Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta was celebrated the Festive Seasons merriment with with a 555-metre Christmas Fruitcake on 3 December 2015. Funds raised from the Fruit Cake sales was donated to Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) / Indonesian Care for Cancer Kids Foundation. Shangri-La Jakarta was granted the National Green Hotel Award 2011 from the Indonesia Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry on 19 December 2011 at Balairung

Soesilo Soedarman, Gedung Sapta Pesona Jakarta. The award is given to hotels that have shown great concern to green tourism and sustainable development to motivate hotel management to be more active in protecting and developing the environment.

The finalists were selected from 290 four and five star hotels. From 76 hotels that returned the self-assessment questionnaire, 24 hotels meeting the requirements and standards were chosen to receive the award.

Certification of Commendation (By the US Embassy)

Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta was granted the Certification of Commendation for Outstanding Security Support.
