Our members can find jobs, business recommendations, events, and more with click of a button. To become a member of Sienna List please follow the steps below. Step 1 - Visit www.SiennaList.com Step 2 - Click the Register button up at the top of the page. Step 3 - Create a user name and password for your login. Creating and sharing a local event such as a garage sale, class, or a fund-raiser has never been easier. Once you login, click create an event. Then fill in the appropriate fields and now your event in live on Sienna List.

HOW DID IT ALL S TART? Sienna List launched in the summer of 2013. Our company identified a need to network our fast growing community. Once we figured out exactly what we wanted to do. We began working on the key elements of our website. We decided to offer a unique site that offered immediate access to all of our features. The four key tools that we created were: a business recommendation finder, a Job Board, an Event Board, and a Yard Sale section. We felt that all of these features would help better network our community. As of July 2015, we have over 95 companies on Sienna List and over 4,000 members.

FEATURED BUSINESS SNAP FITNESS SIENNA PLANTATION: Convenience, quality equipment, and a clean environment…the three things people find most important when choosing a fitness club, according to customer research. Year after year, those results do not change and that’s exactly what Snap Fitness has focused on providing the Sienna Plantation community for nearly five years. Co-owner and Sienna resident Matt Dunn explains “Our model is simple; we try and provide members with the things they value most in a gym. We are close to home with 24/7 access, stateof-the-art equipment throughout, great trainers, and a clean and comfortable club to workout in.” With over 2000 Snap Fitness clubs worldwide, the Sienna Plantation club has enjoyed sustained growth from year to year and remains one of the top clubs in the Snap Fitness franchise. “With some of the success we’ve enjoyed, we also realize the importance of continuing to evolve and offer members new and innovative ways to enjoy fitness”, says co-owner Randy Glatstein.

In 2011, Dunn and Glatstein decided to experiment with the fitness phenomenon that is CrossFit. Shortly after, Sienna CrossFit was born and has operated out of Snap Fitness (outdoors) ever since. Certified CrossFit Instructor Dana Barger says, “The response to CrossFit, has been amazing! We were cautiously optimistic that it would take off when we started it from the ground up, but it’s far exceeded our expectations each year, and we’ve seen some very impressive transformations in our members”. Combine the growth of Snap Fitness and the popularity of Sienna CrossFit and it became clear that a facilities change is the next step in the process. “Basically, we need more space to accommodate our membership and provide some new offerings to keep people engaged. Luckily, the timing was perfect and we recently agreed to terms on a new building that should be ready for move in by late summer of this year”, says Glatstein. The new building will be a couple blocks north of the current gym, located on Sienna Parkway, just to the right of Sienna Gymnastics & Karate.

Not only will the new building be significantly larger in size, but will have a completely updated and modernized look and feel that members will love. “The biggest advantage will be more space, which will allow us to move Sienna CrossFit indoors and utilize a new studio for group fitness options, such as spin, yoga, and Fitness on Demand. We’ll also add a few pieces of new equipment, like stair steppers, and replace some of the aging cardio machines. I think people are going to be really excited with the changes”, says Dunn. CO M M U N I T Y MA R K E T P L AC E RIVERSTONE AND SIENNA PLANTATION—A TALE OF TWO MASTER PLANNED COMMUNITIES Riverstone is comprised of some 3,700 acres. Home construction began in the mid 1990’s with a projected build out of 6,000 homes*. Home sales really took off with the completion of University Boulevard which transects the community connecting Highway 6 and US 59. In 2013 Taylor Morrison Homes purchased the final large parcel in the subdivision comprised of 575 acres extending from University Blvd. to the Brazos River*, and will finish out the development. In 2014, Riverstone trailed only Cinco Ranch in the number of houses sold**.The contributing factor for the popularity of Riverstone is it’s proximity to Houston, safety, education, diversity, and cost of living**. Sienna Plantation, another Master Planned Community comprising 10,000 acres. It originally was projected to have 20,000 homes upon completion*. It was started by Johnson Development in the 1980’s. It stalled briefly due to the recession but was re-energized in the mid 1990’s. Sienna Plantation which borders and is now connected to Riverstone by LJ Parkway ( Larry Johnson), can attribute the same driving forces to it’s popularity—proximity to Houston, diversity, education, safety, and low cost of living. In 2014 Toll Brothers in conjunction with partner GTIS Partners, purchased Sienna South from Hillwood Communities**. Their first move was to bring Johnson Development back on to act as the “ master developer”. The first community in Sienna South is called Sawmill Lakes which recently came online.
