Shopping News Photo by Donald Reese Constant rain and melting snow provided the perfect conditions for the Gordonville Mud Sale held recently. Mud was the word of the day and it was as deep as a foot thick in spots, making walking a bit of a challenge. Despite the less than favorable weather, hardy souls from Lancaster County and beyond came out in large numbers to experience this Lancaster County tradition. Mud was so thick that some simply walked right out of their boots as they stayed locked in the powerful suction. It was so wet that even some of the horses were wearing rain gear as shown here with several Amish boys checking out a sale item.
