His STORY 5.1.43 - 1.21.22

A TIME TO BE BORN On the settlement of Black Point, South Andros, a prince was born to the late Ishmael & Daisy Rahming, he was given the name Clarence. The birth of their first born brought much joy and excitement to the proud parents. Clarence was taught by his parents to respect others. He was a very obedient, kind, loving and honest child. His quiet and humble disposition was always admired by his parents and all who knew him. He was excited when he became a big brother to his brother Charles and other siblings. He was protective of them and often gave them sound advice that kept them out of trouble or assisted them in important life decisions. A TME TO WORSHIP Clarence was brought up and nurtured in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Family worship was an important part of his upbringing. He relocated to Nassau at an early age and became a member of the Grants Town Seventyday Adventist church. Later in life he became an active member of the New Providence Church where he held various positions, such as Sabbath School teacher, choir member, deacon and elder. Clarence was a powerful prayer warrior.

his maturity and willingness to assist in the provision for his parents and younger siblings. Nevertheless, he was able to obtain skills in a number of trades, including, masonary, painting and a certification in Janitorial Services. His quest for knowledge never ceased. A TIME TO WORK Clarence’s determination to succeed led him to obtain employment at the Bernard Sunley Building as a mason helper, after which he was employed at the Ministry of Works as a painter. Clarence was a Sales Agent for First Federation and Star Insurance Companies. He ventured into the Tourism Industry as a taxi-cab driver. His cooking expertise was enjoyed by patrons attending the Hobby Horse Race Track as he sold the best turkey drumsticks. Clarence’s diverse entrepreneurial spirit also led him to participate in multi sales businesses, for example, being the owner of a small neighbourhood grocery store along with various network marketing opportunities, e. g. Amway, Life Plus, Ardyss, Symmetry, Orano Gold and Karatbars. He also was the owner of a janitorial service company, which he was passionate about. A TIME TO LOVE At a young age, Clarence met Maria Eloise McPhee (deceased). They were joined in holy matrimony in 1964. That union was blessed with 2 sons and 5 daughters whom Clarence was

very proud of. He was an excellent father and provider who always ensured that his family’s needs were met. Birthdays and vacations were special moments for him. He taught his children how to cook and most importantly how to pray and serve the Lord. Clarence met and fell in love with Ruth Kerr; soon thereafter, they were married. Among other things Clarence and Ruth were great business partners. They loved travelling together and visited destinations such as Orlando, Washington D. c., New York and Turks and Caicos Island. Clarence also enjoyed his first cruise in 2007.

A TIME TO DIE Clarence’s health began to decline in August 2015. He attended numerous doctors and health care facilities locally and abroad including Hippocrates Health Institute, West Palm Beach, Florida in hopes of improving his health. His health improved for a number of years allowing him to return to his regular duties. However, he once again began experiencing health issues and was subsequently hospitalized and constantly under doctor’s supervision. On January 3rd, 2022 he was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital and received various medical treatments. His health

seemed to have improved but God had other plans. On January 21st, 2022 at approximately 2:00AM he met his demise. Elder Clarence Rahming has fought a good fight, he has kept the faith, he has finished his course, henceforth there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the Righteous Judge himself shall give him on that day…….. TO MY DARLING HUSBAND, In life I loved you dearly, In death i’ll do the same. It breaks my heart to loose you, You left me peaceful memories. I miss our singing together, Especially your rolling bass. You told me you were tired, So sleep now and take your rest. I love you, but God loves you best. You were my best friend, I look forward to the day when Jesus comes and we meet again. Your Ruttie

TO MY FATHER We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. Glen

apa I miss you already. It is so hard for me to look at your house knowing that you’re no longer there. The last time I saw you was during Christmas and Mrs. Ruth told me that you both were leaving for Nassau. We talked, hugged, kissed and said goodbye. We did not know that would’ve been the last time hearing your voice, seeing your beautiful smile or even get our last hug and kiss. Papa you have left me so many wonderful memories with us on the beach, dancing to Christmas music, going for ice-cream and listening to you talk about your life stories. Those memories will hold a special place in my heart and will remain in my heart until I take my last breath. Papa you were always there for me. It will be hard for me to adjust to not seeing you . I am happy to know that you’re no longer in pain. I love you very much. This is not a goodbye, I pray we will meet again when Jesus returns. Love Travette

TO MY LOVING GRANDFATHER, There was no thought of time of ever saying goodbye. You were gone before we even knew it. You will always be remembered as the kind and caring “papa”. You always found away to show your humor and affection in every situation. Special memories of you will always live forever in our hearts. You showed your support at every important milestone in our lives. No matter what it was you always made time for family. I will always hear your still voice of wisdom and advice ringing in my ears. To do the right things, which is Gods plan for our lives. We’ll always remember you Grandpa because there is no one to fulfill your shoes. You will be sorely missed, forever loved and always remembered. Alexcia

“To Papa” You came to visit me in June last year in Exuma and I came to visited you in the Christmas. I didn’t know that would have been my last hug and kiss. God saw you were tired and took you with him. I cried many times watching you suffer. Even though, I loved you dearly,I couldn’t make you stay with me. I love you and I miss you so much papa. I will see you again heaven. — Darrinique

B

rother stepped in as a father figure when daddy goes to the United States to work on the contract. He was always there to assist mother in providing for us. I can recall the times when I needed clothes & shoes for church or for a concert in Black Point, South Andros, brother would send me clothes. When I visited New Providence, brother would take me to the Grants Town Church to worship with him. Brother has left a rich legacy: Faithfulness, integrity, impeccable character, hard work & determination. Sleep on brother, take your rest.
