From the Desk of the Executive Director “Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.” - Dwayne Johnson On Thursday, January 20th we had the pleasure of welcoming many of our partners from throughout Sheboygan County to give an Deidre Martinez update on their respective communities and to share out details from our most recent Economic Outlook survey and the Annual Economic Outlook Breakfast. Our survey results showed many pieces of information we are already familiar with, but it also told a story of success and in many cases our Sheboygan County businesses are experiencing similar or higher levels of success than when the pandemic began almost two years ago. I was pleased to share in the optimism of our County, but also the success of our County as a whole. We have continued to rally together, support one another and stay the course. Because of that, we are moving in the right direction. If you were not able to join us for the event, please watch the video HERE.

Molly, Coastal YPN Liaison Happy February! Hard to believe that we are in February already! We hope that the start of your year has been great, and you all are looking forward to a busy and wonderful 2022. Here in the Coastal nation, we are still going through strategic planning. With that being said, you will notice that our programming will be continuing as normal in the month of February and further through the year. Our committee is meeting and coming up with new and great ideas to bring some spice into 2022 and also engage more with our member companies. If your organization would like to partner with our Coastal Young Professionals Molly Talaska on an event, please reach out to me at molly@sheboygan.org so we can work together to plan an event in your space. We are hoping to get out into our community further this year and we are open for many collaboration ideas. We are also looking to expand our Coastal Committee, if you or someone you know would be interested in helping plan and coordinate events, please reach out! We are an open group looking to expand and bring in new people to help build a lasting network for Young Professionals to succeed for years to come. ~Stay Wavy~

NEWS FROM THE DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT Happy February Chamber Nation! How we made it through December and January without a major snowstorm is awesome, and I’ll take it. (Now I hope I didn’t jinx us!) We had a very successful Explore Your Future back in January. With just under 1300 7th and 8th graders visiting Lakeshore Technical College over two days, our sponsors, volunteers and LTC staff did a wonderful job engaging with all our students. Starting off with welcome videos from Acuity Insurance and Masters Gallery, we then moved into discussing how each student’s personality plays a major role as they begin their pursuit of ultimate career goals.

We have two more educational initiatives on the docket for 2022; STEMfest for our 4th and 5th graders, and Financial Literacy for our 11th and 12th graders, so stay tuned. Details, timing, and location to follow soon! If you haven’t signed up for the Chamber Champions Gala at The Osthoff Resort in beautiful Elkhart Lake on February 10 yet, please do so immediately. We need to get a final attendance count over to them ASAP. It’s our largest event of the year, celebrating our Chamber members and all they do for our wonderful community so don’t miss out, register today! Some things to think about as we move into February: • Deep Dive opportunities are a great way to meet new Chamber members and their respective businesses and gain referrals in the process. Every member is from a different business sector, so no two members are alike in any one group! Who do you want to do business with? People you know and trust of course. Join a Deep Dive today! Check out a short video at www.sheboygan.org to learn more about Deep Dives. • Roundtables are a terrific way to meet others within your business sector. Whether it’s Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Not for Profit, and others, you’re sure to learn something from your peers. These peer-to-peer networking groups can help any one of your employees, or yourself, accelerate your learning curve, and minimize potential setbacks within your organization. Our own John Rogers does an outstanding job keeping each group on task, and always shares his own wealth of knowledge. Contact john@sheboygan.org and join a Roundtable today! • Check out the chamber calendar at www.sheboygan.org and make sure you mark 2022 for all new events coming up this year, it is sure to be an exciting and rewarding new year! Have a terrific month, and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, or just want to meet for a cup of coffee and chat. Everyone have a wonderful February and see you all soon! #KeepItRealSheboyganCounty!
