First off, thank you to everyone that supported our first sale last year! Whether you bid, purchased, or just attended you are all important to us. What a tremendous amount of support from so many of our old customers and so many new ones as well! We appreciate your interest in our program. Also a big thank you to our auctioneer, our ring men, Castlerock Marketing and our friends for a job well done.
We have 200 home raised purebred cows, therefor there are many large cow families which produce a very uniform set of bulls. We consider our herd to be very maternal and the daughters of these bulls should make awesome replacements. There is also plenty of performance to push the scales down on the steer calves. Jensen Red Angus is also home to 120 commercial red angus cows so we understand how important it is to sell calves by the pound. We have been foot critics for over 30 years and the proof is in the cow herd and the bull pen. These cattle and bulls have all been handled on foot, on horseback, by dogs and on quads, which is an important versatility here at the ranch.
Our cows are moderate in size 1300-1400lbs and seem to thrive well in these short grass river hills. We always say the cattle here survive on sagebrush and scenery, but at least this year it was green!

We liked 23H's sire so much and didn’t think we could get enough of these genetics in our herd with just one bull, so decided to use 23H and get more females and larger cow families. His mother is a great cow that never seems to miss. We have several daughters of hers in our herd! The proof is in the females, she is also a daughter of BJT 367A who is the mother of BJT Distinguished 1H who resides at Solderglen ranches!

We bought the pick of the DKF Red Angus bull pen at Red Roundup back in 2018 and this was our pick! We loved the stoutness and deep cherry red colour of this bull as well as his awesome hair coat! His biggest attribute was a tremendous black foot with a ton of heel. He has passed all these traits on to his progeny. We have many daughters who are now calving. They have beautiful udders with lots of milk and have that real broody cow look to them!
DKF DISTINGUISHED 16D
We admired this bull at Agribition and purchased him as a 2 year old at Red Roundup. Scott and Tina have done a great job on their cow herd in tough country. We felt this bull would easily adapt to our country and he did just that! We have crossed these daughters with 20F and 23H and they have complimented each other very well. The 16D daughters are great footed with a beautiful feminine look that makes for some very attractive cows!

This is our high selling bull we sold to Solderglen Ranches in 2021 and kept a semen interest in him to utilize through AI! His mother has many daughters and grand daughters in our herd and at 10 years old is still going strong and looks terrific! Although the AI only produced one bull last year and the rest all heifers, we feel his son BJT 19H deserves a very close look. 1H is producing calves with lots of performance and a nice moderate birth weight!

We bought this bull for our heifer program. He was the $30,000 dollar high selling bull in Moose Creek’s 2021 bull sale! Moose Creek has bought an interest back in him and used him last summer after we were done breeding! Low birth and tremendous growth is Darren’s motto! We are calving our first set of daughters out of him and I can tell you we need more of them! Dark cherry red with great black feet another of 61H's strongest traits.

We could not be more excited to own this bull in conjunction with Diamond T cattle co! Ely was one of the most sought after bulls in Allison farms 2022 bull sale and possibly one of our best purchases to date. With our 2nd calf crop now on the ground its amazing to see the style and consistency he is putting into his calves! We feel this bull is one that is going to move our program forward in more ways than one! His daughters are popular among visitors and ones that we cannot wait to get into production! His sons are at the top of their class and boast many of their fathers traits! Elysiums herd bull presence and rib shape, coupled with length of spine and skull shape make him a big time game changer! His sire Black Wheel Dracarys 86G has an incredible production record with his daughters averaging $19,000 at some of the most elite female sales in Canada! We unfortunately lost this bull the fall of 2022 and his progeny will be very limited.

5K is a bull that we are very fond of. He is a unique breeding piece that encompasses moderate birthweight and great growth and performance! His dam 404B is a standout type of cow moderate; in size with a beautiful udder and tremendous foot structure. She may be the most fertile cow on the place and always calves within the first 10 cows every year! We aquired semen on his sire (MONARCH) after seeing him at 6 years old and sound as a dollar working at Solderglen Ranches! We felt implementing that type of fertility and longevity back into our herd was something we couldn’t pass up! When our good friends at McKenzie Ranch saw 5K in the bull pen that spring they jumped on the opportunity to buy a half interest in him! He has seen heavy use over the past 2 seasons between the two of us and handled it with ease! A great sire option if your looking for low input type cattle that pay there own way!

Red Jensen Elysium 62M is the type we strive to make! Although it’s no easy feat, the stars seemed to align on this one! When we bred Elysium to 801F, one of the most phenotypically correct females on the place this is exactly what we dreamed would happen! His strong smooth design ties in exceptionally well with his tremendous bone and massive rib shape! He boasts the typical beautiful head shape the Ely progeny have and carried tremendous testicle development. This bull is no fluke, his pedigree is stacked. A paternal brother was one of the top sellers in Canada last year at Allison Farms annual bull sale for $115,000 and his Dam has placed our high sellers in 2023 and 2024 in the hands of some top pure bred outfits in the country: Janzen Ranches and Heart Valley Angus. After many requests from customers, we added a two year old program to our operation in 2024. It was so well received that we are excited to bring you another exceptional offering this year! Each year we have selected a cut off birth date to be kept back for the two year old program. As yearlings, these bulls are wintered separately where they are fed a modest silage based ration then grazed on rugged summer pasture with nothing more than a mineral tub and grass. With the additional size and power of these two year old bulls, we also make it a priority to ensure they are both horse and dog broke. We would like to make a special note that any yearlings culled from the yearling sale pen are not held for two year olds. These bulls are specifically selected by age, no exceptions.
