AND A STRONG SPRING MARKET Spring has finally sprung! Birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and the sun is shining! In a traditional balanced spring market, buyers are out in full force searching for their next place to call home while many new properties are being listed every day. Typically, there is enough supply to satisfy the demand. This spring marketing is not typical of what we’re used to. While buyer activity is still intense, the number of homes for sale on Long Island are at record lows with less than a two-month supply of inventory in most towns. The unprecedented growth in the Long Island housing market continued into the first quarter of 2021. In a comparison of January-March 2020 vs. JanuaryMarch 2021, closed sales were up 30% in Suffolk County and 42% in Nassau County, while pending home sale activity jumped 12% in Suffolk County and 26% in Nassau County. Interest rates are still low, and there is no shortage of buyers. Our agents are continuing to see multiple offer situations, competitive bidding wars, and long lines at their open houses. Houses are flying off the market at a record pace, many well above the asking price. We’re in a true seller’s market. It’s a great time to be a seller and a challenging time to be a buyer. Even though the market is hot, sellers still need to prepare their homes, price them right, and market them professionally. Buyers need to be ready to compete and stay on top of new listings as they hit the market. Surfer’s Way Outing EMPOWERING CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
TUESDAY, JULY 13 TUESDAY, AUGUST 17 RIVERSIDE BEACH, LONG BEACH
Surfing has been known to touch children with special needs and create a personal sense of accomplishment. Through Surfer’s Way, every child can have the chance to experience the freedom of surfing, regardless of their challenges. In order to ensure the safety of this event, it will operate at a reduced capacity. As such, we please ask that you only register your child for ONE of the two dates so we can give as many children the opportunity to participate as possible. Children surf for about 20 minutes in appointments from 9am - 1pm. To register your child, please email SurfersWay@gmail.com and include: -Child’s name AND age -Parent / Guardian name and contact # -Outing Date preferred. You will receive email confirmation when your child is registered.
