BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Congratulations to our very own Stephan Mahabir for being named a 2023 Diversity in Business Award Honoree by LIBN! This event highlights the outstanding achievements of professionals who actively support the growth of diversity and equality in our community. As the Director of Signature’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Division and the DEI Committee Chairperson for LIBOR, Stephan has been an incredible advocate for equality in the real estate industry and beyond. We couldn’t be prouder of him for this amazing accomplishment!

We want to give a great big congratulations to our very own Eliot Lonardo for being honored at the Tri Community & Youth Agency Hall of Honor Gala last night! We’re incredibly proud of Eliot for his dedication to the community and all of the hard work he does to help others!

Claire Leface’s son, Michael, got engaged to Emily Maracic. A May 2024 wedding is being planned!

Jim Pooley was nominated and chosen as one of the honorees to be inducted into the Calhoun HS Alumni Hall of Fame. The ceremony is in April.

Gil Picard’s grandson, Matthew, was accepted to Duke.

Deniz Ozgur organized and hosted Real Estate Rebuild to raise money for the earthquake victimes in Turkey, which raised money to buy 42 containers homes for families in need!

Candice Ryan’s son, Nicholas MIgliore, and his beautiful wife Gigi eloped on Jan 17th! They’re planning a larger party in 2024 to celebrate.

Jennifer Calafati’s son, Thomas Crocco, got engaged to his beautiful fiance, Kristen Iadarola. They will be getting married in July 2024.

Peter & Donna Calabrese congratulate their daughter Taylor on receiving her NYS Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Joann Aronson’s son, Zachary, made Highest Honor Roll for 15 quarters straight at a 4.1 GPA (4.3 weighted GPA) and made his Smithtown HS West VARSITY Baseball team in 9th grade as catcher. Alexis & Samantha have both been accepted into an accelerated medical/nursing program.Jono and JoAnn will be Great Aunt & Uncle this September. to their Nephew/Godson’s baby.

Gloria Volpe’s grandson Anthony Volpe is now a New York Yankee! We know that Gloria is so proud!

Salvatore Catalano and wife, Amanda, welcomed their second son, Elliott Rudolph, on January 11th. New big brother Sawyer is ready!

Nancy Mcelroy’s daughter, Nicole, placed in the top 1% of females at Disney Princess half marathon in February.

Her future son in-law, Jeff Klein, was named officer of the year in Southeast Florida in March.

Louis and Sara Abikzer celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on March 16th!

Rachel and Kristen Antle welcomed their first child Keagan Quinn Antle on Valentine’s Day!

Kevin & Lesley Longmcleod’s son, Ian, became engaged to Jordan Kenney in January in NYC at Bryant Park’s Winter Wonderland. Both serve in the US Navy and are now stationed together in San Diego, CA.

John Cinque’s daughter, Jaclyn, became a first-time homeowner on a Co-op in Hartsdale, NY to be closer to work as a a HR Operations Senior Analyst for Pepsico in Purchase, NY.

Dakota Katusa (Shepard) got married at Flowerfields Friday, March 24th Joyce Roe and Joyce Koesterer were in attendance.

George Newell got married to Stephanie on their 6 year anniversary of dating, March 4th at Sea Cliff Manor.

Shout out to Kathy Martin for supporting Options for Community Living’s Sneaker Drive! Kathy & fellow agents dropped off 200+ pairs of sneakers to raise funds to serve vulnerable individuals and families across LI! Thanks to all who donated!

Angela Caffrey’s oldest Ian Thomas, Petty Officer Second Class, is now a US Navy Veteran. After serving for 5 years with 2 record long deployments on USS Eisenhower, he’s decided to drop anchor and return to civilian life.

Susan Asaro’s daughter, Gia, got engaged to Christopher Cronin on February 5th and has a wedding date set of 2/2/24 at Fox Hollow.❤

Jason Boudreau’s son, Bryce, broke 3 swim records: 200 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley & 100 Backstroke. These records have held since 2010. The 8 year old swims for Three Village Swim Club in East Setauket.

Youngest, Damien, received his Masters in Business Administration from Stony Brook and was invited to the NFL’s Pro Day at Columbia. All 32 NFL Scouts were present. The family is both proud and anxious!

Middle son, Quentin, got his own digs the beginning of the year!

Champ the VetDog, Contour Mortgage’s service dog in training, paid a heartwarming visit to the Marty Lyons Foundation in New York for “Kisses for Wishes.” Champ’s mission was to spread love and kisses for donations to benefit the Marty Lyons Foundation, an organization that grants wishes to terminally ill children. On Valentine’s Day, Champ presented the foundation with a $1,000 check. Champ saved his biggest kiss for Marty!
