SALE DAY PHONES

Welcome to our 4th annual JW Cattle Corp. Bull and Commercial bred heifer sale! We would like to give a big thanks to all our past, present and repeat customers for believing in our program. We are so grateful for the support you have shown throughout the last 29 years. There truly hasn’t been a better time to be in the cow/calf business. Cattle prices are at record highs and don’t seem to be going down anytime soon!

In 2011 we changed our program to April/May calving and selling bulls at 19-20 months. This allows us to raise the bulls with longevity in mind. These bulls have gone through many rigorous culls before the sale for traits such as phenotype, foot quality, scrotal development, and the quality of their dam to name a few. These are traits that we feel are crucial when selecting our own herdsires. We have always tried to be strict with our culling process on both our heifers and bulls. We cull around 70% of the calf crop with customer satisfaction in mind as well as leaving us with what we feel is a very consistent group that we are proud to offer. If you can come evaluate the bulls and heifers in person, we highly encourage you to do so. We would also love to show you the cows and any siblings so you can make the most educated decision to benefit your operation. If you are unable to come view the offering, feel free to call or text us and we would love to assist you by giving our honest opinion as if we were buying them for ourselves. We also invite everyone to our open house on Tuesday February 18th at the farm for supper and refreshments. If you are unable to bid online or don’t feel comfortable doing so, feel free to call myself, Mark from OBI or Shane from Castlerock Marketing to assist you. We hope to see you all on February 18th at the farm for supper and refreshments! Sincerely, Wayne, Jane, Logan & Keaton

All cattle sell under the standard terms and conditions set forth by the Canadian Angus Association.

Right To Collect Semen. JW Cattle Corp. retains the right to collect semen on any bull in our offering for in-herd use only. Will be done at our expense and the new owner’s convenience.

Bulls are left entirely at the risk of the purchaser after they are sold. Scrotal Measurements will be available 2 weeks prior to the sale. Insurance Agent: Canadian Farm Insurance - Jill Wildman (780)305-1146

JW Cattle Corp. guarantees to sell you a bull that is structurally sound and has passed a semen test conducted by a licensed veterinarian. Should any bull fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he will be replaced with a bull of equal value. Should this not be possible, an adjustment will be made to reflect the bull in question as a credit towards the purchase of another bull. We do not warranty against mismanagement or injury/ illness after the sale and recommend insurance for this purpose. 4L is the type of bull we strive to produce. Correct made, heifer bull built for longevity with outstanding performance. While Carrying added frame size, he maintains natural depth and thickness throughout. Extreme calving ease herd bull with remarkable presence and growth all while standing on great feet. We retained his maternal brother (49G) for our commercial herd and liked how he bred and matured so much that we are now utilizing him on our purebred side of things, as a six-year-old he still stands on an awesome foot. Their dam (13D) is probably the best black cow on the place, easy fleshing, awesome foot and beautifully uddered, she will be getting flushed soon and entering our donor program. 22L should sire ideal daughters that are deep bodied and easy fleshing while excelling in udder qualities and feet

25L strikes you with a proud up-headed look. Add his muscle, thickness and crest makes for a pretty unique individual. He stands square on a big foot. True sale feature showing a lot of the same qualities as his sire. His Sire (Mr Wilson 1046J) progeny are early maturing standouts and we have been really impressed with how consistent they have developed from top to bottom. The most exciting part might just be his dam (DMM Blackbird 105A), one of the greatest Canadian cows as well a Supreme Champion female, which makes us excited about his future impact in our herd.
