Last week, I finally had the opportunity to sit down and watch the finale of Oprah. No guests or fanfare, just the great and powerful O, sitting in a chair, talking to her audience. She called it her love letter to viewers, old and new, who had been with her along the years. I found myself both mesmerized and inspired. In my life, I have only ever written one fan letter to a celebrity. I was ten as I hand-wrote to my then idol, Carol Burnett. I cannot express the glee I felt several weeks later, when I received a return thank you note and an autographed photo of the entire cast of the show. I cherished that photo for years. I’ve never had the urge to write another fan letter, but if I were going to, I would write one to Ms. Winfrey. Throughout my last 25 years, she has been a constant source of inspiration—proof of the reach and difference one woman can make in this world. It was that inspiration that made me believe that I could make a difference by bringing She into this world. As I sat and reviewed our Thirteenth Anniversary issue tonight before sending her off to press, I decided to compose a bit of a love letter myself—to you. Although this issue is filled with guests and fanfare, this moment is between you and me. I cannot express the gratitude I feel for the last thirteen years of my life with you. You’ve stood by us, followed us to events, written us letters, sent us your photos and stories, advertised with us and visited others who supported us, as well. You’ve understood if we made a little mistake or two along the way. You’ve made it possible for us to continue doing something we so love doing, when so many others in the industry have not been able to stay in print. Most importantly, you have helped us—helped me—to make a difference in this world. And we are, by no means, finished. This first issue of our fourteenth year of publishing brings about many changes. In an effort to continue to be current and fresh, we’ve switched over to all new production software and produced a brand new look throughout the magazine. We’ve added a couple of new things you can expect to enjoy each month and still have a few more we will be adding in the coming months. Along with our Android app we’ve just added one for iPad, as well. So now, you can read and share She in more ways than ever. We’ve also added a fan page for She on Facebook, since we maxed out on our ability to add friends to interact with on our original page. We’ve done all of this, out of gratitude and true love for you. It has been my privilege to be a part of your life for the last thirteen years and I am so looking forward to the next thirteen! Maybe by then Paul Simon will write a song for us, too. See you next month.

In 2007, Kina Grannis joined YouTube, made a music video and entered herself into a contest. A few months later, her video for Message From Your Heart aired during the Super Bowl and its 97 million viewers and she walked away with a record deal. Kina independently released her debut full-length album, Stairwells, which debuted on Billboard’s Top 200 and #5 on iTunes Pop Chart. Her music is both sweet and melancholy, but always filled with hope.

Albert Nobbs (Glenn Close) is a woman who transitioned to male in order to find work in the hard world of 19th century Ireland. After living as a male for thirty years, Albert works at a hotel as a waiter and is known for his steadfast dedication to his job as well as his introverted personality. He has been saving all of the money he is able to in the hopes of buying a shop for himself with, hopefully, a wife by his side. In theaters now.

Smash, is a drama that follows the production of a musical about Marilyn Monroe and the two ingénues vying for the lead. With high production value and an ensemble cast that includes Debra Messing, Megan Hilty, Katherine McPhee.and Anjelica Huston, the show is a colorful, splashy, and tune-filled entrant into the midseason lineup. The show has already landed cameos with Bernadette Peters and Uma Thurman. Mondays at 10 p.m. on NBC, starting Feb. 6.

Roberta Flack the four-time Grammy Awardwinning artist is back with a new song and forthcoming album, Let It Be Roberta, a collection of Beatles’ song interpretations. Says Roberta: “My passion for this project comes from the magical genius of the greatest songwriters of all time. Love, inspiration, friendship and my own life’s lessons come together when I sing the songs they created. I am honored to be a part of the fabulous legacy of the Beatles.”

In the upcoming flick, This Means War, two top CIA spies (Chris Pine and Tom Hardy) find their enduring friendship put to the ultimate test when they engage in an all-out war to win the affections of a beautiful woman (Reese Witherspoon). Chelsea Handler and Til Schweiger co-star in a comedy co-written by Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes) and Timothy Dowling (Role Models) and directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation). Opens Feb 14.

In the new series, GCB, Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb), former “Queen Bitch” in high school, a recently divorced single mother of two children who returns to Dallas where she grew up. She meets her former school friends, who she used to mock: (Kristin Chenoweth, Jennifer Aspen, Marisol Nichols and Miriam Shor). She and her children live with her fifty something mother Gigi (Annie Potts), who still acts like a twenty something. Premieres Sunday, March 4, 10pm on ABC.

not to be missed: The upcoming series Scandal, stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, former media relations consultant to the President. After leaving the White House, she opened her own firm, hoping to start a new career and personal life. Look for the premiere late this month on ABC.

From February to June 2012, OPE will convene these White House LGBT Conferences to provide grassroots leaders, community organizers, advocates, students, and interested citizens an opportunity to

hear directly from the Administration on our efforts to ensure health, well-being, security, justice, and equality for LGBT Americans. The inaugural event, the White House LGBT Conference on Health, will be held in Philadelphia on February 16th, and will feature remarks by Secretary of Health & Human Services Kathleen Sebelius. Participants will receive important updates from senior Administration officials and have the opportunity to learn about Federal government resources and opportunities through workshop sessions. Future White House LGBT Conferences will be held in other locations throughout the country and focus on topics such as Housing & Homelessness, Safe Schools & Communities, and HIV/AIDS Prevention. CITY OF DELRAY BEACH eXtendS dOmeStic PartnerSHiP beneFitS Florida’s Delray Beach City Commission voted unanimously on this past January 20th to amend the City’s Family and Medical Leave Policy to allow city employees to use family and medical leave to care for their domestic partners in the same manner married employees may use it to care for their spouses. The action was taken at the request of the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council, which has been working with the city on domestic partnership issues since 2006. The Palm Beach County Human Rights Council has been the leading advocate for domestic partner benefits in Florida since 1992, when the City of West Palm Beach became Florida’s first public employer to provide domestic partnership benefits. “With this action, the City of Delray Beach now offers employees with domestic partners virtually all of the same family benefits it provides to married employees,” said Human Rights Council President Rand Hoch, “The pro-family domestic partnership policies in Delray Beach are among the most progressive in the State of Florida.” Thanks to the work of the Palm Beach Human Rights Council, GLBT couples through-

out Palm Beach County whose relationships are legally recognized anywhere in the world will have: * the same rights as spouses to visit a partner at health care facilities, County correctional facilities and juvenile detention facilities located within Palm Beach County. (A dependent of a domestic partner shall have the same visitation rights as a patient’s or prisoner’s child); * the same rights as spouses to make health care decisions for an incapacitated partner; * the same rights as surviving spouses with regard to funeral and burial decisions as well as with regard to the disposition of a decedent partner’s body; * the right to be notified in those situations where notification of family is mandated or permissible; and, * the right to be designated and to serve as a pre-need guardian. More public employers in Palm Beach County provide domestic partnership benefits than in any of Florida’s other sixty-six counties. In Palm Beach County, public employers that provide domestic partnership health insurance and other benefits include Palm Beach County, the School District of Palm Beach County, Palm

Beach State College, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the Office of the Clerk and Comptroller, the Office of the Tax Collector, the Office of the Property Appraiser, the Office of the Supervisor of Elections, the Port of Palm Beach, the Solid Waste Authority, Palm Tran, Palm Beach County Children’s Services Council, the Palm Beach County Health Care District, Seacoast Utility Authority, as well as the cities of Delray Beach, Lake Worth, and West Palm Beach, the Town of Jupiter and the Village of Wellington. Patricia Ireland (NOW) & Howard Simon (ACLU) to be honored at the Aqua Ally Awards The Aqua Foundation for Women will celebrate allies to the LBT women’s community at Aqua Ally Awards in just a few days. One of this year’s honorees is Patricia Ireland, former president of NOW, who cut her teeth as an activist when she was a flight attendant and discovered that her husband wasn’t covered under her insurance but male employees spouses were. Her local NOW chapter advised her to go to court, where she won, and she then began pursuing a career in law, graduating with her J.D. from University of Miami. She continued her involvement with NOW as chair of the lesbian rights task force and went on to become President, where she spearheaded the clinic escort program and made lesbian rights one of NOW’s top priorities. During her tenure she also was deeply involved in organizing and speaking at the 1993 march on Washington for LGBT rights. Ireland now has an active law practice in Miami

and focuses on labor and civil rights issues. The awards will also recognize Howard Simon, who has been a tireless defender of Civil Rights as Executive Director of the ACLU in Florida, where his office led the charge on overturning the anti-gay adoption legislation in Florida. Simon not only fought this legislation in the courts but through public education campaigns that changed the hearts and minds of the people. His dedication to our community extends back much farther than that though; in 2005 he created the ACLU of Florida LGBT Advocacy project, which has largely served as the legal arm of the LGBT movement in Florida. Since its inception, staff attorneys for the ACLU’s Project have won cases challenging official resistance to the establishment of Gay Straight Alliances by public school officials as well as discrimination and harassment of LGBT students in public schools throughout Florida, including Nassau County north of Jacksonville, Okeechobee County and Holmes County in Florida’s Panhandle. Under Simon’s leadership, the Florida ACLU continues to be a champion of LGBT equality. CITY OF MIAMI BEACH PROCLAIMS “NATIONAL GAY AND LESBIAN TASK FORCE” DAY Citing the $1.2 million donated back to local community organizations through the fundraising efforts of its Winter Party Festival and Miami Recognition Dinner, City Commissioner Michael Gongora proclaimed Wednesday, January 11, 2012, “National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Day” in Miami Beach. The proclamation kicked off the Miami Beach City Commission meeting and also included individual certificates of appreciation to Task Force staff, board members and volunteers. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force builds the political power of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community from the ground up. The Task Force is the country’s premier social justice organization fighting to improve the lives of LGBT people and working to create positive, lasting change and opportunity for all. One of the world’s largest and most anticipated events of the year, Winter Party Festival is expected to draw 10,000 revelers from around the world. Any good lesbian knows of Xena: Warrior Princess. If you were hardcore, you had the poster, owned the DVDs, read the fan fiction, and had a major girl crush on Xena. So, in January of 2010 we were so relieved to have Lucy Lawless back on TV as Lucretia in the first season of the STARZ sexy, bloody slave-and-gladiator series, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, followed by a prequel series, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. If you have yet to watch it, the series was inspired by the historical figure of Spartacus, a Thracian gladiator who from 73 to 71 BC led a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic. After a huge loss last year, when titular actor Andy Whitfield died of cancer at age 39, there was much speculation on whether Spartacus would even be returning. The first season ended in an explosive finale, “Kill Them All,” as Spartacus led a brutal rampage at the House of Batiatus that more than fulfilled the promise of the episode’s title. Season 2, Spartacus: Vengeance, begins just a few weeks after that massacre. Spartacus: Vengeance premiered on January 27th. We recently spoke to Lucy as soon as she arrived in Los Angeles from overseas and, after a five-year absence, we’re delighted to have her once again on our anniversary cover. So, ladies, breathe, because our forever warrior princess is back!

Spartacus is back for another season! Are you surprised at how well the show has been received?

Yes and no. Yes, I’m thrilled it’s all happening, though not surprised, but so gratified that it’s being recognized for all the clever people and all the hard work that goes into it. When you first read the script for Spartacus: Blood and Sand, did you have any reservations about it?

Honestly, I never read the script. When Rob, my husband, said, “It’s a great role,” I just believed him, his face, I mean, I knew he wasn’t kidding. Wow, blind faith?

A little bit of blind faith, because I know when he gets that look in his eye about a show,

when he puts his nose to the grindstone over a certain idea, it’s going to be outrageous; it’s going to push the frontiers of television. Oh, it has! Did the producers tell you up front just how much nudity and sex would be happening throughout the series? I mean, it’s like “Porn B.C.” Did you have any concerns?

Right. Well, yeah, some, but even with that, it does come around to sting you in the backside. It’s just always hard doing that stuff. It was more like, “Umm...oh well...” In this case, the roles are so damn good, and the sex is so important to the scenes [because of] the transfer and interchange of power through the sex. Those scenes are important and you have to believe in their necessity. (sighs) However, yes, it’s still an incredibly unpleasant process to go through, filming those scenes. It’s crazy, surrounded by people, lights and cameras all over the place. I’m sure it’s got to be hard.

Yes! You’re around these people for months at a time. Some I’ve even known for years, and they become like your cousins, you know? Sometimes it feels like (laughs) “Oooh, this is just so wrong... it’s so wrong!” The production team and crew have suffered quite a loss. How has it been since the passing of Andy Whitfield and re-casting the role of Spartacus with Liam McIntyre? It shows such strength and confidence to carry on, and I’m sure it’s difficult, but the support of the network and fans seems to be there. Do you feel that on set?

Oh, we feel it very much. We miss Andy, yes. But, we feel very supported, and it’s great especially for Liam to have all that love coming at him as he comes into his first, big starring role. He’s really risen to the occasion. I have to give him his props. He has qualities that he brings. He has his own certain something. Andy was a very special human being and talent. It’s a lot for Liam, you know? True and scary- Liam had big shoes to fill.

Very big, yes. That was the fear. But you know, Liam has big ol’ feet and the heart of a lion. I mean, he’s not Andy, but we don’t expect him to be Andy. He’s Liam, and he has leadership skills. He’s charming, he’s kind and funny and generous. He’s a beautiful entity in himself. When you meet him, he just knocks your socks off, and he works like a son of gun! After Xena, we saw you pop up in some very unlikely shows, like Two and a Half Men and American Dad. is it fun to explore comedy after such serious roles?

Yeah, I actually started out in comedy. I feel like I want to go back there and really do something well. All those things have been a bit of a dilettante, like, people will say, “Hey, come do our show,” and I’m all “Sure, okay” about it, and it’s fun, but it’s not like I’ve been smart about it. I wasn’t pointedly going after what I wanted. I never have, but I think it’s because I didn’t really know what I wanted. I was just floating, going with the flow of whatever came my way. Now I’ve reached an age [and] my kids are at an age...I’m a little bit different now. I’m a little more indulgent and introspective about where I want to go next. No more of this mucking around on other people’s shows. I have to like them personally, or they have to give me a kick in the pants in some way that’s really fascinating to me. I’m not doing just any ol’ thing anymore. Many of your roles in the past, including those on Xena, Hercules, and Tarzan, are so physically demanding. SHE - 25 - 02/12

know your wounds weren’t fatal in the finale, what do you hope we’ll get to know more about Lucretia this season?

Does it bother you to be jumping on and off horses, climbing rocks and trees, battling and sword fighting, or do you enjoy that kind of physically challenging work?

I want to make you guys love her. Inspite of everything she does, and inspite of your moral code, with your best intentions, I want you to like her and understand her. I think that wherever you think she’s going to wind up by the end, you’re going to watch it and make predictions about what’s going to happen, and I guarantee you will be floored.

I never thought I liked it. It was just part of the job. I didn’t have a choice, so I just knuckled down and did whatever they told me to get it over and done with as soon as possible. It was never really my kind of thing, but now when I’m required to do that sort of thing, the ol’ adrenaline kicks in like it did in the old days. My body likes it, but my mind still says “Oh my God, get me out of here!” Are you amazed at the Xena fan following after all these years? I remember, like, 15 years ago, I had a roommate move in, and all she brought with her were her clothes and a six-foot-tall cardboard cutout of Xena that stood in my kitchen for two years! So, technically, we’ve shared many a meal.

You had to live with that? Sorry! (laughing) I had to have her disconnect the “Warrior Cry” speaker box by day two.

Oh my, that went off every time you walked past it, didn’t it? (laughing) Yes! But seriously, the fans are so loyal. That was my only experience- but memorable!

The Xena fans amaze me because they are and have been so coherent, unlike any other fans anywhere. They are such a force for good in the world’s community and in their personal communities. They’re really bound by some sense of duty to leave the world a little better off. I really honor them for that. As if the ass-kicking Xena role didn’t already have you in just about every lesbian’s fantasy, you also appeared on The L Word, further causing a stir in our cargo pants. Did you ever think you’d have legions of lesbians lusting after you when you started out in this business?

(laughs) Never would have occurred to me, but, hey, bring it on. It’s all good! Did you have a good time on The L Word? We miss it.

I know! I loved that show! It was so good and all those actresses were so damn fine! But, you know, it’s so interesting because it was the third time that I’ve been present at the end or in the last episode of a series. The first being, obviously, Xena, the second was Battlestar [Galactica], and quickly followed by The L Word- and it’s such an interesting

Yes, something in post-production, like with blood splatters and stuff, and some editing and technicals, that sort of thing. Does she take her lunch breaks when it comes time to edit Mom’s scenes?

phenomenon what happens when a long-term show is breaking up because the cast and crew go into withdrawal ahead of time, like separation anxiety, almost like preparing but in an unconscious way. It makes people very fragile. You get to see people in a very raw state. That’s not a negative thing I’m saying, because they were very kind. I consider it a real honor to see people as themselves, because they reveal their secret selves and their humanity, because we’re all going about our lives in this really mannered way to project a persona of confidence. To see people with defenses down, wow. I mean, I really live for that. It’s such a connection. I love them, even though I hardly know them. I didn’t even know anything about the role I was playing, but to be with those cool chicks, I loved it. For the role of Lucretia in Spartacus, you play a loyal wife of a powermad husband, and we’ve just barely scratched the surface of the character in the first season. Now that we

I can imagine. But I think it was all the sex that initially got people interested and sucked in. Then the characters and storylines took over and we’re all hooked now.

All that porny stuff was the “shock and awe” like the first attack of it, the first wave. It got everybody’s attention. Even Hoda and Kathy Lee were saying it was unacceptable, and then I went on and said, “Hey, it’s on past 10pm, on a pay channel. Put the kids to bed, and remember it’s for consenting adults!” what have been some of your favorite roles?

Clearly, Xena... and Lucretia are my favorite roles. You get to play yourself in a lot of cameo roles, a true testament to your sense of your humor. Will we get to see you in more comedy-driven roles soon?

I loved working with Larry David. I loved being on The Simpsons. You know, when I look back, I’ll never feel famous or particularly special, but I’ll know I must have done something right to be able to say, “oh my God, I worked with Larry David,” or “I was on The Simpsons,” because those are very special shows. It’s my hope that Spartacus is to STARZ what The Sopranos was to HBO.

One of the most convenient and effective ways to combat oral disease is feeding specially formulated foods proven effective in combating plaque and tartar buildup. noticias Estados Unidos dona material a Honduras para investigar la violencia homófoba La Embajada estadounidense en Honduras ha donado equipamiento informático de alto nivel a la recién creada Unidad de Diversidad Sexual de la Dirección Nacional de Investigación (DNIC), cuya finalidad es investigar los crímenes contra las personas LGTB. La unidad se ha puesto en marcha después de que en estos últimos años se haya producido un recrudecimiento de la violencia homófoba y tránsfoba, hasta tal punto que Estados Unidos, aliado del Gobierno hondureño, le exigió investigar dichos crímenes “vigorosamente”. La entrega del equipo fue llevada a cabo por dos agentes estadounidenses especializados en violencia contra las personas LGTB, que durante su estancia en el país brindarán capacitación a los agentes hondureños. La unidad, cuya puesta en marcha recogíamos hace dos meses, cuenta con varios agentes y un fiscal, que trabajarán de forma específica en la recolección de indicios en este tipo de crímenes.

Honduras arrastra un triste historial por lo que al respeto de los derechos LGTB se refiere. Hace ahora un año hacíamos referencia a las decenas de asesinatos de personas LGTB cometidos en ese país a lo largo de los últimos años, una situación que empeoró tras el golpe de estado de junio de 2009. Una de las muertes más significativas fue la de Walter Tróchez, activista LGTB asesinado en diciembre de 2009, pocos días después de recibir una paliza por parte, precisamente, de presuntos miembros de la DNIC.

Designan a mujer abiertamente lesbiana como Ministra de Salud de Ecuador El presidente del Ecuador, Rafael Correa, a finales de Enero designó a Karina Vance Mafla, mujer públicamente lesbiana y activista LGBT, como Ministra de Salud Pública. De acuerdo a lo que publica el diario “El Tiempo”, la designación de Vance, una activista lesbiana, fue saludada por el colectivo Igualdad de Derechos Ya , que aboga por la equidad, la justicia y la participación de forma visible de las personas y colectivos GLBTI del Ecuador. El colectivo espera que Vance “pueda atender y resolver en lo posible, desde su despacho, temas relegados por esta Cartera de

Estado como el ilegal funcionamiento de las llamadas ‘clínicas de deshomosexualización’ que funcionan en el país, y que debe controlar el MSP; asimismo solventar las falencias que existen en la distribución de anti retrovirales para personas con VIH; y la consolidadción de políticas de atención médica adecuadas en el sistema de salud pública para personas de la diversidad sexual, que por nuestra condición, solemos ser discriminadas”. Carina Vance Mafla de 33 años, nació en Oakland, California y durante su niñez vivió en Europa donde a los 13 años ella y su primera novia fueron atacadas por jovenes homofobicos, lo cual le sirvió para “conocer la reacción de la sociedad”. Luego de graduarse de la Universidad de California en Berkeley y obtener una maestria en salud pública, Carina regresó a Ecuador en el 2004 donde se convirtió en activista LGBT y fue la directora ejecutiva de la Fundación Causana, una organización que lucha por los derechos de las mujeres lesbianas.

Celebrarán el Día de la Dignidad LGBT en Perú El Bloque Estudiantil LGTBI y el Movimiento Homosexual de Lima (MHOL) organizan la conmemoración, el próximo 12 de febrero, el que ya ha sido bautizado como Día de la Dignidad LGBT. Diversas acciones pacíficas coordinadas, que se irán conociendo en próximos días, recordarán la carga policial contra un grupo de activistas el 12 de febrero del año pasado cuando bajo el lema Besos contra la Homofobia, un grupo de activistas LGTB peruanos celebraron un “besatón” en el centro de Lima. Sin embargo, ante la denuncia de que aquel 12 de febrero habría en la Plaza de Armas una “manifestación de homosexuales”, medio centenar de policías, tanquetas y vehículos rompe-manifestaciones parecían esperar allí una horda de bárbaros y no unas decenas de mujeres y hombres armados únicamente con besos. Tras ser expulsados de la acera donde se encuentra el Palacio Municipal, y practicamente obligados a refugiarse entre la multitud sentada en las gradas de la Catedral, varias parejas empezaron a besarse. La gente allí congregada reaccionó con indiferencia en su mayor parte, algunos a favor, otros en contra. Pero la Policía se lanzó sobre las parejas que se besaban como si fueran peligrosos delincuentes. Se desencadenó una trifulca que duró algo mas de una hora. Una manifestación pacífica se convirtió casi en revuelta. Por primera vez, una generación de jóvenes LGTB que vive fuera del closet en Perú era consciente de sus derechos y estaba resuelta a defenderlos. Una generación que ya no se conforma con la ilusión de libertad que se vive en discotecas y bares donde la policía ya (casi) no incursiona y quieren poder vivir una vida plena como ciudadanos y ciudadanas, con los mismos derechos que cualquier otra persona nacida en este país. Es por eso que aquel día fueron capaces de defenderse, de gritar “ser homosexual no es delito”, de denunciar a los policías agresores y defender ante micrófonos y cámaras su derecho a vivir sin miedo ni vergüenza, a plena luz.

En inglés, en español, ritmos caribeños o el rock ‘ roll, The Chirino Sisters (Jessica, Angie y Nicolle) se las saben todas, y se lo saben bien, arriba del escenario o produciendo a otros artistas. Para quienes disfrutamos de la música latina, hacer la historia de la herencia musical de las hermanas esta de más. Recientemente hablamos con Jessica Chirino sobre su música y la próxima presentación del grupo en una de las fiestas de mujeres del Winter Party.

gusto con la selección del repertorio. A veces es un poco difícil, pero siempre lo logramos. Sé que tienen proyectos independientes. ¿Es por esto que sólo vemos 3 hermanas como parte del grupo, aunque antes no estaba Nicolle?

Las Chirino Sisters son en realidad cinco hermanas y en varios momentos nos hemos unido y luego nos separamos por un tiempo y nos volvemos a unir y por allí sigue. Por ahora somos Angie, Jesse y Nicolle que integran esta encarnación particular del grupo. Nuestra hermana Olgui actualmente se encuentra de gira como integrante de la banda de Shakira y Alana está viviendo en Los Angeles trabajando con productores y compositores de la costa Oeste. En muchas ocasiones y cuando es posible, nos unimos en alguna presentación y sin duda volveremos a trabajar juntas porque a fin de cuentas, somos hermanas y cantar juntas es lo que más hacemos.

¿Cómo complementan el talento de las 3? ¿Qué papel juega cada una sobre el escenario?

Cada una de las hermanas tiene su propio estilo y gustos musicales. Al unirnos las tres, podemos fundir nuestros estilos y ofrecer una variedad musical siempre con un idioma común en cuanto a la energía y musicalidad. Tenemos también una vida entera cantando juntas, aún cuando no estamos trabajando y creemos que eso se comunica en las voces y en las melodías. A la misma vez, se puede decir que cada una tiene su momento para brindar lo mejor de su arte en cada estilo particular.

¿Qué podemos esperar de su participación en una de las fiestas de Winter Party?

¿Hay algún momento en que desean estar en silencio, sin hablar, sin cantar? ¿Es posible?

Todo el que tenga familia grande siempre añora esos momentos cuando se puede apreciar un poco de silencio, y en nuestro caso es lo mismo pero verdaderamente que nos buscamos y disfrutamos nuestro tiempo familiar. Definitivamente es posible pero no frecuente. Han escrito y producido éxitos para otros artistas. Actualmente, ¿resulta más productivo económicamente estar detrás o en el escenario?

Siempre en lo que se trata de la composición y la producción, en muchos casos es más lucrativo que estar en un escenario. ¡Pero lo ideal es estar en los dos!

¿Tienen que ajustar su repertorio dependiendo del lugar donde se presentan? ¿Cómo preparan los temas?

Siempre hay algunas variantes dependiendo del sitio donde nos estemos presentando, pero por lo general es un mismo concepto siempre y constantemente estamos editando y perfeccionando el material para poder presentar un show entretenido y dinámico. En cuanto el repertorio, cada una comparte y tiene que ver con esas decisiones a partes iguales. Siempre logramos que las tres estemos a

Best Lesbian Erotica 2012 edited by Kathleen Warnock and Sinclair Sexsmith: First things first, if you’ve never heard of Sinclair Sexsmith, the boi behind the selection of this year’s Best Lesbian Erotica tales, you’re missing out. Her blog The Sugarbutch Chronicles (www.sugarbutch.net) is literate, raw, and always very sexy, a glimpse inside the modern mind – and relationship - of an endlessly honest writer.
