Volume 5 | Issue 9 | January 2025

2025 Dear 2024, You’ve been a whirlwind of growth, challenges, and self-discovery. I started this year with goals in my heart and determination in my stride, and though the journey wasn’t always smooth, I’ve learned to embrace the process. This year, I’ve worked hard to better myself—physically, mentally, and emotionally. From pushing my limits in the gym to finding peace in small victories, I’ve realized how resilient I can be.

Recap of Events Melissa Pham:

My experience volunteering at the Safetyville was pretty good for the majority I was there! It didn’t went well at first in the beginning but the people in charge of the event eventually helped me and a couple people run the booths. We switched booths with other people and it was mostly chill. I enjoyed volunteering at the Trick or Treat Safetyville because the adults at the event were super kind to all the volunteers that helped with running the booths and let us have a lunch break when we needed it. It was also a cool experience to meet very energetic kids of all ages. I met a lot of people from other schools and worked on running the booths together with them. They were really nice to talk to whenever there aren’t any kids or families coming over to play the games. Overall, the experience was great and chill for the entire event!

Tina Nguyen: this event is Creekside Church Festival! this event i was able to do with 3 of my friends that i have met from another event, keyclub was able to let me meet new people and make new friends from other schools! for this event i worked over at the kitchen area and served food to people, but while working i was also able to listen to music about god and catholics beliefs! i enjoyed this because i am also catholic and working for something that i can understand, i am very fond of that so i wasn’t left confused! i was also able to look around and see many people in different costumes the one that stuck out the most to me was a inflatable dinosaur because it was really huge, i’ve had many interactions with complete strangers but i was also able to make more friends from this event, and i am happy that i was able to get in my hours and serve for the church with my friends !
