Get ready to kick up your heels with our fun class! Whether you are a beginner or experienced dancer, you’ll learn classic steps and new moves in a relaxed, and energetic environment. 4 sessions

STREET SMARTS SELF-DEFENSE

Ages: 13+ years

Take control of your safety, learn how to be aware of your surroundings, and prepare for the unexpected, by learning basic functional defense techniques. Class is taught by our Fitness + Training Supervisor, karate, and judo expert Lori Levi. 4 sessions

RESILIENCE U: SELF-AWARENESS – IDENTIFYING VALUES AND BELIEFS

An empowering program designed exclusively for high school students as they navigate transitions to young adulthood, college, and beyond. Three key areas are addressed each semester: Self-Awareness, Relationships (November 12), and Skill Development (December 17).

ELECTION DISINFORMATION/ MISINFORMATION WORKSHOP

With election season fast approaching, it’s more important than ever to navigate the news and information we encounter. That’s why we’re excited for an upcoming workshop in partnership with the Bryant Library, that explores:

• How to identify credible sources of information

• Tips for spotting disinformation and misinformation

• Best practices for navigating news platforms and social media during elections

• Tools to help you become a more informed and critical news consumer, and more!

Whether you’re looking to be more informed or simply want to share accurate information with your community, we’ll get you prepared for the coming weeks!

FILM AND PANEL DISCUSSION: A TREE OF LIFE

On Saturday, October 27, 2018, the Tree of Life Synagogue was the location of the most deadly antisemitic attack in U.S. history. Join us for a screening of A Tree of Life, which documents the day’s events, the lives of the survivors, and how the community set out on a path of healing. A panel discussion with survivors will follow. Saturday, October 19, 7-8:30pm
