East Cocalico Lion Of The Year Award Winner
from 08.02.23 issue
Each year the East Cocalico Lions Club honors one of their members with a “Lion of the Year” award. This award is given to a Lion who in the past Lionistic year has been very active in the club, has displayed and believed in the values of Lionism, has provided service to the community and to the club, has shown commitment to the club’s and the association’s motto of “We Serve,” and most of all promoted the Lion Spirit and the ideals of Lionism. This award is extra special because the recipient is selected and voted on by the members of the club.

Recently, the Lions of East Cocalico presented this prestigious award to Lion Mark Janke. Lion Mark has served the club and the community as the “Fry Guy” for many years. He can be found frying those famous delicious East Cocalico Lions French Fries at Cocalico High School Football games and other events where fries are needed.
The members of the East Cocalico Lions, who have been “Lighting the Way” in their community for more than 75 years, would like to thank Lion Mark for exhibiting the values of Lionism and for providing valuable service to the community and to the club. Lion Mark is pictured here, holding his Lion of the Year plaque and being congratulated by Zone Chairperson Chuck Holsey.
