Upcoming Events
June 8th we will kick off our annual Intern and Co-op program. We are expecting more than 150 interns to spend the summer with us in Sheboygan County this year and we want to make sure they fall in love with Sheboygan County before they return to school in the fall. We have several activities, social outings, and community service projects planned to get our Interns and Co-op’s involved in Sheboygan County, to learn about our quality of life, build long-term friendships, and to create an excitement of coming back to Sheboygan County permanently upon graduation.
If you are interested in learning more about how to get your summer Interns and Co-op’s involved in this program, Click Here. We also have opportunities to partner with Chamber members to provide experiences to our Interns and Co-op’s during June and July, if you are interested in being a part of the program please email Kierra at kierra@sheboygan.org
Later this summer we will be launching the Junior Leadership Sheboygan County program. Like our current leadership program, this new program will bring together 11th and 12th grade students from throughout Sheboygan County high schools. This opportunity will give our current high schoolers opportunities to learn from leadership experts and mentors, while also being introduced to Sheboygan County through immersive experiences. If you are interested in learning more about this program, please contact me directly at deidre@sheboygan.org.
Lastly, we are finalizing details for our Chamber Travel, November 3-14, 2023 as we explore The Flavors of India. To learn more about this opportunity please Click Here or contact Deidre directly at deidre@sheboygan.org.
We want you to Think BIG (betterment, improvement growth), Influence Local! The Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing expertise for fostering dynamic organizations throughout Sheboygan County. We are truly Better Together!

Hello May! M- Make this month count, A- Accomplish your goals, Y- You can do this!! - Anonymous
Hello Everyone! This month makes me feel like anything is possible. Maybe it’s the sunshine getting to me, but I love it!
May is finally here which means we can officially celebrate Young Professional’s Month! YP Month is filled with opportunities to participate in. Kick starting May is Best Under 40 taking place on May 4th from 5:30pm-8pm. We will celebrate with a room full of the nominated and talented young professionals. The rest of May is filled with professional development, networking, and volunteer programs. All of these programs and events can be found on our social media and website. Give us a follow to stay up to date. As May ends, we will end YP Month with a new event, the YP Mini Conference on May 24th from 3-7pm at Hops Haven! This is the perfect event for professional and personal development and networking. We’ve invited YP groups from all around the state of Wisconsin to join us.
Out to Dinner with YP’s is a new, reoccurring program we started in March. It’s becoming very popular. May 10 will be our third dinner in the series and is held at Parker John’s. You do not want to miss this opportunity to be social and make new friends in Sheboygan County. This is great for people that are new to the area or don’t know many people to get dinner with. It is always the second Wednesday of every month. We also have been working with Kohler to create complimentary wellness events each month. This month is Pickleball at Sports Core on May 2nd from 7:30-9am. Start your morning with a good workout and a little competition. We will receive a tour of the facility, lesson, and game! They will provide everything needed. Bring yourself and comfortable workout clothes!
If you’ve been on the boarder about attending a YP event or are unsure what our group is about, this is the perfect month to check it out and get involved. We are welcoming of everyone and encourage you to come join us. Please feel free to drop in any YP events no matter the age. We like to say that if you are young at heart, you are a YP!
If you have any questions at all, please reach out to me at kierra@sheboygan.org and I’ll be happy to help!
As always, Stay Connected Sheboygan!

Welcome to May...the weather will get better, the weather will get better, just keep saying those words!
If you know a business owner who has not yet become a Chamber member, please let me know so we can connect. I’d love to touch base and share all the wonderful opportunities we have to offer with others in our community. My email address is scott@sheboygan.org and they can reach me directly at (920) 395-8705 and thank YOU in advance!
A couple important dates to get on the calendar: Our Annual Golf Outing is at Quit Qui Oc this year and will be held in beautiful Elkhart Lake on August 30th with a shotgun start at 10am. Also, I’ll be seeking out volunteers to run some fun experiments for STEAMfest, which will be held at UWGB, Sheboygan Campus on October 12th. Please don’t hesitate to email or call me regarding either date.
Don’t forget, Member News is part of your membership and at no additional cost you may post every day, every week, etc., whatever makes sense for your business and staff. Please reach out to me if you’ve never posted before and we can walk through this process, or you can send me what you’d like to post. It’s quick, easy and it’s a great way to let everyone in Sheboygan County know who you are, what your business does or if you’ve got an event coming up!
Some other things to think about as we move through 2023:
• Deep Dive opportunities are a great way to meet new Chamber members and their respective businesses and gain referrals in the process. Every member is from a different business sector, so no two members are alike in any one group! Who do you want to do business with? People you know and trust of course. Join a Deep Dive today! Check out a short video at www.sheboygan.org to learn more about Deep Dives.
• Roundtables are a terrific way to meet others within your business sector. Whether it’s Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Not for Profit, and others, you’re sure to learn something from your peers. These peer-to-peer networking groups can help anyone of your employees, or yourself, accelerate your learning curve, and minimize potential setbacks within your organization. Our own John Rogers does an outstanding job keeping each group on task, and always shares his own wealth of knowledge. Contact john @sheboygan.org and join a Roundtable today!

• Our Young Professionals network goal is to attract, engage and retain young, diverse talent to Sheboygan County by providing opportunities for young professionals to design their social culture, serve as civic innovators and community stewards, and develop into the next generation of leaders for Sheboygan County. If you are interested in joining the YP network, please contact Kierra Brooks at kierra@sheboygan.org.
We’ve had a number of ribbon cuttings, a couple vibe@5’s already this year, and we’re only getting started! We look to celebrate YOU and YOUR contributions many more times this year, so buckle up and get ready for another terrific year with YOUR Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce!

Welcome to Spring, a wonderful time of year for Wisconsin. The start of our outdoor season which includes everything from gardening, to sitting lakeside enjoying dinner, and of course outdoor sporting activities. Everything seems possible in May!
To recap April, we had a fantastic event, Celebrate 2023: Phenomenally You – UWGB Institute for Women’s Leadership at the Chamber on the 20th of April. We collaborated with the Institute for Women’s Leadership and PWC-Sheboygan Chapter to host a virtual viewing party of their event Celebrate 2023-Phenomenally You which was held at the Weidner Center in Green Bay. We had an amazing time with a fantastic group of women. Look for more joint efforts between the 3 groups in the year to come. You don’t want to miss out on the fun.
May will bring a busy month for the YP group of the Sheboygan Chamber. Check the calendar for upcoming events throughout the month of May.
Our May Vibe@5 will be hosted by Bitter Neumann on May 17th from 5-7pm. Don’t forget to register. Vibe@5s’ are the best place to meet new people, network, and explore other businesses in your community. Register Here.
If you would be interested in hosting a Vibe@5 for 2024, reach out! I would love to set that up for you.
Until we see each other at the next event…. Cheers!
Christy
