Julia Angot Born in 1999, I live in Paris and Rennes to study sculpture and synthetic materials at the National School of Applied Arts and Crafts, Olivier de Serres. ( Ensaama). I sculpt, illustrate and photograph. It is part of my logic of tension and poeticized the body. The body, the animal cry and the manipulation using materials are themes that animate me. If my creations want to be vectors of messages regarding the vision of the woman, the fragility of nature, or the manipulation between men, I also wish to leave a large place to the aesthetics of the work so that the public has the freedom to be moved as he wishes: in an intellectual or sensory way.

Jennifer Landis Austin, Texas, USA jenlandis72@gmail.com https://www.composedchaosart.com
Jennifer Landis Jennifer Landis is a self-taught artist working with acrylics on canvas. Recently, discovering a love for fluid acrylics, allowing her the freedom as a perfectionist to express herself in abstract form. She sees her abstract artwork as a study in “composed chaos,” inspired by land, water, and sky as well as metallic minerals; nature’s own color palette. She is a nature lover, holding the belief that “beauty is everywhere.” There is no better inspiration for art than the simple beauty of the world around us which is frequently overlooked in this fast-paced world. Jennifer strives to capture this beauty in abstract form through natural color palettes both neutral and with pops of color. Her artwork has a flow that is often described as “relaxing” or “calming” to the senses. At times she adds a bolder element through unexpected color or striking contrast to create a statement piece. Her hope is that her artwork conveys a sense of wonder and inspiration to others.

Linda Louis Short Journey To The Sun, 2019 Oil on Canvas 48 x 36 in $3,750
Linda Louis Huntington, New York, New York, USA linda@lindalouisart.com https://lindalouisart.com
Linda Louis Linda Louis says she is driven to make art every day and that she is always drawn irresistibly to the magnetic pull of the work. Linda says, “In my work, I paint fanciful and mysterious images, metamorphosed from my childhood and my personal history. Without preconception, I take that raw material and construct new visages that take me into an alternative space. I love to be surprised. I hope you do too.” She goes on, “My newest work called ‘Figment’, is a continuation of my life’s creative output. Figment is a virtual ecosphere of abstract images representing a vibrant, yet ultimately fragile Earth presided over by a vast celestial atmosphere. Here Earth, along with our moon, exist as acolytes to the sun as master. This series invites an excursion into the fog of prehistory with watery vegetation just beyond land’s edge to connect with nature and the firmament as it may have been …. unspoiled … unblemished … aboriginal and, at its most elemental, the basis of life at its virgin beginnings. Figment’s objective is to persuade those who would otherwise thoughtlessly disregard the gifts to which Earthlings can become inured … to stimulate a positive influence … inspire an optimistic intention … to increase a feeling of well-being. It strives to reach for the primal kernel of awareness to implore the insensitive to comprehend the value and precariousness of life and the place we call Earth. It is my hope that Figment’s spirit will engender contemplation by those open to the message it brings.“ Linda Louis’s compulsive, commitment to her personal vision, has garnered much praise and attention. Her work hangs in many private and public collections. She is, and has been, represented by prominent New York galleries. Among her many credentials, are curator, art events coordinator, arts organization board member, art teacher and art advisor. Linda received her BA from Adelphi University and MFA from Parson/New School in New York City.

Elena Miller I am originally from St. Petersburg, Russia. I always had a special interest in art. I have been lucky that after moving to US in 19 98 I could focus more on art and developing my hobby. After taking training in ceramics in the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning at the University of Cincinnati, I dedicated myself to a new form of artistic expression ceramics. My strongest inspiration comes from Mother nature and its weathering influences on the shape of trees, rocks, plants and animals both on land and underwater. My ceramics are often hand-built or thrown and altered. I am fascinated with shapes and forms and how they work together with color and texture. It is fascinating to take something essentially flat and turn it into organic form with volume creating a synergy between layered color, texture and movement.

Margaret Minardi Grackle, 2017 Colored Pencil 30 x 22 in $2,000
Margaret Minardi Fort Salonga, New York, USA margaretminardi@yahoo.com https://margaretminardiartist.com
Margaret Minardi Margaret Minardi lived much of her early years in Port of Spain, Trinidad where without television or radio, she was able to foster a vivid imagination. She graduated H.S. in 1978 From Cold Spring Harbor. In her H.S. years she was able to attend The Huntington School Of Fine Arts which gave her a heavy classical, atelier training. She attended S.U.N.Y. Purchase Where she was influenced by the Abstract Expressionists, especially Willem de Kooning. She was a painting major with a minor in lithography. She graduated at the top of her conservatory and in 1982 was awarded the Faculty Award For Drawing And Painting. Minardi received a Masters in Education from Dowling college. The remainder of her eduction has been predominantly self-taught. Margaret Minardi does not have a traditional studio. She works on tables or on the ground wherever she is, sometimes lugging 5 foot canvases around during her work day. She is a an obsessive artist, rarely looking up into the real world. Her series have focused on subjects such as infertility, adoption, identical twins, her upbringing in Trinidad and bi-polar disease. She has struggled through these issues on the substrate in front of her. Most of the time Minardi works in a stream of consciousness, not knowing what a series is about until it is most of the way through it. As a 30 year high school art educator, Minardi has found profound gratification in passing on what she teaches herself to her students. They help to keep her stimulated and excited about art and on top of the latest technology and mediums. She is also a single mother of two of her own, Max and Vanessa. Most of the past 30 years have been spent promoting her students work. Over that time a thousand works of her own art have accumulated in the closet. In January of 2015 a close friend bullied her into taking her work out. Since then she has shown in ver 60 exhibitions that include solo, group, local, national and international venues. Her work continues to win top awards, including Best in Show in many of them. Minardi has also been a panelist and guest speaker at places like the Heckscher Museum and Saint Joseph’s College. She has been a grant recipient, A juror and an Artist in Residence.
Curator Review: Grackle Settled against a dark gray background of mottled paint and paper, a whimsical story unfolds in ‘Grackle’. Minardi’s delicate brushstrokes, sprinkled details and illustrative symbolism is both intimate and affecting. From the merging portrait of the painter, to the blended shadows of the eggs and birds, a visual fusing and method of birth and release is being communicated here. This bold perspective and transfixing piece generously prevails in extending a private peek into the method of the singular artist Margaret Minardi. - E.E. Jacks

Bryan Northup Red Tide, 2017 Found Single Use Plastic and Foam 30 x 40 in $3,800
Bryan Northup Oak Park, Illinois, USA artistbryannorthup@gmail.com https://www.bryannorthup.com
Bryan Northup Bryan Northup is a Chicago based environmental artist who graduated from California College of the Arts in Oakland, California 1998 and since 2008 lives in Chicago. As an environmental artist, Bryan uses single-use plastics and foam that litter our daily lives to create wall relief and sculpture works that mimic and abstract food. His current work forces an interaction with the ubiquitous plastics of modern life, manipulating the viewer’s appetites while recording a material fingerprint that alludes to contemporary social values.
Curator Review: Red Tide This dynamic piece by artist Bryan Northup absolutely bursts with color and texture. A sensation of freedom and cohesion sets in motion his energetic palette and individual forms. Gathered together these intricate elements begin to biomorph within the mind of the viewer, conjuring up thoughts of a ‘cellular sea’ and blooms of algae as the title suggests. Perhaps this highly imaginative and significant work, is a metaphoric reflection on impermanence and change. - E.E. Jacks

Ira Stein Listen, I can’t do pretty art. If the world needs more seascapes, landscapes, and still lifes - I’m out! My work concerns big issues that are difficult to talk about – sexual and physical abuse, social responsibility and the dumbing down of society. I believe in genetic essentialism – that certain human conditions are connected to a particular gene (or set of genes). This is not a politically correct standpoint, but I ask you, can you think of something that can happen without your genes? You see, my art tells the stories of the relationships between me and my models. Before one brushstroke is put to canvas, I need to know absolutely everything about her. My artistic process requires time and a commitment to paint the unmediated truth discovered during this close relationship. It is an agonizing process but I am compelled to continue asking difficult questions.
