DOG ADOPTION EVENT

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our adoption event! We raised over $5,000 for Carol’s Senior Pet Sanctuary and helped some adorable dogs find their furever homes.

EASTER BASKET DONATIONS

Once again, we got together to assemble Easter Baskets to donate to Helping Hand Rescue Mission’s Spring into Easter Event. Thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered, we couldn’t have done it without you. In the end, we collected enough to put together 390 Easter Baskets!

WALK FOR ALZHEIMER’S

In honor of our agent, Geri Hackett, we organized a walk for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. We collected donations for both the Alzheimer’s Association and Geri and her family. We are so grateful for all of the generous contributions and support that helped to make this such a successful event!

FOOD PANTRY UPDATE

Shoutout to all of our offices who collected for our food pantry this quarter. In January our Hampton Bays donated to St. Rosalie’s Community Food Pantry, serving Hampton Bays, East Quogue and South of Duck, Flanders. For February, Cold Spring Harbor donated to the Tri Community and Youth Agency, dedicated to supporting the growth and development of youth and their families in Huntington, South Huntington and Cold Spring Harbor. And in March, East Northport donated to the Central Islip Civic Council, dedicated to improving the quality of life for all residents of Central Islip and surrounding areas.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH

For Black History Month, the Director of Signature’s DEI Division sat down with Patricia America, our East Northport Manager, for a month-long series, covering a range of topics including an insider’s dialogue on Diversity in Leadership, understanding the historical context of African American homeownership and embracing diversity through a lens of understanding and compassion.

BLOOD DRIVE

Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual blood drive in partnership with the New York Blood Center. This year we had a total of 30 donations, saving 90 lives!

Nancy Kelly Fauser welcomed her newest grandchild, Charles Joseph Kenny, weighing in at 8 lbs, 15 oz on Friday, March 22nd

Dee Donovan’s daughter, Shannon Donovan Diaz, closed on her 1st home in Smithtown.

Lois Bellomo’s newest grandchild, David Carl Szwed, arrived on Feb 27th at 6:28 pm, weighing in at 7lbs, 7 oz.

Marguerite Abizeid-Hachem’s, son Mikel, has been accepted to the University of Connecticut! He was one of 57,000 students that applied! He begins in Fall 2024.

Sherry Acker’s daughter, Madison, is being interviewed with executive producers to be a contestant on Hell’s Kitchen

Jamie Marcantonio is now the proud grandparent of a precious baby boy, Duke Ray, born March 7th

Mark Fisher’s oldest son and his wife brought Walker James Fisher into the world on Feb 6th

Joann Aronson had another exciting quarter! Alexis & Samantha Papadopoulos made President’s list with a 4.0. Samantha was voted President of her class & Alexis was voted Vice President of hers. Zachary qualified for the NYS Baseball games held in June in Upstate, NY. He has also maintained another 4.18 GPA, was accepted into the leadership program, made math honor society, the leader board for PBR NY for Catching Showcase and for TTS Leaderboard For Catching Showcase (youngest player at this one).

Jono Aronson received the Unsung Hero award from the Smithtown Childrens Foundation in acknowledgement of his service to the community.

Susan Asaro’s daughter, Gia, married Chris Cronin on February 2nd

Christina Del Giudice’s son, Connor, went to the Marine Corps in Feb and will graduate on May 3rd .

Loren Roye’s daughter, Alyssa Attard, married the love of her life, Eric Sveinsson, on October 20, 2023 at a beautiful rooftop ceremony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico at the Hyatt Regency on Clearwater Beach!

Janet Manno’s son’s friend, Billy Schettino, was killed on the LIE 12 years ago. Billy’s dream was always to help bring a skate park to the Blue Point area. When he was young, the kids would all skateboard an empty lot that they referred to as “The Wastelands.” Billy always said he was going to make it a park. 12 years later his dream came true when all of the hard work, efforts, friends and family of the Schettinos helped make it a reality– a new skate park was dedicated on Saturday, March 30th , Billy’s Park on Park Avenue in Blue Point. It was a beautiful moment for all who helped; so happy to see that their efforts did something great for the community and to memorialize Billy.

Laura Stubenvoll and husband, Bill, celebrated 40 years married on March 17th, with their three daughters and their significant others at Prime Steakhouse in Huntington!
