Context
Ryan has designed flatpack D.I.Y furniture that he is batch producing as part of his final year work. The pack comes with 6 solid pieces of square wood, a pack of cable ties and a pair of pliers. The chair can be easily assembled by anyone, and would suit the home of somebody interested in skateboarding and other extreme sports. Ryan is also incorporating illustration into the product by sreen printing a selection of drawings, by himself and by guest artists, onto the panels of the seat. Brief or Tasks
I am going to work in collaboration with him to design and develop the packaging and promotion for his business which he has called Bamdoodle, this will also include the branding and identity for ‘Bamdoodle’. As Sam Hoh is working on developing Ryan’s professional identity, I am going to be working closely with him to see if we can make the 2 briefs –somewhat- visually consistent, so that it is obvious the ‘Bamdoodle’ is an extension of ‘Ryan Smith’.
