Extra academic qualifications and timetabled lessons In addition to three (or exceptionally four) A Level subjects, L6 girls attend weekly compulsory timetabled lessons in PSHEE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) and Study Skills. The Study Skills course is designed to lead towards the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Most girls submit their EPQ in the autumn of their U6 year, although this is not compulsory. The minority of girls who choose not to submit an EPQ must nevertheless attend Study Skills lessons. Please see page 64 for more information about the EPQ. Girls may also opt to join additional timetabled classes to study for internationally recognised qualifications in: • Chinese: Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) • Film (AS) • French: DELF • German: Goethe Institute • Italian: PLIDA • Maths: Core Mathematics • Spanish: DELE Please see page 47 for information about Core Mathematics and pages 48-49 for more on the Language Proficiency Diplomas.
