There will be craft vendors, flea market items, food will be available, entertainment throughout the day,(Innovation Choir 1pm-2pm / Rachel Rocks w/Matt 2pm-3pm. The Fremont Fire Department will be having their annual APPLE HARVEST FESTIVAL on October 7th, 8th & 9th at the Fremont Social Hall 299 Millrace Rd. Mount Pleasant Mills. Feature band is “THE BROKEN RECORD BAND” based out of Juniata, Mifflin, and Perry Counties.They revive the old classic favorites from the styles of bluegrass, country, rock and roll, rhythm and blue and some comedy. Boiling will start ahead of Sherman’s Valley Heritage Days at the LenigFocht library and we will be on site at Heritage Days October 8th, 9th and 10th. The following week, we will again be boiling at the library before attending the Apple Festival at Little Buffalo State Park on October 16th and 17th. Apple Butter and fresh pressed cider will be available for pickup at the library starting Tuesday both weeks. Volunteers to help peel apples and stir the kettles are always welcome, even if you’re only able to stop by for an hour or so, we appreciate all the help from anyone who is able.
