•Bainum Family Worthy Student Gift For a third year, the Bainum Family Foundation honored its co-founder and family matriarch, alumna Jane (Goyne) Bainum ’38, with a tuition assistance grant for worthy students. Their generous $75,000 legacy gift is life-changing and supported students and their families at the most critical time. THANK YOU, Bainum Family, for your generous leadership investment in worthy students!

Gifts from Individuals (86%)

•2020 Year-End Match Giving Challenge For the sixth year, generous donors pledged to match all unrestricted and worthy student gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $150,000 at year-end. Alumni and Friends, your giving response of $212,390 to the Match Challenge was incredible. Total Match giving was responsible for more than $362,390. What a big difference this made for worthy students. THANK YOU for your consistent, generous support, Match Donor-Investors! •Zirkle Gymnasium Renovation-Addition In addition to sustaining unrestricted and worthy student gifts this school year, you gave another $1,736,080 to the renovation and addition for Zirkle Gymnasium. After Alumni making the prudent decision to pause the project in Summer 2020, the plan was to move forward with 70% construction in the Fall. However, rising costs threatened to cause additional delays. But one of you – a committed and dedicated alumni donor – stepped forward and gave to cover the project shortfall Foundations allowing the Zirkle Gym project to move forward after only a nine-month delay. This progression of $189,320.00 events, we believe, has made this a miracle project and here’s why: Today Zirkle Gym is a fully 6% funded, fixed price contract, ZERO DEBT project, with 96% of gifts given by graduates of SVA! Thank you to leadership donors and ALL who invested in the gift of this wonderful campus Businesses & Church Entities transforming improvement for students!! (See pg. 3) For the 2020-2021 school year, when most needed, your prayers and financial investment for SVA soared!! Your generosity yielded a miraculous result, shoring up this very special school and its precious students in uncertain times. Dear Alumni and Friends, what an incredible difference you make “For Shenandoah, Shenando-ah!” We are so very thankful for you!! With heartfelt appreciation,
