DESIGN TRENDS: Dark & Dreamy Bathrooms

T

he top bathroom trend for 2021 are dark fixtures, according to House and Home magazine: “Dark fixtures really pop when contrasted by a snowy expanse of marble, as seen by these classic wallmounted cross taps in this bathroom (top right). The sharp matte fixtures act as punctuation points and accent the shower frame and windows.”

Another top trend is integrated lighting—popular for its practical and stylistic value. In a bathroom, lighting is critical from both a design and a practical perspective. By placing lights around the mirror (or finding one where lighting is completely built-in) you’ll get a flatter reflection to make your tasks easier.
