I hide my tears when I say your name, but the pain in my heart is still the same, Although I SMILE and SEEM carefree, NO ONE misses you more than me!
REMEMBERING PHILIP MCCARRON CHRISTIE
Philip McCarron Christie, fondly known as PJ, entered the world on November 21, 1999, in the peaceful suburb of San Andros. His arrival brought immense joy to his parents, Lovan Christie and Philip Christie Sr., now deceased. PJ was a bright, handsome baby, and as he grew, his quiet yet pleasant demeanor became a cherished part of his character. His family and those around him recognized early on that PJ had a calm and reserved personality, which left a lasting impression on those he encountered.
PJ spent his early years in San Andros, where he attended Clara E. Evans Primary School, previously known as Nicoll’s Town Primary School. His journey through primary school was marked by diligence and dedication, as he quietly navigated the world of academics he excelled in every subject displaying a talent for learning that came naturally. After completing his primary education, he attended Huntley Christie High, a school known for shaping the young minds of North Andros. PJ’s time at Huntley Christie High, also known as North Andros High, was filled with the experiences and challenges that come with adolescence. However, through it all, he remained the same quiet, kind-hearted individual, respected by his peers and teachers, and excelled academically becoming a prefect and head boy and entering the bridge builders competition where he was the lead designer.
Faith played an important role in PJ’s upbringing. His family regularly attended services at Mt. Pisgah Trinity Baptist Church in Conch Sound, a spiritual foundation that nurtured PJ’s personal growth and moral compass. Worship was not just a Sunday routine for PJ; it was a way of life, instilling in him values of compassion, integrity, and community.
After graduating from high school, PJ ventured beyond the serene shores of San Andros in search of employment. The bustling city promised opportunities, and PJ was eager to find his place in the working world. He had always been someone who enjoyed working with his hands, and he relished the opportunity to engage in physically demanding work, getting dirty, and solving practical problems. His love for manual labor and fixing things led him to several different job opportunities.
One of PJ’s early employments was with AUTEC, a company involved in military and research operations. His time there allowed him to develop valuable technical skills and expand his understanding of complex systems. Following this, PJ worked with Hutchison Port FCP, gaining experience in port operations and logistics. He was also employed with a local construction company, HCC Construction, where he learned more about the construction trade and refined his ability to work with various materials and tools.
In addition to these formal employment opportunities, PJ also pursued his passion for mechanics. He set up a home-based auto mechanic business, where he worked on cars for friends, family, and members of the community. His reputation as a skilled and trustworthy mechanic grew, and his work became a source of pride for him. His hands-on experience with machinery, combined with his natural curiosity, made him a sought-after figure for those in need of reliable auto repair services.
PJ also took part in a training program with Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) as a Technician Engineer, furthering his
technical knowledge and expanding his skill set in the electrical field. This program allowed him to diversify his abilities and opened doors to more career opportunities.
Through his work and personal pursuits, PJ continued to embody the values instilled in him from childhood. His quiet strength, dedication to his family, and commitment to his faith and community defined his life, making him a beloved figure in both San Andros and beyond. Though he is no longer with us, the memory of PJ’s calm and reserved personality will be remembered by those he loved, until the day we meet again. Rest in peace, PJ.

REMEMBERING
D’ Angelo Kendis Christie
D’Angelo Kendis Christie, affectionately known as Argie, was born on April 13, 2004, in the quiet, serene suburb of San Andros. His birth brought immense joy to his parents, Lovan Christie and the late Philip Christie Sr., and he would grow into a bright, loving kind-hearted young man who left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
As a child, Argie was quiet and pleasant, embodying a calm and thoughtful nature. He attended Clara E. Evans Primary School, formerly Nicoll’s Town Primary School, where he quickly excelled academically. Argie was deeply admired for his dedication to his studies and for following in the footsteps of his elder brothers. He was named head boy of the school, a position that reflected not
only his academic excellence but also his leadership abilities and strong moral character. His teachers and peers recognized him as a dependable and hardworking student, qualities that continued to define him throughout his life.
After completing primary school, Argie attended Huntley Christie High, where he further distinguished himself as a diligent student. His passion for the environment began to emerge during his high school years, and this interest would shape his future. Upon graduating from Huntley Christie High, Argie pursued higher education at BAMSI College (Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute), where he excelled in his studies, graduating with an associate’s degree with distinction in Environmental Science. His love for nature and the environment led him to further certification as a nature tour guide, a path that allowed him to merge his academic interests with hands-on, practical experiences in the natural world.
Family and faith played a central role in Argie’s life. He cherished the time he spent with his mother and two elder brothers, and they worshipped together as a family at Mt. Pisgah Trinity Baptist Church in Conch Sound. His deep connection to his faith provided him with a strong foundation of values, which he carried with him into all aspects of his life, from his relationships to his professional endeavors.
After completing his studies at BAMSI, Argie faced the challenge of finding employment in Andros, a difficulty that prompted him to venture to Nassau, where his elder brothers had also gone in search of work. Despite the uncertainties, Argie remained optimistic, and soon after arriving in Nassau, he secured his first job with Distructo Pest Control as a pest controller. This role, though different from his academic background, provided Argie with valuable hands-on experience, allowing him to work closely with nature and the environment in a practical way. He loved his job, finding joy in the challenges it presented and satisfaction in helping his clients.
Argie’s humble, respectful, and gentle demeanor left a lasting impression on those he worked with. His clients quickly recognized his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and genuine passion for his work, earning him their respect and admiration. Though his time in the workforce was brief, the impact he made on the lives of his clients and colleagues was profound.
Tragically, D’Angelo was called home to be with the Lord after
only a few months in his new role, leaving behind a deep void in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. His life, though short, was filled with purpose, kindness, and love. Argie will be forever missed, but his legacy of humility, hard work, and faith will live on in the memories of those he touched. Rest in peace, Argie, until we meet again.

DISMISSAL OF THE BODIES
RECESSIONAL HYMN | How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sound
How sweet the name of Jesus sounds In a believer’s ear!
It soothes his sorrows, heals his wounds, And drives away his fear.
It makes the wounded spirit whole And calms the troubled breast; ’Tis manna to the hungry soul, And to the weary, rest.
Dear Name! The rock on which I build, My Shield and Hiding Place, My never-failing Treasury filled With boundless stores of grace!
Jesus! my Shepherd, Husband, Friend, My Prophet, Priest, and King; My Lord, my Life, my Way, my End, Accept the praise I bring.
Weak is the effort of my heart, And cold my warmest thought; But when I see Thee as Thou art, I’ll praise Thee as I ought.
Till then I would thy love proclaim With every fleeting breath, And may the music of thy name Refresh my soul in death.
COMMITTAL OF BODIES | Pastor Troy Miller and Bishop Samuel Fowler
HYMN | Glad Reunion Day
There will be a happy meeting in heaven I know, When we see the many loved ones we’ve known here below; Gather on the blessed hilltops with hearts all aglow, That will be a glad reunion day.
Chorus
Glad (That will be a happy day) day, Yes, a wonderful day, Glad (That will be a happy day) day, Yes, a glorious day, There with all the holy angels and loved ones to stay, That will be a glad reunion day.
There within the holy city, we’ll sing and rejoice, Praising Christ the blessed Savior with heart and with voice; Tell Him how we came to love Him and make Him our choice, That will be a glad reunion day.
When we live a million years in that wonderful place, Basking in the love of Jesus, beholding His face, It will seem but just a moment of praising His grace, That will be a glad reunion day.
COMMITTAL PRAYER | Pastor Troy Miller and Bishop Samuel Fowler
COMMITTAL OF THE BODIES | Pastor Troy Miller and Bishop Samuel Fowler
HYMN | It Is Finished
There’s a line that is drawn through the ages On that line stands an old rugged cross On that cross, a battle is raging To gain a man’s soul or its loss
Chorus
It is finished, the battle is over It is finished, there’ll be no more war It is finished, the end of the conflict It is finished and Jesus is Lord
HYMN | Abide With Me
Abide with me; fast falls the eventide: The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide: When other helpers fail, and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day; Earth’s joys grow dim, its glories pass away; Change and decay in all around I see: O thou who changest not, abide with me.
On one side, march the forces of evil All the demons, all the devils of hell On the other, the angels of glory And they meet on Golgotha’s hill
The earth shakes with the force of the conflict And the sun refuses to shine For there hangs God’s son, in the balance And then through the darkness, he cries.
I need thy presence every passing hour; What but thy grace can foil the tempter’s power? Who like thyself my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.
I fear no foe with thee at hand to bless; Ills have no weight and tears no bitterness. Where is death’s sting? Where, grave, thy victory? I triumph still if thou abide with me.
Hold thou thy Cross before my closing eyes; Shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies: Heaven’s morning breaks and earth’s vain shadows flee; In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
PHILIP CHRISTIE (MASTER CHRISTE) THE CROWN ON MY HEAD
A Tribute to My Firstborn Son, Philip Christie (Master Christie)
My dear PJ, you were truly the crown on my head, my firstborn son, my pride, and my joy. From the moment you entered this world, you filled my heart with a love so profound, so overwhelming, that even today, I struggle to find words that do justice to the depth of my feelings for you.
away from anything I asked of you. From paying bills to buying groceries, from fixing things around the house to repairing our car, you did it all. You cared for your brothers, making sure they were safe and looked after. You worked so hard, Philip, and because of you, our family survived the toughest of times. You were the glue that held us together. You never shied away from any task, no matter how big or small.
You were a light in my life, excelling in everything you did, whether academically or at work. Your dedication, determination, and love for your family were awe-inspiring. Even when you had dreams of your own, you always put me and your brothers first. Your selflessness knew no bounds. I would have gladly given my life for you, Philip, just as you gave yours for us.
You took away my shame, my son. For many believed that I could never conceive again after Simone, with the 11 long years between you two. People whispered, doubted, and questioned, but God had His plan. He knew what He was doing when He blessed your father and me with you. You were our miracle, a treasure sent from heaven, and the joy you brought to us both was beyond measure. You healed my heart and brought light where there was once doubt.
You were the treasure of your father’s heart, a bond that could never be broken. He loved you beyond words, and he blessed you with hands that could do anything. He always said you would eat by the work of your own hands, and how right he was. Even as a young child, you worked with a sense of purpose and responsibility far beyond your years. At the tender age of just 4 years and 11 months, you became the man of the house, taking on duties that no child should ever have to bear. Yet, you did it all with grace, without a single complaint. You never told me no, never turned
Now, as I sit here writing this tribute, tears fall freely, and the ache in my heart feels unbearable. Who will dry my tears now? Who will call me late at night to check on me, to make sure I’m okay? I wish with all my heart that I could trade places with you. The pain of losing you is a wound that will never heal.
Our bond was built on love, trust, and devotion. Your father groomed you to be the man of the house, to care for your family, and you did it all with such grace and strength. PJ, my sweet boy, I am so blessed and grateful for all the love and support you gave me throughout your life. You will always be in my heart, forever cherished, and forever missed. I have to move on to Capi and Argie now. They’ll tease me if I don’t, saying I favored you—Lol—but they know, just as I do, that no one can ever replace you. Please, my love, watch over me as you always did. Protect me from above, because I am so weak without you. Until the day we meet again, my beloved son. Love always, Mommy
Capi, my radiant star, my source of strength and energy, you were the power behind the crown. From the moment you were born, you filled our home with joy, resilience, and a spirit that couldn’t be contained. You were the go-getter of the family, always full of energy, and your playful, kind-heartedness touched us all. You wanted to be like your older brother, but you were always so much more in your own right.
Your father and I couldn’t stop smiling when we looked at you. He cherished you for your strength, size, and the way you grew so quickly. At just five months old, you were already eating sausage and rice, and from that moment, you were no longer a baby. You grew rapidly and excelled beyond your years, in ways that constantly surprised us. Academically, you soared, achieving so much alongside your brothers. I still remember when you and PJ asked to take the free BTVI training in 2011, even though you were still in primary school. You were so young, but your hunger for knowledge and success was fierce. You wanted to learn, achieve, and take care of me—and that’s exactly what you did.
Your father blessed you to lead the family, and you rose to the challenge with strength and grace. You were the first of my sons to move out of the house. I remember crying when you left, begging you to come back home, but you were determined. You told me, “Mommy, what is there for me to do in Andros? Someone has to get a foothold in the city.” Your wisdom was beyond your years. You knew that by setting up in the city, you
could help me when I needed to be there, giving me a place to stay and someone to drive me to appointments. You kept your promise, Capi. You found an apartment and eventually sent for your brothers, Argie being the last to join you. You were the wind beneath my wings, always thinking ahead and pushing everything into place for our family.
I can’t think of you without tears, remembering how you gave me hope for a new beginning. You were one of the first of my sons to drive me around Nassau and even the United States, making me feel proud beyond words. You were everything I wasn’t—fearless, bold, and determined. You took on challenges like a man, never backing down. You gave me the gift of a wonderful daughter-inlaw who continues to love and support me, and I will forever cherish that.
I’ll never forget the day you bought a beautiful new Jeep and told me to come to Nassau. You insisted I call my insurers for a discount and we went to road traffic together. You drove me in style as if you were showing the world the love and pride you had for your mother. I never imagined that you would leave me so soon, so suddenly. But in the short time we had together, you brought me immense joy and happiness.
I will miss your cooking, your laughter, and the way you showed love as only you could. You were my son, my hero, my winner in every way. If I could turn back time, I would hold you close as my sweet, bold baby forever. You will live on in my heart, always.
Mommy loves you, now and forever.
TRIBUTE TO DANGELO CHRISTIE
A Tribute to D’Angelo K. Christie: My Sunshine Argie, my last born, the joy of your father’s old age, and the love that brought our family together — how do I put into words the weight of this loss? You were not just my child, you were the glue that held our family close. From the moment you entered this world, we all took turns nurturing you and caring for your every need. Showered with love and kisses, you were spoiled by all of us, but we didn’t mind. You were our sunshine, the brightest light in our lives, the fairest among your siblings, and we couldn’t help but bicker over you, each of us wanting to be closer to you.
I cherished every second with you, Argie. You were always by my side, and I wanted you there. The baby of the family, you brought a kind of joy that only you could give. As you grew, you became more than just my child. You were a reader, a mathematician, and a collegian. But beyond your academic gifts, you were a gentle soul, filled with love and kindness for everyone you embraced. You had a heart so big that anyone who met you could feel it.
Your hugs — oh, how I miss those. You were the hugger, always ready with open arms to comfort me and those around you. You knew how to listen, really listen, and that’s a gift so rare. When I had my emotional moments, you were always there to comfort me, without judgment or impatience. You were obedient, even when I asked too much, always putting others first. You made it seem easy, and I admired you for that. After college, you became my travel companion. Every time I had an appointment in Nassau, you were there, ready to join me on the four-hour boat ride. It was during those trips that we shared some of our most intimate moments — moments of laughter, deep conversation, and quiet comfort. You hugged me when I needed it most, sitting by my side as the boat swayed with the waves. I never felt alone because I had you. You were my strength, my comfort, and my constant companion. Now, as I sit here writing this tribute, tears fill my eyes. My heart aches to know that you are no longer here to comfort me, to listen to me, or to hold me when I go through my emotional ups and downs. The house feels so empty without your presence, and the boat rides, should I ever take one again, will never be the same. I cry every day, missing my baby boy, the one I sheltered and protected. I wish I could have kept you and your brothers close to me forever, shielded from the world. If only I could have seen the future, maybe things would have been different. But only God can mend this broken heart. I know you are watching over me now, from a place of peace, and that one day we will meet again. Until then, my sweet Argie, take your rest. Mommy loves you, and I always will. Rest in peace, my sunshine.
My Dearest brothers PJ, Capi, and Deangelo
Words cannot begin to express how devastated I am that you all lost your lives so tragically, so young. September 2nd was a day that I felt my heart break into so many pieces but I know Jehovah Shammah to be near to the brokenhearted as in Psalm 34:18 and so I trust Him to hold my broken heart in the palm of His hands.
Although this news has been a hard pill for all of us to swallow, I choose to remember and honor your lives, light, and legacy.
I may not understand it now, but God knows all things. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is still in control and I give HIM thanks and praise that you were here, you were loved, and your lives made meaning to me, our families and everyone who came in contact with you. You were three Christie Kings full of life, love, light and laughter.
When our father passed away you were all so tenderly young. I remember the devastation I felt then and your passing has made it so very fresh all over again. I remember hugging you all and thanking God that the (male) figure of my Father was still here to remind me of him.
You represented him well in ways I never thought I needed. In PJ, I saw my Dad’s quiet spirit. He spoke in that softspoken, kind-hearted voice, so humble, so mannerly, so focused, so wise beyond his years.
In Capi, I saw my dad’s tall height and frame, his carefree love for life. You were so strong and so determined.
In Deangelo, I saw my Dad’s intelligence, effortless diligence and academic excellence that would be a force to reckon with. You were all fine, outstanding, Androsian, Gentlemen. We are all grateful to your mom Lovan that raised you well. I hold on to the memories of the summer PJ and Capi spent with me before I moved abroad. We had such a great time. We laughed, we made it through some tough times and we loved hard. We got to know each other better and I will always treasure those moments.
My Three Brothers, you had so much to live for. Your big sis, was so proud of your achievements and successes. You were making your mark in the world and even in this, you will never be forgotten. Rest on with daddy, Kings. Your sisters and I will love you forever.
Your Big Sis, Tiya
TRIBUTE TO MY BROTHERS
Pj, D’Caprio & D’Angelo my heart still ache with sadness and many tears still flow. What it meant to lose you guys, no one will ever know. Of all the special gifts in life, however great or small, to have you as my brothers were the greatest gift of all. May the winds of love blow slowly and whisper in your ear that I love and miss you and wish you were here. The bond we created since our fathers passing, those out of the blue questions on dating, us cracking up (lol) and checking in on each other will be missed. Your life is kept to love and cherish and never to forget. No more tomorrows we can share but yesterdays are always there. A silent thought, a secret tear keeps your memory ever near. Forever and always in my heart
Love, Phaedra
We never spoke or saw each other every day, but when we did, the love and emotion were always there, unspoken but deeply felt. Whether we were arguing over our differences, sharing excitement about a new show or game, or bonding over our love for movies, we had a connection that only we could understand. That bond, that love we all shared, is what makes this pain unbearable. The thought that I can never pick up the phone to check on you all again breaks my heart in ways I never imagined.
Even though I can no longer hear your voices, I know you can hear mine. I will continue to talk to you all, just like I always have because you live on in my heart. I’m going to live and celebrate life for all of you, carrying you with me in everything I do.
To Pj, my first love, you will live on as my strength. You were a lion of a man, fierce and protective, and I will draw from your courage to keep moving forward.
To Capi, my second love, you will live on as my balance. You had a way of putting everything together just right, and I will rely on that sense of order and calm in the days ahead.
To Argie, my greatest love, you will live on in my heart. Your nurturing spirit and willingness to go above and beyond for the people you love will stay with me always. I love y’all with all my heart.
Your loving sister Simone

TRIBUTE TO MY KING D’CAPRIO
Words can’t capture the depth of loss I feel, but they can remind me of the love and memories we shared. You were not just hardworking; you gave everything you had to the people and passions that meant the most to you. I saw the sacrifices, the late nights, the endless effort you poured into everything you touched. You carried so much on your shoulders, yet you never let it weigh down your heart. You were a man of immense strength, but it was your love that I cherished most. You always found time to care, to listen, and to make me feel seen and valued, no matter how busy life became. Your kindness was boundless, your presence a comfort like no other. You taught me what love truly means, and you gave me more than I could ever have asked for. Even though you’re gone, your spirit remains in everything I do. The memories of your laughter, your warmth, and your gentle touch will never fade. I carry you with me always—in my heart, in the lessons you taught me, and in the love that will never die. Thank you for being the love of my life. I miss you more than words can say, but I find peace knowing that you are at rest and that your hard work and love will continue to shine through everyone who knew you.
I will love you forever.
Lauryn
TRIBUTE PJ TO MY LOVE,
Never in a million years, I thought that this day would come. We always planned on growing old & miserable together, and because of you my mindset and behavior have changed drastically over the years. I could still hear you telling noisy me “Aye aye, bring your lil tail over here, their problems ain’t got nothing to do with us.”
Philip, you were my soulmate and best friend. I thank God for the memories we shared together, the laughter, the talks, and the moments we just sat in each other’s presence thinking. You were the best man any woman would dream of having. You were not a romantic person but often tried to be for me. A man who knows what he wants and goes after to achieve it. A man of patience, integrity, and well educated that never lets anyone tell you that you could not.
For every difficult day, a conversation listening to your unique laugh would erase it. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, being the man, I needed, being my backbone, and never giving up. Our love will forever remain the same; strong and passionate. Your last words to me will always travel with me “Yeah boy, of course this gonna be a big wedding.”
Until we meet again, My Prince Charming. From Your One & True Love, Tamia A.

A Farewell Poem for Our Beloved Nephews
In the quiet of the evening, we gather here today, To honor three bright stars who’ve gently slipped away. With laughter and with love, you filled our days with light, But now, our hearts are heavy, as we say our last goodnight.
Oh, dear nephews, how we miss your radiant smiles, The way you brought us joy and laughter, across the miles. Your spirits shone like sunshine, your hearts were pure and true, In every precious moment, we were blessed to know you.
Though you’ve left this earthly realm, your love will never fade, In every tear we shed for you, your memory will invade. We’ll hold you close within our hearts, through each and every day, Your laughter will resonate in the stories that we say.
As we walk through life without you, we promise to be strong, To carry forth your legacy, to keep your spirits long. In every breeze that whispers, in every star above, We’ll find a piece of each of you, we’ll feel your endless love.
So rest now, dear nephews, in peace, with angels by your side, Until we meet again someday, with arms open wide. You’ll always be our treasures, our hearts forever true— In our dreams and memories, we will always love you.

A TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED COUSINS
My heart is broken beyond words. Phillip Jr, D’Caprio and D’Angelo, my three little cousins—my brothers in spirit—are no longer with us, and the weight of that reality is unbearable.
I watched each of you grow, from boys with wide-eyed wonder to young men who were full of promise. You were a light in this family, bringing laughter, joy, and a sense of togetherness that we all cherished. I still remember your innocent smiles, your mischievous laughter, and the way you looked at life with such hope and adventure in your eyes.
Each of you was so special in your own way. Phillip Jr, you had the biggest heart. Always the first to offer a helping hand or a kind word, you were the protector, the one who looked out for everyone. D’Caprio, your humor could light up the darkest room. You had this way of making everyone feel at ease, no matter how heavy the world seemed. And D’Angelo], the youngest—you had a spirit so full of life, like you were ready to take on the world and make it your own.
But now, that light, that joy, that boundless energy is gone, and all that remains is the emptiness your absence has left behind. I would give anything to hear your laughter one more time, to see your faces light up with excitement about the future. I never imagined a world where you wouldn’t be here with us.
You three were not just my cousins—you were my little brothers. I loved you as such, and I always will. I feel robbed, knowing I won’t get to see you grow into the men I knew you would become. The future was bright for all of you, and it feels cruel that it was taken away in the blink of an eye.
As I sit here, trying to make sense of it all, I am overwhelmed with memories of our time together. I remember the family gatherings, the inside jokes, the way you looked up to me, and how proud I was to call you my family. I can only hope that wherever you are, you’re together, still looking out for each other like you always did.
There are no words that can ease this pain, and no words that can truly capture how much you meant to me, to your parents, and to everyone who was lucky enough to know you. The world is a little dimmer now without you in it, and I will carry the sorrow of your loss with me for the rest of my life.
Rest in peace, my sweet cousins. I will love you, always.
Abria
