10 TH ANNUAL MONTAUK TRIP We were back with a vengeance this year for our tenth annual retreat! Our Signature family invaded Montauk for two days of relaxation and fun. It was great closing out the summer season with so many of us together. We’re already looking forward to next year!

SURFER’S WAY OUTINGS We hit the beach again this summer with Surfer’s Way in Long Beach and there was no shortage of smiles! With some help from Contour Mortgage, the kids & volunteers had a blast surfing the day away. Surfer’s Way is a non-profit organization designed to offer children with special needs the opportunity to experience the exhilaration and liberation of surfing. We’re honored to be able to sponsor this event again and we can’t wait for next year. Thank you to Elliot and everyone else at Surfer’s Way for all the incredible work they do to bring the joy of surfing to so many amazing kids!
OLIVIA HOPE FOUNDATION GOLF OUTING Together with our very own Lisa Lauricella, we were lucky enough to help sponsor this event. Olivia Hope LoRusso fought a 15 month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The Olivia Hope Foundation was created based on Olivia’s hope: that someday children with cancer will not have to suffer the way she did. We’re so incredibly inspired by the LoRusso family and their dedication to honoring Olivia’s wish of ending childhood cancer.

BUILD-A-BACKPACK
Every summer our agents get to work collecting backpacks and school supplies for our annual Build-a-Backpack program. Our goal is to help kids get ready to go back to school with everything they need to succeed. This year we donated over 200 backpacks filled with supplies to United Way of Long Island. Thank you to all of our agents & friends who donated supplies & volunteered their time, Signature Cares wouldn’t be possible without all of you!

Andy Berardi and his wife welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Ava Rose, this September. Ken and Pamela Hanlon just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on September 25th.
Karen Orrach’s daughter, Kristin, graduated from the University of Michigan, where she will continue on for her master’s degree before medical school. Devin Sullivan’s nephew, Liam O’Grady, received his naval aviation wings at the top of his class. His youngest brother, Declan, had the honor of pinning him. Declan started his first year at Ohio State on a full scholarship with the Army ROTC!
Maria Raheel of the NYPD Intelligence Bureau, was promoted to Detective. Her 17-year-old brother was granted the Falcon scholarship from the Air Force Academy & ranked as private. Both wore their uniforms for the first time together– 1st female police officer & military son to proud parents.
On September 25th, Brittany Porcelli was inducted into the inaugural Bellmore Kennedy HS Athletic Hall of Fame for her achievements in both Tennis & Softball. She was 1 of only 53 chosen out of all the athletes in the history of the school!
Zachary Sogluizzo successfully ran the Long Island Half Marathon! Mark Fisher moved to Huntington Station from Bloomington, Illinois to be with his fiancé, after a fateful way to meet miles apart. Fern Margolies’ son, Neil Zaken, got engaged to Sari Bodner.
Kathy DeVine is now serving as VP of the Rocky Point SD Friends of Music organization, fundraising to supplement all music activities district wide…Donations of any used instruments can be made by contacting Kathy directly! Linda & John Callegari welcomed daughter, Leanna Joyce, into the world on September 23rd at 1:01pm. Nancy DeMartinis’ daughter, Kristyn, is newly engaged to James White, planning an August 2022 wedding. Michael Alonzo and his daughter Angeli Pemberton, celebrated the christening of his granddaughter, Emily Lucille, on September 26th.
Peter & Donna Calabrese celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on September 28th. The proud parents also celebrated the engagement of Taylor Calabrese & Tyler Biscone on September 25th!
Lisa Teich’s daughter, Jess, made Dean’s list at the prestigious Tulane University for both freshman semesters. Ann Pizaro’s son graduated US Coast Guard boot camp on July 30th as part of the College Student PreCommissioning Initiative program. Now an Officer Trainee finishing his last year at Stony Brook, he’ll then attend the USCG Academy next August for 17 weeks to become an Officer.
Robin Rosenberg’s daughter, Brooke, made the Varsity soccer team at Smithtown East HS– 1 of only 3 freshman to make the team.
Kristin Lettieri welcomed daughter, Alivia Rose, on July 16th at 7:44pm, making Debbie a proud grandparent!
