Everyone has a dream—something they have always wanted to learn how to do, but just haven’t gotten around to it. Maybe you’ve wanted to take some vocal lessons, learn to speak Chinese, flip a pancake without a spatula, play the piano or knit. There’s something. You know there is. I have always wanted to learn how to fly a hot air balloon. No, I have never even ridden in one, and it’s possible that doing so would make me puke. But I still want more than just the experience of being a rider. I want to know how to be the pilot. It would be really obvious for me to sit here and tell you that anything you want to learn you can go out and pay someone to teach you. In a word—duh. But the truth is that there is a whole world of options out there, which do not require you to spend a dime. Consider this: For every dream you have to learn something new, there is someone else in this world who wants to learn something you already know. Maybe you can give vocal lessons, speak Chinese, can flip a pancake without a spatula, play the piano or knit. The key is to take what you know and trade that knowledge with someone who has the knowledge you seek. Cool concept, right? I call it, “Dream Barters,” and believed in it so much, that a close friend and I created a Facebook page to back it up. Knowledge is power, and there is a world of knowledge out there if you look in the right place. You might find someone in China that wants to learn English as much as you want to learn Chinese. I don’t know how to play the piano or knit, but I sure know how to flip a pancake in a pan without using a spatula. You might not be able to teach me how to pilot a hot air balloon, but that’s okay. I’m sure you know something that I would love to learn. So, this month, I am challenging you to pick something you have always dreamed of learning how to do and go out into this world and find someone who will teach you how to do it, in exchange for some knowledge you have to share. You can “like” the Dream barters page on Facebook. You can talk to co-workers, neighbors or friends. But do something this month to make it happen. In the words of Tim Curry, “Don’t dream it—BE it!” See you next month.

in the news NEW POLL: LGBT Issues See Historic Political Shift Logo TV Releases Survey Comparing General Population with LGBT Voter Attitudes, Demonstrating Increasingly Shared Values In an election year with historic shifts in attitudes toward gay rights, the issues of concern to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender voters (LGBT), such as same-sex marriage, serving openly in the military, and to be free from hate crimes, among others, are significantly shaping voters’ decisions well beyond LGBT Americans. These findings from a poll released by Logo TV also indicate that LGBT voters prioritize the same issues of the economy, unemployment, and health care as do a cross-section of all American voters. The survey compares the political attitudes of 1,367 U.S. voters, 18 and older, reflecting the broader American electorate, with those of 1,190 self-identified LGBT voters, 18 and older. The survey was conducted online by Harris Interactive on behalf of Logo TV from August 10th hrough 15th. • Most Important Issue in Deciding 2012 Presidential Election Vote, Ranked in Order of Importance to LGBT Voters (** indicates statistically significant difference, all numbers are percentages)

feature What comes to mind when someone thinks of a gay pride festival? Most would probably associate the term with rainbow flags, over the top parade floats (even if it is a local drag queen sitting on the back of a convertible, tossing condoms in the crowd), and excessive drinking and partying. Pride is not just about being gay, coming out of the closet, or partying harder than usual. Having pride is something everyone can relate to, regardless of color, race, or sexual preference. Pride is what helps unite communities and families, brings people together, and conquers their fears or personal restrictions. Pride allows someone the opportunity to release apprehensions and become her true self. This October, the city of Orlando’s Come Out With Pride festival plans to reiterate that message more than ever with their celebration “World of Pride,” where they will be offering their guests more than just a festival and parade, but a weeklong event that caters to everyone. Each year tens of thousands of people from all backgrounds flock to the streets of downtown Orlando for the annual pride parade. The local businesses and downtown civilians open up their doors in celebration, creating an exciting and wonderful environment for everyone. While downtown, be sure to check out some of Orlando’s exceptional local hangouts, such as Stardust Lounge (a cool underground throwback bar with great music and plenty of seating), Shari (a sheik sushi restaurant and bar that offers a lively -- and affordable -- happy hour from 4-7pm each evening), and Burton’s Bar (Orlando’s oldest standing bar, offering everything from billiards, darts and shuffle board to its guests). This year, on top of the exceptionally beautiful central Florida fall weather, pride organizers will enhance participants’ experiences with

a farmer’s market-esque food and beverage setup. Crowd goers will be able to try cuisine and drinks from around the world while learning about other countries and their LGBT communities. For families with children accompanying them, there will be plenty of child-friendly food and beverages. There will also be a Disney-sponsored kid zone so the little ones can enjoy themselves. Accompanying the international treats and delicacies will be a wide range of performing artists, from choirs to DJs, providing music for all ears, including female R&B singer/songwriter Live Hart. To top everything off, eight LGBT couples will be married on stage before local government officials, with thousands of their friends, family, and neighbors present to congratulate them. After the marriages will be the official Pride parade through the streets of Orlando, followed by a spectacular fireworks display to light the night skies. Come Out With Pride’s director, Mikael Audebert, says, “Our mission is to celebrate living an authentic life, celebrate diversity in its entirety and promote acceptance and equality while opposing societal prejudices. We are hopeful our theme ‘World of Pride’ will bring about a greater understanding of what our community truly stands for and a better appreciation of the challenges we continue to face on a global scale.” Orlando Pride Parade & Festival will take place Sunday, October 6, 2012. This year’s parade Marshal is Debbie Gibson. Make sure you stop at She Magazine’s booth during the festival! For more information on this destination event, visit Orlando Pride’s website at www.comeoutwithpride.com.

JENNIFER

BEALS

ON YOUR LAP

Jennifer Beals is back and what better place to have her, but right in your lap as part of the new Internet-based 3-episode WIGS series, Lauren, which debuted on August 13th. Beals plays Commanding Officer, Major Jo Stone, who has just been informed by Lauren, a female solider in her unit, that she was brutally raped by three fellow officers. The intense drama is played brilliantly by Jennifer as the conflicted Officer, and Troian Bellisario (“Pretty Little Liars”), a young solider looking for justice. When we asked what her loyal lesbian fans will think of the Major Stone character and what they might be drawn to in WIGS, Beals said: “I don’t know what the lesbian fans will like about the series. Maybe the uniform? And I say that lovingly because I have to say, my lesbian fans are the most loyal that I have ever encountered and I’m very grateful to all of them. This character is very different from Bette. She does not have the same kind of vulnerability that Bette has. She is probably two years short of being completely ossified in a way, having to survive and succeed within the parameters of the military. I don’t think it’s easy for anyone to keep their tenderness intact and when having spent that many years in the military, I think that it’s really a challenge to be a tenderhearted warrior. I think for her it’s been particularly difficult. She comes from a generation who felt that if they were to be the victim of any kind of sexual assault, that it would (behoove) them to silence themselves so that they wouldn’t experience the second trauma of being belittled. I think she’s had to silence herself a lot. She’s had to take on a role, a much more masculine role probably, than her parents would have ever wanted for her. She could kick Bette’s a*s in about two seconds.” Being in a project that’s based solely on the Internet was new territory for Jennifer. “I feel like you are able to tell stories that perhaps you wouldn’t be able to tell on network TV or perhaps cable. There’s a sense of freedom. It feels very free because there are no real rules attached to it because nobody really knows exactly what it is yet. So it feels very exciting.” So, what attracts Jennifer to a script or a new project? “The story is always the first and foremost. I’m most enticed by a narrative regardless of what the budget is and then it’s certainly a consideration of who you get to work with, who you get to go play with. And those are the most important factors. If I have to pay the mortgage—that’s also a consideration!” Beals laughed. Check out the new series WIGS on YouTube at www.youtube.com/wigs.

Our queen of rock is back and better than ever! Melissa Etheridge puts still more of her trademark passion into her 12th studio release, the brand new album, 4th Street Feeling, released on September 4th. We recently spoke to our Queen of Rock about her album, her kids, new relationships and more. Your new CD has such a brave, confident feel to it and you wrote 12 songs. What was the general feeling when you were putting it together?

That means a lot to me, thank you! It is the most confident album I have ever made. Twenty five years ago, people would ask me “What would you like to be doing 20 years from now?” and I remember saying, “I would love to just be making and playing music that people love to hear,” and I when I made this album, it dawned on me, “I got my dream. I did. I’m still here. So, let’s just make some more good music, and music that I love,” and with that came this freedom. I just felt so free. It was a feeling of, “This is right. I’m the right

person, doing the right thing for me. I’m supposed to be right here, doing this,” and that really is what this album is all about. Tell us a little about the title, 4th Street Feeling.

First off I’d say that 4th Street Feeling has got to be the hardest title ever to pronounce! (laughs) The poor European fans! (laughs) Ok, it is an actual street in Leavenworth, Kansas - my hometown, and it was the main drag – you know, where the McDonald’s was, the place we used to cruise up and down all the time. The first car I ever had was a 1964 Chevy Impala and we used a similar car on the cover for the album, and you know, it brings me back. It’s a memory. So, that 4th Street Feeling just brings me back. You know, we’re older now, we have so many more responsibilities, and I remember when everything I had I could fit in that Chevy! So, it was an easier time. The first single “Falling Up” is on iTunes and the response from fans and Rolling Stone Magazine has been great. There’s a certain excitement in that song that sets a tone. Was it intentional that “Falling Up” was the first released single?

You know (laughs), it sounds crazy, but when I’m done with making my record, I hand it in to the music execs, and I say, “Here you go.” At that point, I don’t know. I’m connected to every song, so I let them decide how to handle it. I don’t know what people listen to. That’s their job. What’s funny is that, out of all the songs, “Falling Up” is probably the one I wouldn’t have even put on the album. I mean, it’s a fun song, and I love it, but it was just kind of sweet to me. The execs listened to it and went nuts. They loved it! They loved the energy of it and decided right off that was the one going out first. You’re just back from New Zealand and Australia. It’s the first time in a long time since you’ve been there. How was that for you?

It was wonderful! Such a great feeling to have such a warm welcome after being gone from there so long! Everyone knew all the songs, not just the ones from my big albums. I mean, they knew all the songs. I sold out two nights at the Sydney Opera House - and that was a dream come true for me. It was amazing. I can’t wait that long again. “Rock’n’Roll Me” is so smooth and sexy, I just love it. It’s one of those songs you can listen to over and over. It has a really different bluesy feel to it. With so many songs on this CD to love, do you have a favorite?

Denise, you’re making my day! I’m so happy you liked it! I go through phases, and I like all of them at different times. Right now I’m into “Shadow of a Black Crow”. Is it scary to try new sounds and styles because fans are looking for the “classic Melissa” stuff?

You know (laughs), I don’t even know what “classic Melissa” is anymore. I mean, I push myself a lot into new areas, but I always try and stay true to the core of me. I want to be able to just pick up my guitar and be able to play my song by myself. That’s always been my measuring stick. This album does have a lot of my influences on it [like] bluegrass and different instruments. I grew up listening to The Commodores, Marvin Gaye and The Supremes. It’s nice to bring styles that influence my life into my new music. There are some amazing guitar riffs and really cool sounds. There’s a banjitar and a harmonica on these new tracks (“Be Real”), all to your credit. It’s like a rush of creativity for the ears. What inspired you?

That’s what happened! I wanted to do more of the stuff that I enjoy as much as I could. Ever since I toured Europe and England, I’ve been pushing myself to play harmonica and different stuff, guitars, banjitars - because I like them. I put a lot of them on the album, so I could play that sort of stuff. I’m glad it comes through in the music because I’m having a great time playing it. So, was it scary, you asked me before? It was scary to put myself out there and say, “I’m going to play the harmonica,

I’m going to play all the lead guitar, I’m going to play the banjitar myself” and put so much of me into it. That part was a little scary.

moves us. I talk a little bit about what I know, take calls, talk to listeners, read their letters and play songs. It’s pretty cool. I love doing it.

As we’ve read, you’re in a new, healthy, happy relationship with Linda Wallem, (creator, producer of “Nurse Jackie”). How does a world tour impact that?

You live your life pretty much out loud, but that has its downside, as we all saw during your last relationship. Are you doing anything differently now?

Ooooh, it is the hardest part. She works as hard as I do, so it’s a constant balancing of schedules. We’re trying to schedule through the end of the year to be sure we have time together, when she can come out to me, when I can fly back to her. I mean, it’s hard. I just did a show in Portland and she came out for that, and it was great. And the same thing with my kids, you know? I have to keep it all balanced. I mean, my life is my work and my family. Do the kids like coming to see you play?

Yeah, maybe a little more private. I don’t go out much anymore. (laughs) Look, I’m very happy. I have a wonderful relationship. It’s everything I ever wanted. I have a beautiful, warm family with my two baby-mommas, who are still a part of my world because we share children. So, it’s a wonderful blend of people, but you know, no one can know what that’s really like. So yeah, maybe I lay low a little more, but that’s fine because I’m happy!

Yeah, I think they get a kick out of it. Are they musically inclined? Have you seen signs?

Yeah! They all are a little bit! My daughter really loves it. She’s got her eye on Broadway. Speaking of that, you made your Broadway debut in Green Day’s rock opera “American Idiot.” Did you ever think when you started out one day you would be on Broadway? Has the bug bitten you (because I read somewhere you’re working on a musical)?

That was so much fun! I love Broadway! I’ve always been a very good gay. I love “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Godspell” and anything Andrew Lloyd Weber. I think it was always a destination for me. I absolutely loved being onstage in a production. It was amazing. I just kind of had to give it up for a while for my own work, but I love it and would love to get back to it.

4th Street Feeling is your 12th studio album for Island Records. You seem to have a great relationship with your label. How important is that to an artist?

It’s so great to have that. I’ve been so fortunate to be with the same record company for 25 years! Now, that doesn’t mean I’ve been with the same people because as you know in business, that changes constantly, but to be with the same label and have their support. They have such respect for me, and you can’t buy that. I’m very lucky. You have a syndicated radio show now, “The Melissa Etheridge Show.” What a great way to stay in touch with fans. What’s that been like?

Oh yeah! It’s great! It’s on almost 20 markets across the country and Canada. We talk about music and a little bit about life and what

If laughter is the best medicine, than what could be a better cure for the summertime blues than a combination of Womenfest Key West and Curiously Strong Comedy, with this year’s line-up of Chantal Carrere, Erin Foley and Sandra Valls? This month, we had the pleasure of rounding out our set of interviews with this hilarious trio, by speaking with Erin Foley and Sandra Valls.

SANDRA VALLS ] You are the perfect blend for every avenue of comedy. how do you choose your material, as far the fun Mexican jokes, lesbian jokes and everyday observations?

My jokes come from what I personally find funny, what pisses me off, and what is just plain absurd! The jokes usually start with me shooting the breeze on the phone with my BFF Christopher or just in conversation with

my girlfriend, Jackie. If we fall out laughing, I’ll use it. Even if it’s something that really pisses me off or annoys me, I’ll use it. I also find that you can inject messages through humor. Someone once said, “When their mouths are open with laughter, I feed them a message.” That’s so true. Laughter can entertain, heal, educate and elevate your spirit. I make that my personal mission with my comedy. It is through awareness that we transform, validate and empower ourselves for the better. You’re a comedian, a partner and a parent. How do you find the balance?

Wow. It’s not easy since I have raging ADD. I am constantly striving for time management and organization. Thank God I have an amazing partner who can roll with me and keep me on track. We have date night. We have family game night or family outings. We put aside time to do these things. We understand and support each other’s careers and know that there are times when we have to be away

from home. It’s a constant renegotiation and restructuring of our family life. The kids are getting older and have different needs and wants than when they were little, so Jackie and I constantly have to check in and reinvent our family life. Communication is key! You can have it all. I do. How did you know stand up comedy was the right choice for you?

I’ve always loved to make people laugh. I didn’t pick it. It picked me. It sort of fell in my lap when an old girlfriend signed me up for an adult education comedy class. We were going through a break up and I didn’t feel very much like laughing but my friend, Chris, suggested I take the class simply to make more friends. I went to my first class and I was hooked. It healed my heart. I’ve been doing this ever since. When I get emails from fans saying that they saw me on TV and I helped them come out to their family, when they write me that I got them through a tragedy with my crazy

jokes, this is what it’s all about. Healing. I love what I do. That’s how I know. I love doing it. Are there ever moments on stage when you blank or freeze up?

Oh my God, yes! It’s only happened to me a few times. I was terrified! If I’m tired or not feeling well, I always run the risk of forgetting and having a “Sandra has left the building” moment! The first time was when there was this woman in the front row with a really, really low cut blouse and her, um, incidentals were humongous! I referred to them as ‘weapons of mass distraction’! I was so distracted by them (blame ADD) that I blanked out! Completely blanked! I had to banter with her so I could get back on track! Thankfully, she said she was a stripper and I asked her to come up on stage and show some moves. She did. While she was dancing and people were hooting and hollering, I remembered what joke came next! This is why I always have an outline and I memorize it. You get to work with a lot of lesbian comedians. Who makes you laugh?

Most of them are super funny. But the ones I find extra funny are the ones I have worked with the most. Mimi Gonzalez’s funny, crazy a*s makes me laugh each and every time, on and off stage. I like Amy Tee too. We laugh on the phone every day as well! I also love Julie Goldman, Gloria Bigelow, Poppy Champlin, Karen Williams and Vicki Shaw. What’s your biggest thought just before you go on stage?

There are several. First and foremost, I always have to go to the bathroom right before. It comes on suddenly and without warning! And no, it’s not for a piss. How embarrassing. Secondly, I chant “nam myoho renge kyo” to remember all my material and not blank out! Lastly, I chant to create value. I want to touch and connect with the audience. Is it easier, as an out comedian, to work for a gay audience, like pride fests than working in a mainstream comedy club?

It’s easier to perform for a gay audience because I don’t have to explain certain lesbian clichés. Yet, it’s easier to perform for a Mexican audience because I don’t have to explain Mexican culture clichés. I love working for any and all audiences. Certainly, with a gay audience, I get to work out more of my gay material, which is always a plus. I find my home with every audience. do you write out jokes methodically or do you just roll into it freestyle?

Is there still an adrenaline rush when big laughs happen?

Yes! The rush I experienced from my first successful joke is comparable to the rush I received on stage last night. When the audience and I are on the same page, there’s nothing like it. Is stand up comedy a launching pad for something more, typically?

That depends on the performer. I consider my stand up comedy career to be separate from my acting and writing career. They naturally will overlap at times, but overall, stand up comedy is my first love. If I had my own television show tomorrow, I would still do stand up every week. What’s the best way to handle a heckler?

I’m not sure if there is an across the board answer for that question. Every comic has his or her own style. I try to diffuse the situation as quickly as possible and not anger the audience member. It’s an acquired skill, one that I shouldn’t have to hone, but unfortunately it comes with the job. How do you decide what’s funny? Try it out on friends, write down funny thoughts? Tweets?

Basically, if I find something funny, I’ll write it down on some sort of scrap of paper and most likely find that scrap of paper months later. Every joke I deliver I find stuck to the bottom of my shoe or behind my desk. Then I try it out again and again in front of total strangers and hope it works. If not, I drink a bottle of wine and contemplate applying to grad school. Note to self: hire a handler. Do you have topics that are just off limits or is everything considered “material”?

I have topics that are off limits because I don’t find the subject matter to be interesting or original. I also have a genuine fear of making someone feel uncomfortable or marginalized so I try to keep that in the back of my head when I write. I consider it my job to push boundaries and go into uncomfortable territory, but just not at someone’s expense. WomenFest! Your first? Excited? Very excited! What lesbo doesn’t enjoy being in the middle of a gaggle of fun ladies in Key West? I’m really looking forward to the show! erinfoley.com / welovesandra.com

I write down the story of premise. I tweak it, then get it on its feet and talk it out. I try to record my shows to study what worked and what didn’t. Some jokes come out exactly as they should sound. They require the perfect wording and inflection. Others, I have to talk it out, hear it and see how they evolve.

[ erin foley ] You’ve worked all over the map, west coast to east coastwhere are you most comfortable?

I think the key word in that question is coast. My comedy is definitely better received on the coasts, rather than in the middle of the country. I’ve had a lot of fun performing in the heartland. However, being in front of a more liberal, gay friendly crowd is much more enjoyable. Still to this day, my favorite place to perform is New York City. What was your family’s reaction when you decided to become a stand up comedian?

Terror. Shock. Awe. Confusion. Support. Confusion. Support. Bewilderment. Confusion. Acceptance. All of which have led to my parents calling me once a week with really bad jokes that I should include in my “skits”. Adorable.

Específicamente me refiero al episodio: “Our America with Lisa Ling: Pray The Gay Away?”.

Fun Under The Sun in Ft. Lauderdale • April 2004 Before the Rain by Luisita Lopez Torregrosa Set during the fall of Ferdinard Marcos in 1980s Philippines, Before the Rain follows newspaper editor Torregrosa as she falls in love with a fellow writer. The two struggle to maintain their relationship against a backdrop of shifting politics and an unforgettable adventure. Torregrosa’s tone is full of longing and her approach to history is clear-eyed, even as her heart is breaking.

Take Me There edited by Tristan Taormino There’s no way I could not love a book of erotica that included both the works of blogger Sinclair Sexsmith (“The Hitchiker”) and Canadian storyteller Ivan Coyote (“Hold Up”). Take Me There highlights the diversity and intelligence of transgender or genderqueer erotica. The best thing about this steamy and smart collection is that each story is different from the last, down to Patrick (formerly Pat) Califia’s “Big Gifts in Small Boxes.” It’s about time we had a book like this.

The Best Sex Writing 2012 edited by Susie Bright I’ve loved Susie Bright for years, since I first discovered her writing when I was in college. This collection—like its editor—is a razor sharp, smart, and groundbreaking look at contemporary political and sexual issues. My favorites? Andrea Marcotte’s take on Slutwalk, “Sluts, Walking,” which examines SlutWalk’s main (often misinterpreted) concept: to have a rape free culture; and “An Unfortunate Discharge in My Naval Career,” Tim Elhaijj’s story of a Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell discharge. This collection is intelligent and powerful.

The planets are pushing you out of your comfort zone and into uncharted emotional waters. Prepare to take voyage and expect calm seas with some turbulence. Take personal inventory and notice what’s missing, as well as what is no longer needed. You are driven to be successful in your career, but if you are too aggressive you might start conflicts that are costly in more ways than one.

Your focus is on your finances and how to improve them, as well as improving your professional image and appeal. Network as much as possible to increase your sphere of influence. Release old negative habits, thoughts and patterns so that you are able to enjoy your present circumstance. Be ready to answer yes when opportunity knocks. No second guessing.

pisces feb 20 - mar 20 Your focus should be on maintaining your current relationships, both personal and professional. You are vulnerable to manipulation so don’t allow yourself to be pushed in any direction you really don’t want to go. Network within your sphere of influence with the goal being to benefit your current agenda. Be discerning, rather than judgmental, when selecting new friends and allies. Above all, cooperate and compromise.

You’re highly motivated to improve your life but ‘burning bridges’ before you even have a destination won’t help at all. Don’t dwell on what isn’t working. Use your energy to figure out what changes you can make to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Adopt new ways to do the same old things. Listen instead of just waiting to talk.

You are in huge demand as you are offered invitations and opportunities to get out and strut your stuff. Even though the planets are encouraging you to accept them all, be sure to still take care of business, home and family. Carefully consider which choice(s) will serve you best, and which ones you will regret long after. Know your personal limits. Do some selfanalysis to help you select.

Your hedonistic nature won’t be denied as the planets give you permission to indulge in your wildest fantasies. Be creative in your self-expression and be optimistic about the future as you make new starts with new people and have new opportunities. However, you must always be in charge of your decisions and subsequent actions.

You crave the spotlight as the planets get you all revved up and ready to satisfy your appetite. You’re more aggressive than usual now, and while that might work for some it definitely won’t work for others. Use your abundant charm to get your way instead. Spend quality time, not money, to have the best time ever with all your friends and family.

gemini may 22 - june 21

sagittarius nov 23 - dec 21

You’re focused on your home, family and career, and how to improve your various situations. Thinking is good, doing is better. Once you’ve done the mental and emotional steps that go into creating new goals, implement an action plan to accomplish them. Renovate and restore whatever you can as you make improvements. If others don’t agree, don’t take it personally. Compromise to avoid conflict.

Your usual footloose, non-committal attitude is being replaced with an urge to merge. No worries though, you’ll still enjoy romantic comedy adventures. Only now you’d rather enjoy them with significant others in your life. Decide on where you want to go to from where you are now, in every facet of your life. Remember to include an equal say from everyone involved in the outcome, then compromise.

Focus your energy and thoughts on enhancing your skills and improving yourself as well as your current situation. Explore all the possibilities available to you in new places. Meet new people with new ideas and new opportunities to grow and learn. Be careful not to ignore your loved ones while focusing on your own interests. Share your thoughts and opinions, then be open to suggestions.

Tone it down a tad as your decisive energy is being ramped up to blast any and all opposition. Don’t waste time quelling a rebellion. Be wise to charm and cajole rather than butt heads. Honesty is the best policy; say what you need and want then listen carefully to feedback. Through negotiation and compromise you will achieve a win/win.

You get to do what you love best; analyze, internalize, and fantasize. Just don’t criticize. Make all decisions based on facts, not assumptions or wishes. Do your due diligence. The Universe is challenging you to prove you ‘got it’ by creating vexing situations to see how you’ll cope. Reinvent yourself as a kinder, gentler ruler, using lessons learned, and your kingdom will thrive.
