To cultivate the affordable & vibrant neighborhood that the North Bayshore Precise
Plan envisions, the Mountain View City Council needs our support for moving
forward with its established goal of creating 9,850 new homes in North Bayshore.
The vision for North Bayshore is bigger than any one parcel. A Master Plan Process will help ensure that future development projects will meet and exceed the intent of the North Bayshore Precise Plan and best serve all residents, workers, and community members. Benefits of a Master Plan Process
Provides a necessary balance of Office and Residential growth. Enables redevelopment to adapt to unknown future needs and react to the market. Provides city officials and developers predictable results and certainty. Delivers projects that support public areas. Promotes better placemaking by focusing on the creation of beautiful, usable, and cultural spaces for residents and visitors. Facilitates mixed-use synergies such as shared district parking and potential district energy systems. Allows for a variety of residential unit sizes, styles, and affordability levels. Ensures a holistic network of passive and active Open Spaces for residents and visitors. Promotes walking, biking, the improvement and use of public transit, and enables additional future carsharing.
