KINDNESS The highest form of wisdom is kindness. – Talmud The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention. - Khalil Gibran There is not a culture, faith, or creed that does not promote acts of kindness as the central component of being a better human. If there was a single word that evokes the feeling we wish to evoke within the walls of our JCC, methinks that word would be kindness; extending a hand, saying hello in our hallways, connecting with someone you never met in a program. Hillel wrote, “If I am not for me, who is for me; and if I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?” Let this be our guide over these next few months. Extend a hand. Say hello. Connect the unconnected. You can find kindness throughout these pages. Within our JCC, find more of yourself, and in doing simple acts of kindness for others, feel the glow of our community.
