow what a true performance bull. If you are wanting to add frame, base width, and muscle into your cow herd then 4985 is your bull. It has been a long time since we have raised a bull like 4985, it’s almost like he is a man among boys in the bull pen. A true powerhouse, he has a huge hip and is as deep and soggy as you can make one. 4985 also has one of the best dispositions in the sale.
Medallion is by far the best Slowburn calf we have raised. Like all the Slowburn calves he stands down on a perfect set of feet and legs. This is one of the most powerful and complete bulls in the sale. His dam is a beautiful cow that we have considered flushing more than once. Bold is the best way to describe Medallion. He is bold in his presences, bold ribbed, and is the true herd bull kind.
King is a heifer bull that will add frame and length of body. 4201 is a true curve bender, with a moderate birth weight and true performance it will be hard to miss this guy on sale day. One of the true sale features, King is the type of heifer bull you can use on heifers for a year or two and move up to cows after that.

Vanessa E96 is a cow we chose to flush a couple of years ago. For a cow to get flushed at Sandhill Red Angus really means something. E96 earned her position. For the commercial cattleman looking for easy-keeping, heavy muscled, yet moderate cattle, she is the answer. E96 has many sons in this sale out of top bulls in the industry.
Princess E16 went to Larsen Vet with E96 to get flushed as well. We flushed E16 for her exceptional udder and added performance. She has a little more frame and her sons will add pounds to any calf crop.
