PREPARE TO BE TRANSFORMED

You – and we – have spent the last few years in relative isolation. Every chance we had to connect with the community, facilitate human interaction, or provide services to the community, we took and gave it all that we had. So many of our members continued to support us in the leanest of times because they knew we existed as much for the vulnerable as we do the resilient. We will never, ever thank those generous souls enough. Gratitude towards our Board leadership, donors, and our staff were always embedded values that we live by. They’re now in our DNA. These past few months, we examined our programs for the community. We reviewed the operations of 13 Centers of Excellence. We reviewed the programs for every age group. We consulted with those who come to us regularly and those who have not. This guide is a product of our readiness to meet the needs of a complex world through fundamental Jewish values that have held true for millennia; values that we believe refl ect universal truths: Human dignity, social justice, welcoming the stranger, repairing the world as we can, respect for all and caring for community. We provide spaces and places to discuss our differences in a divided society. In a stressful world, we build centers for wellness, for calming and for healing. In tough times, we err on the side of reaching out with a helping hand. In these pages, walk through the metamorphosis of an agency built to hear you, connect you and enrich the life of the many communities we serve. Our doors are wide open.
