The following week, we will again be boiling at the library before attending the APPLE FESTIVAL at ... Little Buffalo State Park on October 19th & 20th.

Apple Butter and fresh pressed cider will be available for pickup at the library starting Tuesday both weeks.

Volunteers to help peel apples and stir the kettles are always WELCOME, even if you’re only able to stop by for an hour or so, we appreciate all the help from anyone who is able. BOIL: The Perry Historians will be making our old-fashioned, all natural Apple Butter again this fall. Boiling will start ahead of Sherman’s Valley Heritage Days at the Lenig-Focht library on October 8th and we will be on site at Heritage

Days October 11th, 12th and 13th. The following week, we will again be boiling at the library starting the October 16th before attending the Apple Festival at Little Buffalo state Park on October 19th and 20th. Apple Butter and fresh pressed cider will be available for pickup at the library starting Tuesday both weeks. Volunteers to help peel apples and stir the kettles are always WELCOME, even if you’re only able to stop by for an hour or so, we appreciate all the help from anyone who is able.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro, who was re-elected in 2020, was ineligible to seek a third term in 2024 due to term limits. However, Shapiro was elected governor in 2022 and resigned as Attorney General upon being sworn in.[2][3] Michelle Henry was confirmed by the Pennsylvania State Senate on March 8, 2023 to serve out the remainder of Shapiro’s term, and has indicated she will not seek election to a full term.[4]

PCCA ANNOUNCES 2024 POETRY AWARD WINNERS Newport, PA—Perry County Council of the Arts (PCCA) is thrilled to announce the winners of the 26th annual Poetic Excellence Awards, juried by author, artist and poet, Christine O’Leary Rockey. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 5, as part of the 41st annual Little Buffalo Festival presented by the Buffalos Volunteer Group at Little Buffalo State Park. Antique tractors and farm equipment, steam engines, gas engines, lawn tractors, and automobiles. Antique car and tractor parades Saturday and Sunday at 1pm. Activities include threshing, straw baling, sawmill, corn shelling, and ensilage cutting. Amish Quilt auction held Saturday at 2pm.
