MARKET TRENDS:

My 2022 market perspective

was honored to be quoted in the January edition of Chicago Agent magazine, one of Chicagoland’s leading sources of local news and information for the well-informed residential real estate professional. I was happy to provide my opinion on 2022 market trends and my perspective on how to deal with limited inventory. Here is an excerpt from the full story: “Across the board, in the northwest suburban market, there is one month of inventory,” Burhop said. She blames it on long-term homeowners remaining in their properties. “They want to move, but they’re struggling with, ‘where do I go?’ Twenty-five percent of my sellers last year

OUR COMMUNITIES:

SPUNKY DUNKERS

bout a year ago, Baird & Warner partnered with a company called LoLo (Locals supporting Locals) to offer their agents a unique way to both stay in touch with clients and give back to their communities. LoLo’s mission is to keep the “Local Vibe Alive” in cities across the country by collaborating with independentlyowned businesses, allowing agents the opportunity to send gifts directly from local sources. As an agent, I can subscribe to the service and pay for clients and friends to be on my LoLo list where they periodically receive an electronic certificate for their gift. LoLo takes money from the subscriptions and gives back to the local business the full value of every certificate redeemed. It’s the perfect way for me to support our communities while sharing gratitude with you! Recent examples include a dozen fresh donuts from Spunky Dunkers, gourmet chocolates from Morkes, and a signature quiche from Coco & Blu. If you’d like to be added to my LoLo list, text or email me your name, phone number, and email address and you’ll be enjoying some local goodies soon! #shaunnasupportssmallbusiness n

Some of the delicious gifts my clients have enjoyed through the LoLo program, all sourced from local businesses who get the full value of each redeemed gift, at no charge to my clients. It’s a win-win!

GIVING BACK:

I’m so happy with the results from the first year of my Gifts + Gratitude program! Recipients were surprised and appreciative of the recognition. For 2022 I’m going to put the spotlight on past clients and my referral sources. I’ll put all of their names in a drawing each month and pull out a winner. Then, I’ll let the winner pick someone they are grateful for to receive their own Gratitude gift! It’s the gift that truly keeps on giving! n

If you’ve been longing for the tropics but not ready to travel yet, check out Hala Kahiki Tiki Bar. Opened in 1964 by Rose and Stanley Sacharski, it’s been a Chicagoland favorite for generations. “Hala Kahiki” means pineapple in Hawaiian and the cocktails are true to the name: my daughter Ally’s favorite is the HK Painkiller, available in a pineapple for an over-the-top (and delicious!) experience. 2834 N River Rd, River Grove / chicagotikibar.com n SHAUNNA BURHOP is one of the top agents in the Chicago Northwest Suburbs, and she has consistently been recognized as one of the Top 10 Real Estate Agents in Illinois and also the Top Producing Agent at Baird & Warner NW Suburban.
