GUILLAUME

Documentary Fine Arts photographer and Photojournalist “ MENTION MY NAME AND MY MEMORIES COME ALIVE” @M.GUILLAUME

In the delicate balance of life’s symphony, Ms. Margaret R. Guillaume orchestrated her existence with the finesse of a skilled photographer, capturing moments that danced gracefully to the light she so meticulously set with her camera. Born as the youngest of six siblings to Francois Guil-laume and Madge Antonio Wood Guillaume, she graced this world on February 11, 1948, com-pleting the family portrait with her radiant presence.

Miss Guillaume’s life journey mirrored the artistry of her beloved camera, which she adeptly used to capture moments with precision and grace. By adjusting the shutter speed and lighting to perfection, she crafted images that showcased the world’s beauty and revealed her soul’s profound depths.

Her journey was one of intense dedication and unwavering

commitment to her passions and principles. A stalwart vegetarian, she embraced life with a vigor that belied her seventy-six years, embodying health, vitality, and an insatiable curiosity for the world around her.

She epitomized strength, efficiency, energy, keen observation, and self-reliance. Her inquisitive nature and love for conversation were matched only by her honesty, integrity, and perfectionist mindset. A true perfectionist, she pursued excellence tirelessly until achieving her desired out-come.

Her life reflected the profound influence of Christian principles, as exemplified in 1 Corinthians 13, which guided her journey. Love, the cornerstone of her being, illuminated her interactions with patience, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to protect and preserve those she held dear.

Descended from a lineage of devout Seventh-Day Adventists and nurtured in a household where Sabbath traditions flourished, the tenets of her faith deeply influenced Miss Guillaume’s formative years. As a third-generation Seventh-Day Adventist, she inherited a legacy of devotion that spans generations. Her great-grandparents, Charles W. Antonio and Mary Griffith Antonio were missionaries who, along with her grandmother Evangeline Antonio Wood, personally and financially established Sabbath Keeping and the Seventh-day Adventist Denomination in the Colony of the Bahamas,

pioneering the movement on their homestead. Guided by her missionary grandmother, who carried the message to Eleuthera, she wholeheartedly embraced these principles, shaping her life with unwavering faith and commitment to her beliefs.

Alongside her siblings, she embodied the unity and strength that stemmed from their shared faith. Throughout her existence, Her actions spoke volumes about her commitment to Christian values, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Miss Guillaume’s personality was characterized by a firm yet loving approach rooted in self-discovery and service to her family and community. As a devoted aunt, she played a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding her nieces and nephews and instilling in them etiquette and values of elegance, poise, and respect for people and the finer things in life. She did the same with her grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.

Her influence extended beyond mere instruction; she led by example, ensuring that her expectations were met with unwavering discipline and adherence to etiquette. Her siblings respected and honored her wishes, recognizing the depth of her commitment to the upbringing of their children.

Miss Guillaume’s dedication to her family’s well-being was evident in her guidance. From organizing outings to teaching the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, she spared no effort in shaping their character and instilling a sense of pride in their heritage.

Though stern at times, her love and care for her nieces and nephews were unwavering. She sought to impart practical skills and a deep appreciation for their cultural and historical background.

Her legacy as a disciplinarian, mentor, and nurturer will endure, a testament to her profound impact on those fortunate enough to have been under her guidance.

Miss Guillaume’s love for photography was more than a hobby—it was a lifelong passion that brought joy to all who beheld her stunning images. Her talent was unparalleled, from her early days with a pin box camera to mastering the art of black-and-white photography in her darkroom.

Miss Guillaume’s artistic odyssey led her to the esteemed halls of the Parsons School of Design at The New School in New York City, a very prestigious and selective private university. Here, she cultivated her talents and emerged as a distinguished Documentary/Fine Art Photographic photographer and Lecturer, leaving an indelible mark on the art world.

A self-taught photographer, Miss Guillaume honed her skills under the guidance of her mentor, the renowned master photographer Lisette Model, in New York City. Her dedication and passion for the craft were further fueled by the highly respected photographer Berenice Abbott’s invaluable advice and creative support. Under their tutelage, her skills flourished, allowing her to capture the world’s beauty through her lens with grace and precision. Their influence on her artistic development profoundly shaped her unique vision and contributed to her success as a master photographer.

Her career took her to prestigious events in New York City, such as the Gubernatorial Dinner, the Fifth CEBA Awards, and Boxing in Madison Square Garden, to name a few, showcasing her abil-ity to immortalize moments of significance.

Her unwavering dedication and unparalleled talent were evident in every aspect of her work, garnering widespread acclaim and admiration. She shared her expertise and passion for photography as a lecturer, inspiring countless aspiring artists to pursue their creative visions.

Her legacy as a photographic artist and educator will continue to inspire generations of artists. As the First President of the Bahamas Camera Club and the Bahamas Press Club, she spearheaded initiatives that elevated the photographic community in the Bahamas.

Miss Guillaume, affectionately known as the “Master” in her profession, leaves a legacy that transcends borders and spans generations. Renowned for her mastery of the craft, her remarkable talent earned recognition from esteemed figures such as Queen Elizabeth II, and she was commissioned by the Shah of Iran to take his photo. She has photographed Rosa Parks, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Princess Anne, and various governors of New York along with other famous persons. Notable persons in the United States also purchased her work, solidifying her status as a luminary in the world of photography. Her contributions to the art world will be remembered and cherished for years to come.

Internationally acclaimed, her photographs graced the pages of leading publications worldwide. Her impact extended beyond her own work. She mentored a generation of aspiring photojournalists who continue to carry on her legacy. Through her affiliations with various organizations, including the Bahamas Historical Society, Senior Citizens Sanctuary, Bahamian History Month and Bahamian Photographic Society for the Exhibiting Artists she remained dedicated to preserving the rich tapestry of Bahamian heritage.

Miss Guillaume’s tireless advocacy for archival preservation led to

the recognition of photographic art as a cultural treasure. As a member of the Board of Directors, Miss Guillaume played a pivotal role in restoring the Villa Doyle home into the National Arts Gallery of the Bahamas. Her efforts extended beyond restoration, advocating for the recognition of archival-prepared photographs on archival paper that were treated and confirmed to last for over 200 years as artwork for the gallery. Thanks to her insistence, there is now a dedicated room in the gallery for such images, a testament to her professional contributions and achievements in the field of photography. Her contributions to the art world are a testament to her talent, dedication, and unwavering commitment to her craft.

Miss Guillaume painted a vivid portrait of the Bahamian experience through her lens, immortalizing moments that would otherwise have faded into obscurity. Her work resonated with audiences far and wide, offering glimpses of beauty, strength, and resilience that transcended cultural boundaries.

In addition to her accomplishments in the art world, Miss Guillaume dedicated herself wholeheartedly to serving her church community. Her commitment to faith and service was evident in her various roles within the church. As a Master Guide and later a Master Guide Director, she guided and mentored countless individuals, instilling in them the values of leadership and service. Her involvement extended to the Pathfinder and Adventurer programs, where she served as an instructor, nurturing young members’ spiritual growth and development.

| Margaret R. Guillaume | Dancing In The Light 6

Miss Guillaume’s impact was not limited to the Pathfinder and Adventurer programs, she also served as an Adventist Youth Leader (AY) and taught AY classes, imparting wisdom and guid-ance to the next generation of church leaders. Her dedication to community service was further exemplified by her election as the Director of Community Services in her church, where she oversaw initiatives such as a Soup Kitchen and provided care for the community’s shutin members.

As a church Deaconess, Miss Guillaume upheld the beliefs of her denomination with unwavering dedication and grace. Her ministry extended beyond the church walls, as she compassionately through her program “Jesus Cares” provided blankets to the homeless during the winter months, offering warmth and comfort to those in need.

Miss Guillaume’s legacy of service and devotion to her faith will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her tireless efforts to uplift and support others reflect the true spirit of selflessness and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

In her dedication to Christ, service, unwavering commitment to her community, remarkable contri-butions to the media, and boundless love for her family, Miss Guillaume leaves a legacy that will be deeply missed. Her absence will be felt profoundly by all whose lives she touched, yet her spirit will continue to resonate through the countless lives she enriched. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her influence and memory will endure, serving as a beacon of inspiration for future generations.

CONGREGATIONAL SONG | “Shall You, Shall I” | Congregational Hymn

Some one will enter the pearly gate

By and by, by and by,

Taste of the glories that there await, Shall you? shall I? Shall you? shall I?

Some one will travel the streets of gold, Beautiful visions will there behold, Feast on the pleasures so long foretold:

Shall you? shall I? Shall you? shall I?

Some one will gladly his cross lay down By and by, by and by, Faithful, approved, shall receive a crown, Shall you? shall I? Shall you? shall I?

Some one the glorious King will see, Ever from sorrow of earth be free,

Happy with Him thro’ eternity:

Shall you? shall I? Shall you? shall I?

Some one will knock when the door is shut

By and by, by and by,

Hear a voice saying, “I know you not,” Shall you? shall I? Shall you? shall I?

Some one will call and shall not be heard,

Vainly will strive when the door is barred,

Some one will fail of the saint’s reward:

Shall you? shall I? Shall you? shall I?

Some one will sing the triumphant song

By and by, by and by, Join in the praise with the blood-bought throng, Shall you? shall I? shall you? shall I?

Some one will greet on the golden shore

Loved ones of earth who have gone before, Safe in the glory for evermore: Shall you? shall I? Shall you? shall I?

R

GUILLAUME SLEEPING IN THE CARE OF JESUS

The sting of death is a painful occurrence. The reality of death is an experience which has touched all of mankind since Adam and Eve sinned. The only hope and comfort one can rely on during this time of of sorrow is to have faith and trust in Jesus. One must have a firm understanding and belief in God’s biblical promise for comfort and solitude as death is only an intermission before the call to eternal life.Endeavor to focus on the pleasant memories of your deceased love one.

Christians however must clearly recognize the biblical facts regarding two important issues concerning the dead. These facts concern (1) the soul and (2) the state of the dead. Human beings are “living souls.” “And the Lord formed man of the dust (body) of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath (spirit) of life and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7. The soul is the combination of two things, the body (dust) and the breath (spirit). When death occurs, the soul ceases to exist for the breath (spirit) returns to God and the body (dust) is placed in the grave until resurrection day. “The body (dust) without the spirit (breath) is death.” James 2:26 and “The soul that sinners, it shall die.” Ezekiel 18:20 Hence praying for the souls of the dead is unbiblical and unchristian and as such constitutes a useless pagan exercise.

The dead do not go to Heaven immediately following death for the Bible teaches that death is an unconscious sleep. “The living know that they will die but the dead know not anything.” Ecclesiastes 9:5. Love ones will remain asleep in their graves until Jesus shall be seen in the clouds of glory and the dead in Christ will be resurrected first “For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with his angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.” Matthew 16:27

Paul states in 1 Thessalonians 3:13-14 “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not even as others with have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.” Three times in John 6:40, John 6:44

and John 6:54: Jesus tells us that “I will raise him up in the last day.” Jesus statements prove that the dead remain in their graves until the resurrection morning. The pain and suffering of your love one has ceased. The death experience of your love one will only represent seconds between the time that love one went to sleep and the time when Jesus who hold the keys or all graves, will call the dead from their graves.

Humanity must not fear death for Jesus has promised to give victory over death. Jesus said, “I AM he that liveth and was dead: and I AM alive forever more Amen and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:18 You can soothe the pain of loneliness and despair by believing in God’s promises. However, we must be willing to love Jesus, request salvation, repent of your sins, study the Bible daily and obey His Ten Commandments including the seventh day Sabbath worship commandment to confirm salvation. It is important that humanity choose to follow Jesus, the only religious spiritual leader who came to earth, shed His blood and died on a cruel cross for humanity. We must be biblically prepared for that day when we too will die. Then on resurrection morning, we will hear Christ welcoming mankind to one of the two resurrection exercises, the resurrection of the righteous or the resurrection of the unrighteous . World occurrences confirm that the time of the end is shorter that it was when Jesus was on earth. The gift of salvation is free for the asking and which resurrection we choose to become apart of is our decision to make.

Imagine what a wonderful and glorious day that will be if we choose salvation and prepare ourselves to meet with Jesus our Lord and King in the Celestial City? The occurrence of death therefore gives the living the opportunity in seizing the chance to walk the narrow path of righteousness to eternal life where death and pain will be no more. The Psalmist encourages us with these words: “ Precious in the sight of the lord is the death of his saints.” Psalms 118:15.

Explain to your children the truth concerning death for Jesus loves them too and He cares

MARGaRET

IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR YOUNGEST SISTER - MARGARET R. GUILLAUME

On March 10th, 2024, our family was shaken to its core by the loss of my beloved sister, Margaret. In her most challenging times, she exhibited a strength and resilience that left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She was a force to be reckoned with – vibrant, tenacious, and fiercely loyal. She possessed an unwavering commitment to honesty and integrity, never shying away from speaking her mind, even in the face of adversity. Her courage and steadfastness were evident in every aspect of her life, whether it be her unwavering dedication to her beliefs or her meticulous attention to detail in every task she undertook.

I recall a particular ordeal Margaret endured, unjustly accused and subjected to unfounded attacks. Through it all, she remained composed, holding fast to her principles and steadfastly believing that truth would prevail. Despite the pain inflicted upon her, she clung to her faith, finding solace in the words of her Bible as she searched for answers amidst the turmoil.

Her love for her church was unwavering, her desire to serve unwaveringly genuine. Yet, she found herself ostracized, her excellence perceived as a threat by those who could not accept her strength and intelligence. She bore the weight of unjust condemnation with grace and dignity, never allowing bitterness to consume her, but yearning for vindication and closure for the injustices she endured.

Despite the trials she faced, our dear sister remained a beacon of loyalty and friendship. She cherished her relationships, standing by her friends with unwavering loyalty, even when faced with betrayal. Her capacity for forgiveness was boundless, a testament to her remarkable character and depth of spirit.

To Hillview SDA Church, we extend our deepest gratitude for embracing Margaret’s talents and allowing her to serve with unwavering dedication. Her contributions were immeasurable, and her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.

As we bid farewell to my dear sister, we vow to be her voice, to ensure that her memory is honored and her legacy upheld. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to inspire us, guiding us towards a future free from injustice and prejudice.

To our dear sister Margaret R. Guillaume has left us and her voice is silenced, we pledge to speak for her. In the realm of heaven, where perfection reigns, we will meet again. Her readiness to embrace whatever lay ahead, as she often said, gives us comfort. We look forward to our reunion, where we’ll partake of the tree of life without fear man’s intolerance.

Until then, we will cherish and hold our sister close in our hearts, remembering the extraordinary woman she was and the profound impact she had on our lives.

With love and everlasting remembrance.

‘You are the granddaughter of Madge Guillaume’

As I stand here, enveloped in the vast emptiness left by your absence, memories of our time together flood my mind like an unstoppable tide. Your voice, always filled with love, care, and, at times, admonishment, echoes in my ears, reminding me of the countless lessons you imparted.

I can still hear you advising me against wearing bright lipstick to church, reminding me of the importance of modesty. “Remember, you are the granddaughter of Madge Guillaume,” you would say, leaving an indelible mark on my heart.

In those sacred moments, seated together in the sanctuary of Hillview church, your guidance transcended mere etiquette— it embodied a profound love and devotion that knew no bounds. Each word, each reprimand, was a testament to your unwavering commitment to my well-being.

As I reminisce about our shared memories, tears blur my vision, for I realize that I have lost more than just a relative—I have lost a guiding light, a confidante, a source of strength. From the moment you bestowed upon me my unique name, your presence in my life illuminated my path with hope and wisdom.

Our adventures in Masterguide and AY (Adventist Youth) were transformative experiences that bound us together in love and growth. You taught me that age was but a number and we could overcome any obstacle with determination.

Your pursuit of perfection and unwavering adherence to your beliefs inspired me to stand firm in my convictions, even in the face of adversity. In the quiet moments, you imparted invaluable life lessons—proper table manners, financial responsibility, respect for elders—that continue to shape my character today.

Your influence extended far beyond our family circle; it permeated our entire community. Contractors and business associates revered your expertise and attention to detail. Aunt Margaret, I knew every task I entrusted to you would be handled meticulously.

Yet, amidst your many responsibilities, you always made time for me—to listen, advise, and comfort. Our bond was unbreakable, and our love was unconditional.

Your love and concern never wavered, even until the very end. Your spirit remains eternally alive within me, your impact on this world will never fade. As I bid you farewell, I find solace in the peace you assured us of. You are at peace, and so am I.

With tears streaming down my cheeks and a heart heavy with sorrow,

Until Then…..

TRIBUTE TO AUNT MARGARET

My first experience with Aunt Margaret was a bit daunting. Her direct, forthright approach admittedly caught me by surprise. However, throughout the years, I understood that this was her love language and that she was relentless when it came to defending her values and standards. The fondest, although bittersweet memories that will forever be etched in my heart are recent ones which undoubtedly endeared us to each other. God, in His providence, allowed me the honor and privilege of providing support to Aunt Margaret and ministering to her in prayer and the scriptures during her time of need. I shall always remember Aunt Margaret’s indomitable spirit. To God be the glory for her life and legacy.

TEACHER

I remember my Aunt Margaret to be a teacher She taught all of the children in the family She was quite a personality Strong and wise Her presence was at every family function that I could remember She took my sister Victoria and I and our cousin Darien to Hillview Summer school

Then years later continued the tradition by doing the same with our children, India, James and Isabella. I cannot forget her photography talents and skills which I always wish that I could have learned more about.

I respected my aunt very much and was always happy to see her.

I am saddened at her passing but take solace that she has left a legacy.

MY FRIEND MARGARET,

You will be remembered not only from your family but your friends as well. I’ll miss talking to you. The last time I tried talking to you, you were too weak to talk when Hadassah made an attempt for us to connect. This old world is not our home. It doesn’t belong to us. You got a glimpse of that City where it wouldn’t be no more sadness, no sickness nor death. God single you out. He recognized your spiritual strength within you, and he knew that you would be able to handle your life’s journey. We are all fated to die, only you have gone ahead of us waiting to reap your reward. Imagine my friend, you will be caught up to meet Jesus I the air when he returns. You were born to be a blessing to your family and friends alike. We couldn’t choose our family, but we were able to choose our friends. I am thankful and grateful for being one of your friends.

May the peace of God surround your family at this time. Remembering your family at this time. Remembering Herbert, Marie Hadassah and family with His Love and mercies.

TO MY DEAR AUNT MARGARET

The only individual to call me Vicky who I allowed, thank you for your profound part in my upbringing. Invaluable lessons you imparted upon me. I still remember you teaching us table manners and introducing us to pathfinders. Not only did you take us to summer school which was a true bright spot in my childhood but you also did the same for my daughter. You took pride in everything you did and made sure we knew to do the same. I cannot thank you enough for your wisdom and guidance. You will surely be missed.

MANNERS CARRY YOU THROUGH THE WORLD

My Aunt Margaret used to teach me manners every time I said something disrespectful that I didn’t think was disrespectful. She taught me to say “Yes Ma’am” and “No Ma’am.” She taught me how to say excuse me when somebody was talking and when you didn’t hear something to say excuse me.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

“I always remember cousin Margaret for the professional photography she took of family members, and because of her, one of the very few photos of me as a pre-teen, a photo that I cherish, exist. She always corrected in a kind and gentle way and I will always remember her....cousin Margaret. I will aim to be faithful so that I can meet her in heaven one day...May the happy memories remain always’

HUMBLE, KIND AND PLEASANT

“SECOND TO NONE IN HER FIELD”

I’ve known Margaret for over 47 years during my employment at The Tribune, The Nassau Guardian, Bahamas Information Services (BIS) and The Ministry of Tourism.

We covered many assignments together. Back in the 1970’s, we both attended the Camera Club. Margaret professional standards were very high and she was dedicated to her craft. She was second to none in her field. Margaret was one of the founders of the Bahamas Photographic Society for the Exhibiting Artist, she was a very private person. We did many photographic exhibitions together. Her memories will forever remain with me. May God bless and strengthen her family.

May the care and love of those around her family provide comfort during this time. My sincere condolences from my family and I.

Ms. Margaret was a neighbour that always kept watch over the neighbourhood. She was aware of everything happening to her immediate neighbours, and although she could be overly observant at times she meant well and was concerned about everyone’s safety. Ms. Margaret would let us know when we left our lights on, when our water pump was not cutting on or when someone came home too late. She not only believed in the adage “It takes a village,” but was a kind-hearted soul who consistently shared her mangoes and bananas with us whenever they were ready.

She was a dedicated Adventist, committed to keeping her Sabbath. By sunset every Friday, we knew we would not see her anymore until sunset on Saturday. During that time, we could hear her radio or TV playing the various programs as she worshipped her Lord. We love you and we will miss your presence and your neighbourly spirit.

GUILLAUME TO PRESENT ‘Dancing In The Light’EXHIBITION

Bahamian Master documentary/fine art/photographic artist Guillaume (Margaret) is finalizing plans for an exhibition of her photographs entitled “Dancing in the Light: A Symphony of Nature Revealed in My Yard” that were created 2008-2014. The Exhibition will open on Tuesday, 3 June from 6pm – 9pm at Doongalik Studios, #20 Village Road.

Guillaume is a veteran News Photographer and her work has appeared in newspapers and magazines in The Bahamas and internationally. As a news photographer, she has photographed Rosa Parks, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Princess Anne, Governors, the Mayor of New York, and covered boxing in Madison Square Garden. Throughout the years, Guillaume has documented decades of Bahamian scenes and lifestyles with her camera. During February and March 2011, she took on a dangerous task of shooting documentary photographs along John F. Kennedy Drive, Prospect Ridge roads and towards the airport terminal before the road works began.

Guillaume’s forte is black and white film photography which she has studied extensively and has mastered the art of making fine black and white prints. However with this upcoming Exhibition.

“Dancing in the Light” will be her first colour exhibition and it was decided upon only after she was convinced by reports from a respected research company, Wilhelm Imaging, which confirmed that photographs printed on certain papers using special pigmented inks would guarantee a life span of more than one hundred years.

This archival quality guarantee is of utmost importance for Guillaume as a professional artist who is adamant in her response to the needs of her prospective buyers. She is meticulous in overseeing the printing process for her images which are printed on 100% rag acid-free photo paper, using Epson Ultra chrome pigmented based inks. They will also be matted with 100% rag acid-free matte and backing and framed with 99% UV Museum Glass and perhaps is the first to exhibit with this type of glass and printed in limited editions of one hundred and fifty prints each. A certificate of authenticity by the printing paper manufacture will be given with each print.

This is also her first exhibition showcasing images created by using the digital medium. Guillaume applies the same basic operation of the traditional film camera and is rewarded with excellent exposed colour and un-tweeted breathtaking images in their “purest” form, untouched and not digitally enhanced by ‘photoshop’.

The subject matter for the exhibition was discovered during early morning walks in her yard beginning in the early fall of 2008. Guillaume states, “The spider and the spider web was one of my very first shots using a 200mm lens shooting into the light of the spider and the web, thereby creating an effect as though it was dancing in the light. I was amazed when I saw the images, not just of ordinary flowers but also different species of birds. The natural sunlight illuminated the subjects, displaying the radiance of their colours. Photography is an art which can be de-

scribed as ‘drawing with light’. My ordinary vision was set aside and a new vision of seeing has emerged with a new perspective and with a greater appreciation for the light.”

“The images in the yard that I had documented had been right there under my eyes for ages and I had never thought of documenting (shooting) them before. Finally I had forty to fifty exciting, colourful and breathtaking images from my yard and I am delighted to be mounting this exhibition so that that I could share them with the public. I would like viewers including the youths to take away from the show an awareness of the extraordinary beauty that exists within ordinary images which we take

“In 2007, the late Petrine E. Archer Straw, author/ lecturer and former consultant at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas wrote to me in an e-mail, ‘From experience, I know that periods of introspection can also represent times of creativity and high productivity, I suspect you must be doing a lot of good work and wish you well’.” Guillaume reflected: “I am saddened that Ms Archer Straw never got a chance to see any of the photographs in this exhibition because I am convinced that they are surely my most creative pieces to date.”

Guillaume is a former art instructor at the College of The Bahamas and former Founding member of the Board of Directors at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas. Guillaume is also a collector of vintage film cameras and will have a selection of her vintage cameras on display. The Exhibition will close on Monday, 29 June and is open to the public Monday-Wednesday from 10am-4pm or by appointment.
