Douglas N. Lawson

Douglas N. Lawson, 80, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Deering, Missouri to the late Charles and Zula (Griggs) Lawson and was the husband of Mary O. (Corne) Lawson with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.

Douglas proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a self-employed drywall contractor.

Douglas was a member of the Honey Brook American Legion Post #422. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Douglas is survived by two daughters, Cynthia R. Lawson Weaver, wife of Larry L. Weaver, Kelly R. Shirk and companion, Mark E. Johnson; five grandchildren, Christopher, Chad, Nicole, Samantha, and Jackson; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Ashleigh Fitzkee.

A memorial service is being planned for a future date.

Vivian Landis Aichele, 84, Lititz, passed away on Thursday, July 13.

She was the wife of the late Harry T. Aichele.

She is survived by three sons: Bryan Keath, husband of Debra; Kent Keath, husband of Rose, Ephrata; and Brent Keath, husband of Jill, Ephrata; a stepson, David Aichele, husband of Betsy; two stepdaughters: Brenda Aichele Kammerer, wife of Keith, and Tricia Aichele Hillegas; three grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; many greatgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Audrey Long, wife of Randy, Lititz.

She was preceded in death by a son, Webb L. Keath.

Gary L. Good, 57, Leola, passed away on Sunday, July 16.

He is survived by his stepmother, Charlotte M. Good, Ephrata.

Ray W. Snader, 88, husband of Delores E. (Hahn) Snader, formerly of East Earl, passed away on Monday, July 17.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons: Robert R., husband of Ruth (Dentel) Snader; Jeffrey L, husband of Esther (Rissler) Snader; and John G., husband of Patricia (Suarez) Snader; two daughters: Doris J. Snader and Julia A. Snader; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth, husband of Mary Ellen Groff Snader; and two sisters: Faye, wife of Earl Martin, and Kathryn Hurst.

Ruby Lorish Frankhouser, 100, formerly of Terre Hill, passed away on Thursday, July 20.

She was the wife of the late Harry “Bud” Ellsworth Frankhouser.

She is survived by two sons: David, husband of Kim Frankhouser, and Ronald Frankhouser; a daughter, Janet Keiper; and three grandchildren.

Henry A. Kinsinger, 70, husband of Salina H. Peachey Kinsinger, Leola, passed away on Thursday, July 20.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three brothers: Levi, husband of Arie, Prattsburg, New York; Benjamin, husband of Emma, Brownstown; and Samuel, husband of Malinda, Gordonville; and a sister, Lydia, Holtwood.

George J. Rudy, 65, Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, July 20.

He was the husband of the late Marianne T. (Strosser) Rudy.

He is survived by three sons: James, husband of Kara, Los Angeles, Califor- nia; David, husband of Lauren, Pittsburgh; and Joseph, husband of Kelsey, Wexford; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael, and one grandchild.

David Kent Hokenson, 84, Ephrata, passed away on Friday, July 21.

He was the husband of the late Janice Anne (Hopkins) Hokenson.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey, husband of Jodi (Snow) Hokenson, Arcade, New York; a daughter, Kristine, wife of Duane Metzler, Ephrata; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Murray Hokenson; and a sister, Jill Easton.

Jacob E. Holsinger, 96, Ephrata, formerly of Brunnerville, passed away on Friday, July 21.

He was the husband of the late Ethel Hollinger Holsinger and the late Etta Walters Brubaker Holsinger.

He is survived by twin sons: Lowell E., husband of Linda Holsinger, and Robert L. Holsinger; three stepsons: Randy, husband of Martha Brubaker; Sheldon, husband of Sheila Brubaker; and Scott, husband of Jennifer Brubaker; a stepdaughter,

Anita, wife of Sam Soto; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Ida Ann Brubacker, 92, Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, July 22.

She was the wife of the late Luke Brubacker.

She is survived by five sons: Galen, husband of Sadie Brubacker, Mifflinburg; Clyde, husband of Judy Brubacker, Port Treverton; Ralph, husband of Susan Brubacker, Ephrata; Titus, husband of Marlene Brubacker, Ephrata; and Ray, husband of Delores Brubacker, Ephrata; seven daughters: Alice, wife of Rufus Martin, Vandalia, Illinois; Ellen, wife of John Martin, Ephrata; Nancy Martin, Port Treverton; Lilly, wife of Irvin Brubaker, Ephrata; Erla, wife of Wayne Brubaker, Port Treverton; Rosene, wife of Levi Sensenig, Selinsgrove; and Kathryn, wife of Gene Stauffer, Bainbridge, Ohio; 90 grandchildren; 328 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lewis Brubacker; one grandchild; and seven great-grandchildren.
