Fourth Street, Newport Running through May 6, this exhibition is a collaboration between poet Melody Davis and printmaker Harold Lohner. Inspired by a selection of Davis’ haiku poems, written daily for more than one year, Lohner carved potatoes to create prints for 150 of the poems. He reassembled the potato prints and colorized them using Adobe Photoshop. During the opening reception on Feb. 10, take in a poetry reading with Davis at 7 p.m. “Off the Page” PCCA Gallery, One S. The Shopper’s Remedy is distributed through local businessses generating more walk in traffic, as the potential customers stops by to pickup their monthly “Remedy” to check out all the bargains they will also check out your business to and hopefully buy what you are offering. The people that pick up The Shopper’s Remedy intend to read it, plus as it is laying around their homes, others pick it up to read it as well so you get even more visibilit per ad dollar invested. The Shoppr’s Remedy Clients benefit from a unique situation in which the readers are as interested in the dis-
play ads as they are in reading the Free Classifides. Your display ad is placed with the classifieds wrapping around it so as the readers search the classifies they can’t help but to see your ad. Thus why the classifieds aren’t in any specific category so the reader has to read the entire paper to catch all the unique bargains.
Advertising is still a total tax write-off. Know you need to advertise but don’t have a clue. We are here to help you come up with ideas.
