The President
It is with a tremendous sense of gratitude that I am able to serve the body of Christ in this manner. At Jireh Manna Productions International (JMI), it is our honor to host events which uplifts the downtrodden, honor the poor and to give hope to the lost. Our Church and Organization Excellence Award Luncheon, is designed to bring recognition to those labourers who are oftentimes overlooked. It is our hope, that this small gesture of appreciation, will indeed inspire these workers and supporters to continue to build the kingdom and the nation at large.

At JMI, we believe in serving the Lord with gladness and excellence. It is anticipated, that ministry workers across denominational and organizational divide will participate and share in this occasion with us. We are especially pleased to host, as has become customary for us, our special guest of honors from the Great Commission Ministries, Elijah Hilltop Ministries and Straw Inc. These are our charitable partners and we are committed to their cause. On behalf of all of the principals of Jireh Manna Productions International, I wish to congratulate all of our recipients of our Excellence Award. This year we have added two new categories. This is our Lifetime Achievement Award and our Mentorship Award. Our Lifetime Award will be given to a very distinguished community advocate activist, Bishop Walter Hanchell and our Mentorship Award will be given to a very honourable and competent mentor, Prophetess Joan E. Laing. I want to thank all of our covenant partners and volunteers who have made tremendous sacrifice to make this event successful. May God bless us all.

He rose from humble beginnings in his native Bahamas to become a recognized leader in his field. This former track and field star is a much sought after motivational speaker. Bishop Walter S. Hanchell was born and raised in Nassau Bahamas. He is the Founder and President of Great Commission Ministries International, a global mission organization that plants churches, orphanages, homeless shelters, feeding centres and various ministries around the world. Bishop Hanchell also serves as the Presiding Bishop of People’s Assembly Fellowship of Churches, with branches in South-East Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Bishop Walter S. Hanchell is an Apostle to the nations, a Gatekeeper to the city and a Preacher of Righteousness. He has a passion for lost souls and founded the National Soulwinners Network whose major goal is to establish branches in every nation around the world.

Bishop Walter Hanchell is a recipient of the Order of Merit Award, which was presented at the historic first annual Bahamas National Honours Ceremony by the Governor General on National Heroes Day 2018. Bishop Hanchell won the 2018 Bahamas Icon Award for Humanitarian efforts. He is also the recipient of numerous awards including the JCN Civil Society Award, The Global Vision Award and The National Men’s Award for Christian Ministry and Social Development. Bishop Hanchell serves as the Chairman of “Citizens For Justice Bahamas”, an organization that fights for the rights of victims of injustice and for persons oppressed. He is an advocate for the poor. The Bishop founded “The Children’s Club” that reaches out to underprivileged and at-risk children and teenagers. He is also a conference speaker and has conducted seminars for Pastors and Church Leaders around the world. “Live to Give Bahamas” was organized by Bishop Hanchell to empower our youth and young entrepreneurs with anti-crime and anti-poverty initiatives through education and financial aid. Bishop Hanchell has led numerous mission trips to various countries including Kenya, Ghana, India, Tanzania, Nigeria, Bangladesh, The Turks and Caicos Islands, Jamaica, The Dominican Republic and Cuba. He has trained many persons in Evangelism and World Missions. He is a graduate of St. Augustine’s College and the Haggai Institute in Singapore. A nationalist, Bishop Hanchell has served on a number of Governmental and Civic Boards. He was appointed as a Justice of the Peace and a Marriage Officer by the Government of the Bahamas. Bishop Hanchell is married to Elder Minalee Hanchell and is the proud father of four children: Bishop Tejado Hanchell, Dr. Tamalia Gibson, Damon and Ruben. An avid sports fan, he enjoys boxing, basketball and track and field. The Bishop has many spiritual sons and daughters.
